But to me i'd have said a member of a group of people elected or appointed (as the case my be) to take care of the interest if his people....in a layman's language I'd say a person choosed by the people to serve the people..

Now the phrase serve means "servant"
Choosen is the act of "democracy"

These people or persons are overpaid servants charged with putting the resources of the people into good use and creating riches for the people using the resources that the people have. they are charged with making sure the already put in place resources like health care and security are used to the utmost length to make sure this resiurces are used to the Betterment of the people (the real owners).

Meaning that instead of a man drilling the oil in his land by himself.. the community put one person in control to drill everyone's oil, sell the oil and use the money for the betterment of everyone .. including the poor.. that's why even poor men in the US use iPhone 11.. but you who isn't poor by all standards can you afford an iPhone 11 and still live comfortably?
And when the people feel the person they put on top of them isn't doing what he is supposed to do... They are to come out peace fully and protest, while doing this the other arms of the government who are independent of each other but stringed into each other go into meetings and see if what the people (who they are part of) are saying is true..if it is they start the process of removing the leader..

Now the security apparatus attached to any government official is not meant for his protection but for the protection of the office he carries....



Heres the problem with Nigeria...
We see the people we elect as gods...
That's why the when a government uses you ur own money to build roads for you, you come out dance and praise the Government.. because you don't see the road as your right, you see the road as the government remembering you...When in fact the governor is just doing what he is elected to do...


Ask yourself this question, does the president or governor see himself as a servant?, Does he work for the betterment of everyone? Is he no partisan and impartial?

Our problem is not God.. it's us we are cowards...
We are forced and killed to vote..

We are forced to suffer while the people we elect are using our money to better only themselves...

Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but with our GDP which was over 400 billion USD before to shrink to 250 billion USD in 2020 due to corona virus pandemic not only fuel subsidy would go causing fuel hike, forex subsidy would follow causing price hike in foriegn products, and the worst part food stuff and agricultural produce would go super expensive with the epileptic rain fall patterns which has been hindering farming activities
