I'm sorry but I don't like the dress on her at all.

She did so well last award season, what's happening now?

The dress don't look right on her and doesn't flatter her figure in my eyes ie from what I see.
It's a miss 4 me...

What figure does she have

I love this babe's style. She has managed to pull off the absolutely gorgeous, the good, the bad and the incomprehensible and she just somehow knows how to own every piece and project the perfect image of westernized African woman in all her pieces.

There's something unique about her style because when you look at her hair cut and her lean body frame you would naturally expect that she would be that yo-tom-boy-kind-of-girl. But infact, her style is far cry from boyish as she continues to rule the red with unique floor length pieces!

Now to the look, I absolutely love the ensemble on her, although, it's an outfit that may not look nice on every woman. A woman with a fuller bust might have all the attention drawn to the twins if they tried this dress (given the details around the bustline), making the look less desirable.

Her accesories complement the outfit quite nicely; she kept to the rule- 'simple for complex' i.e minimal accesories for a dramatic frock.
Note to Some Nigerian celebrities: you can see that she didn't use any gaudy neckpiece to literally 'finish off' the outfit.

In all, I agree that the dress is flirty on the upper side but the fullness of it, makes it suitable for a red carpet for an event with such a high magnitude as the Golden Globes.

I trust sharp naija woman!!! She will accept the proposal, use one of the iphones, start business with the money realised from the sale of the remaining 98 iphones, and call it quits after a little while, with an excuse that she doesn't like his name(yes! Something as flimsy as that).
Life goes on... The man keeps paying for the phones for the next 5years (Owo maga ish).... Case closed!!!

Fashion / Will Crop Tops Become A Street Fashion Trend In Nigeria??? by abbyrian(f): 12:57pm On Dec 09, 2013
Each time I pick up one of these top fashion mags in Nigeria to read, I am appalled when I read fashion write ups ranting about the 'crop top' as an emerging fashion trend in Nigeria. The magazines talk about the summer and how the crop top is the perfect outfit to remain stylish and comfortable for the season. It's understandable, that we are going global and so is our fashion drive but the crop top becoming a trend That's pushing overboard, in my opinion. Well, that's my opinion, please let me know what you think

Politics / Re: My Encounter With An Armed Robber This Afternoon by abbyrian(f): 1:28am On Oct 16, 2013
I served between 2012 april and 2013 feb in Umuahia and I stayed 2 streets away from that school mentioned in the post.
During my service year I used to hang out at primary schls, sometimes, I'll hangout @ deir stadium, whenever I sought a cool ambience. Umuahia is a small place with very few relaxation centres(don't know of any personally, apart from beer parlors and eateries.), if you're not an eatery person or a beer parlour person and you like to have some time to urself, u probably will find urself in OP's shoes.
Also, considering the high level of miscreants and 'poverty-stricken criminals' I noticed while I served, I have no reason to doubt OP's story.

There's something about that Bermuda triangle at her back that looks like a DIY version(like she had the shirt cut out herself to reveal the hideous tattoo), I hate tattoos; hence a personal bias.
And the hair? Why did she make a hairstyle that will reveal her flaw of a receding hairline? 'Almost' a complete disaster I'll say.

Celebrities / Lola Rae's Dress Made From Shredded Sack Of Rice!!! by abbyrian(f): 12:51pm On Sep 17, 2013
I know you jumped in thinking it was actually made of shredded sack of rice...lol. But the singer's(never heard her song before tho') shimmery 'fringed' dress she donned at the Davido's summer concert in the Uk does actually give a redolence of a shredded sack of rice, well... to me.

Will you rock it

Fashion / Re: Would You Wear This On Your Wedding Day. by abbyrian(f): 11:59am On Sep 17, 2013
I like to take risks and experiment with fashion, but the one day I wouldn't want take those risk would be on my wedding day. These dresses are statement makers and without the right attitude and personality they can easily be overpowering and then it becomes a case of the dress wearing the person as the against the norm.

Lemme quickly add that wedding dresses are meant to be timeless such that when you see pix from a 2013 wedding in 2030, it still looks acceptable and classy for that time period. The question is do these dresses fall into the ageless category

Celebrities / Re: Davido Is Still A Virgin!!! PROOF!!! by abbyrian(f): 11:41am On Sep 17, 2013
See me ooooo!!! I dey laugh at myself in all foreign languages... When I saw 'proof!!!', I was hoping to find pictures or link or something concrete, not knowing that all na word of mouth!!! @ OP, so if you have a case in court and you are asked for evidence, will you tell them that you wish you had gotten the evidence, but that you are sure about what you are saying Dem don lock you up before u know it. lol. grin cheesy

As for all these local soft sell magazine, what you see is never what you get, they will publish anything that will catch people's attention on their front page only for you to read further and you will find dat it's B.S (like I just did). Also, these days, the ever 'anonymous reliable source' has been abused as magazines often use it as a veil for their speculations.

I saw the picture with the Bella Naija watermark about a week ago and I completely winced at how old the make up made her look, I'm sure many online style watchers will agree with me on this one. It seemed like she wore a face mask and it was too heavy, hence the contrived smile... But when I saw these two latest pictures(ones with overtly conspicuous pink lipstick), the one former started to look 'angelic'...If you get what I mean.
Seriously, this lady needs to fire whoever does her make up. And if she does it herself? I don't know about that one o! lipsrsealed

Hmmmmm.... On a second thought, I don't think Chinese men should not have a problem with rocking the trend, or what do you think?
Fashion / Male Leggings With Photos (would You Rock It?) by abbyrian(f): 4:47pm On Sep 05, 2013
Ok... I think I'm beginning to have a problem with all these 'ings' fashion... First it was leggings, then jeggings and later treggings. You think it stops at that right? Wait till you hear about meggings!!! Meggings, as the name suggests, is supposedly a male version of Leggings/Jeggings. This is one virus I earnestly hope will not creep into the African society. Feel free to agree or disagree with me. What do you think about the trend? Crap or Spot On?

Odunski: At the test venue now.Not too many people are here unlike other aptitude test though.I'm schedule for 12:15pm anyway.
I'm also scheduled for same time. But I'm not near the centre in nyway, I've written test for workforce in the past and on each occasion, we were delayed by abt 1 or 2hrs, but I don't know if this one wld be like the previous. I'm at work now and I won't like to take permission to leave earlier only to get there for a seemingly endless wait.
But this one dat u're saying that there aren't many peeps ehn...

wit wat pple ve said, i guess d company sud b a NMC cos some pple submitted their answer sucessfuly yet were invited 4 diz test. I pray diz new test sud nt affect d date of release of d FBN TEST.

I don't think the new test to be conducted by workforce will in anyway affect the release of FBN test results.
I have a feeling the reason workforce hasn't contacted successful candidates yet, is because FBN hasn't given them the say-so, cause I heard that FBN's recruitment is for next year (maybe early next year idk).
