stagger: 1) I pay tithes AND I give MASSIVELY to not just the needy but to the destitute and all who are associated with me. I have always paid my workers a 13th month, give them rice, chicken and a box of Indomie for as long as I can remember. I give out clothes to my gatemen as their inheritance (non-negotiable). Every December I go home, there are families who are fed three times a day from my house. And guess what? My money continues to enlarge! Telling me to stop paying tithes is not going to work because I have proved that scripture and it works! I have a colleague who argues against tithes and still can afford to spend hundreds of thousands of naira on women. He will go to hell if he continues and I have told him so severally.
2) John Okafor as far as I know, divorced his first wife and is living with another woman. THAT IS CLEAR CUT ADULTERY and he is on his way to hell. God says, I know my sheep and My sheep know Me. John quoting Jesus in his post is a noisemaker. He is very far from God as long as he lives with that strange woman.
3) A bishop must be the husband of one wife (1 Timothy 3 verse 2). It is for this reason that I can NEVER be a part of Kris Okoite's church because he has flouted God's law on this issue. Good for him that he has withdrawn himself from that adulterous relationship, but the moment he goes on to marry another woman again, he will be judged by God himself based on the bible he preaches from. I am in Winners and my spiritual fathers are husbands of one wife! So saying "my pastors" is a total lie. Kris Okotie is not my pastor. For the same reason, I stopped listening to Paula Whyte and I stopped giving to her ministry long ago.
God's word is clear on a lot of issues. my brother, all you have said, including the bragging about what you claimed you are giving to others, can not change the fact of the issues raised by the actor. If your GO can do just 1/4 of what you claimed you did, nobody would have been castigating him, until your GO repents of his Worldly ways, the Mr Ibus of this world will keep condemning him. So don't waste your time defending your GO's lifestyle, because nobody will care to listen to you. |

Christianity Etc › Re: $240 And $100 For Blessings By Matthew Ashimolowo by ABAKA72(m): 8:13am On Nov 30, 2012 |
Deep Sight: Earlier this week (Tuesday, I believe) Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo was at HICC Church in Gbagada as a Guest Preacher.
He informed the audience that there is something he does which is called a 24 hour blessing in which those who tap into it receive a huge blessing within 24 hours. According to the Pastor, Those who wanted this special blessing were to come out and line up and sow a seed of USD $ 240.00 (Two hundred and forty USD).
He informed the congregation that there is also another special blessing which requires paying $100 and also asked those paying this sum to come out and form a second line.
He further said that those who wanted both special blessings should come forth and form a third queue between both queues and come out with $340.
All queues were full, long and crowded.
I was informed of this by a relative of mine who is a member of the Church and was filled with disgust.
He wondered why these "blessings" are not available to those who could not afford such sums. Among the crooked MOG Ashimolowo is the creziest. |

aurenflani: Actually it is the North that is going to sound the drum of breakig away. They have made too much discovery of the enormous wealth beneath their soils, and so have decided everyone should go their own way. How many of you even know that most of the oil fields in Niger and Chad have heavy northerner's investments running them? The north have realised that they do not have to rely on the ports in the south for anything as even now it is cheaper to import through other countries like Benin and Togo. Two west African countries. The north does not depend on the south for anything whatsoever and will not need the oil from the Niger Delta.
But one interesting thing about the Oil in Nigeria is that the North is a very strong partner in the investment to exploring the oil right from the beginning just like the east. The right of the north to continue making money from the Niger Delta oil cannot be compromised even if challenge, just as the east too can claim their own part of the oil money. Shell would testify this as the records are their.
I rest my case. So, let the North stay on their own then, it will be to everyone's good. If they have so much advantage, why must they insist on lumping themselves with the south and dragging everybody down. |

Siena: I understand. But that means the thread title is misleading, it's quite clear what it's saying.
Personally, I don't see Innoson as a manufacturer. What components in their vehicles are wholly Nigerian made? Even down to the basic plastic parts? I've looked at the pick-up truck, and the bodyshell is actually an Isuzu. So it's not even built by the Chinese. The engines, running gear and interior trim may well have Chinese content, but it's an Isuzu clone. The same goes for the buses, clones of their respective originals.
So where does the INNOSON angle figure? And just one thing - is anyone here old enough to remember Eddy-Bongos back in the mid '70's to the early '80's? ANAMMCO (Anambra Motor Manufacturing Company)? ANNAMCO churned out vehicles under the Eddy-Bongos brand, which were in fact thinly disguised Mazda commercial buses. I was a not even a teenager back then, but I still understood the concept. How different is INNOSON?
While I admire Chukwuma's concept, providing local employment, it would be false to claim INNOSON is an assembly plant. Forgot fully robotised production, there are hand-built cars even today, which are mostly exclusive, non mass-produced vehicles. This is very different from INNOSON.
And before the word "hater" gets bandied about, think carefully. If someone has a contrary view, it doesn't make them a "hater". It simply means (at least in this context) that they're putting emotion aside, and thinking outside the box. while you sweat, puff and fret trying to disprove the reality on ground, Innoson motors grows. I understand you are not happy because it is not happening in Lagos or Ibadan, well, am sorry, it is not anybody's fault, you people should work harder and do less talking, that's the secret. |

taharqa: You shameless pips are still repeating this LIE (sorry, Line) that 'GEJ feeds himself with #3million everyday', abi? Una no know say that lie don dey busted since? You guys just took the Budget Sum under the heading 'Meals, Refreshments and other Miscellaneous expenses' for the whole of the Villa and simply divided it by 365 and viola it becomes: 'GEJ spends #3million to feed himself everyday'! Of course for Propaganda purposes, no need to really read through the Budget details. This was how some of you also said in October that 'GEJ and his vice would be using #1.3billion to feed themselves' next year (2013), again without looking through the details.
Anyways, the details of that sub-head has been widely reported in Nigerian newspapers recently, and we now know that only #203million is actually to be used for Meals and Refreshments out of the #1.3billion sub-head. We also now know that unlike the LIE you guys were peddling about, this #203million would actually be used not just for the 1st and 2nd families but also the hundreds of workers in the Villa (including the Domestic staff), for hundreds of people that visit the Villa every other week, for Visiting Dignitaries including State Dinners, for Presidential Retreats and hosting (eg like the one organised for the successful ParaOlympians recently), for FEC meeting 52 times a week, for Council of State meeting etc. When last did you even have the opportunity to know the amount of money Aso Rock uses to feed 'itself' item-by-item (a sort of 'state secret' before now)?Like I said that LIE have been totally busted; you guys should find another one abeg.
It is also a pity that you goons would openly say that 'GEJ is the most wasteful President in the Nation's history'! How on earth that is even remotely correct completely escapes me? I mean on what parameter was this arrived at: Overhead costs, Recurrent Budget, Deficits or what really? GEJ has reduced Overhead votes from N526billion in 2010 when he came in to N266billion in 2012 to projected N230billion in 2013(next year)-and this is the main measure of cost of Governance. He also reduced Recurrent Component of the budget from 77.43% in 2010 to 74.43% in 2011 to 71.47% in 2012 to around 68.7% in 2013(next year). He has also reduced Budget deficit from 3.35% of GDP in 2010 to 2.96% in 2011 to 2.85% in 2012 to projected 2.17% in 2013(next year).
Of note is that each of these cost measures increased almost every year since 1999, and GEJ not only stopped that trend but actually started to reverse it. He is also on the verge of implementing what is arguably the most radical Rationalization of the many redundant/duplicated Agencies of Govt via the Oronsaye's report. A wasteful president that has increased the foreign reserve to levels higher than when he 1st met them (ie to a more than 2-yr high of $46billion - though it decreased previously under him). Again, how can he even remotely be the most wasteful President ever? Only in you guy's HATE-FILLED minds, perhaps?
The argument can very certainly be made that MUCH MORE still needs to be done to cut cost (both on the Federal sides and the states and LGs) but to say that the costs have increased or that they are not decreasing is a LIE only shameless PROPAGANDISTS like your guys, can fathom.

leftone: Akingbemaru might be right. I work at the apapa port and I see Inosson consignments come in. They are what we call CKD(completely knocked down) goods which are assembled in Nigeria. This is so because it attracts a low rate of duty. Inosson imports CKD vehicles and only assembles here. I can say that as a fact. Don't get me wrong here. It is a very good innovation. I only mentioned this because of the fact manufacturing and assembling was mentioned. It is cheaper to manufacture in china and asemble here. OK you were at the port? Have you been to the factory to see what percentage of the products that are manufactured locally? there is no car manufacturer anywere in the world that does not import components, be it Toyota, ford, GM, mazda, Honda etc. So because Boeing imports the landing gear(wheel) suspension system and some component of their computer system from Indian manufacturers, they are no longer the makers of those aircrafts?
