perdollar: all those saboteurs of Igbo origin wl die mysteriously untill they return to d religion of our region. with ds idiots in my region I can't guarantee a peaceful future for my generations on born. they r better dead than turn igboland into SW, North, middle East, NA.
You are such a hypocritical bigot. What is the religion of your region? Christianity Christianity was also bought into South East by the missionaries. U need to be tolerant and let peace be.
Rawhumper: Sometimes i am not sympathetic with the middlebelt, they were the main force in the nigerian army that fought the biafran wars.
But after the war,the Hausa/Fulanis aystematically purged their officers after the overthrow pf Gowon, that was why Dimka struck and killed Murtala, the likea of Bisalla, etc.
I laugh when presently i hear middlebelt say they are no longer Northerners unlike in the past they claimed to be North.
Its so sad that they realized they were used late.
The Yorubas crave for their own State if the Igbos have their Biafra cos they know no tribe except the igbos can withstand the onslaught of the North, though marginalised and divided, the igbos still stand formidable.
Imagine what will happen if the whole Igbos rally together, this is the fear of the North. I bet you nobody can stand them.
Please let us stand united against injustice and marginalised.
All tribes should put aside their doubts and hatred against the Igbos, and stand behind the tribe because the bitter truth is that the survival of other tribes rests with the Igbos.
So becareful when u work against the igbos cos u we need eachother.
quote author=EsomahJD post=92252241]Today in History. 45 years ago, on 29 July 1975: Gen. Yakubu Gowon, President of Nigeria, was in Kampala attending the OAU meeting when he heard--via one of his aides--that he had been ousted from office in a military coup.
Reuters captured the moment when Gowon was given the news.
Did u see how u overhyped the igbos and downgrade other tribes, and u still want the other tribes to rally behind you and support you? Who does that? It is this ur overbearing attitudes and self proclaimed superpower that will be ur waterloo. How can u abuse other tribes and then want them to support u? U guys lack diplomacy at all.
masterflowx: Bubu and evil short man are the people masterminding the attacks in that region.
El Rufai and Bubu are working hands to hand to islamize Nigeria at all cost. His action in 2015 months after he was elected as the executive governor of that state says a lot on the recent attacks in southern kaduna. The clapped down of Christains worship centers in Kaduna is part of Bubu's agenda to wipe Christianity out of Nigeria.
This islamization crap is stale already. Islamization or christianization of the nation is not possible. Stop this fear mongering
Nbotee: All dis their eye service meetings... Southern Kaduna have been under siege in recent times and with each attack comes a deafening silence by d govt.. No declaration of emergency, no deployment of policemen and security agencies to the region, no statement whatsoever..
Stop spreading false information. Emergency has been declared there, and there is even curfew and security personnel are there now.
chinchonglee: it affects us because ur beliefs wont let us sleep in peace... everything abt ur Islam is aggressive and its causes war and chaos... I wont lie to Islam is the real problem and threat the world is facing right now.
if the teachings of Allah and Mohammed is what Muslims around the world exhibits, I kid u not u av to change religion.
Islam is peace and it is peaceful, don't take the act of the extremists as a representation of Islam. Just as I wouldn't also take the actions of some so called Christians whose acts didn't represent what Bible says. Most of what is happening in some Middle East countries are actually politics shrouded in religion and some western countries are among those perpetuate the crisis, Iraq and Libia are few examples. Some people criticize Muslims and Islam but go to Islamic countries to reside, business, flex and find job,e.g UAE, Malaysia, Qatar, Turkey, Brunei, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and many more. And these countries are even more peaceful and prosperous than where you come from.
chinchonglee: Lie!!! Some religion and its beliefs affects the universe negatively...
Dnt be biased bro.
All of u cannot be the same in this world. How does their laws affect u? Did they impose their laws on u that is residing here in Nigeria? Unlike the western countries especially US that try to impose their ways of life on our societies. We shouldn't be hypocritical of others but tolerance
SarkinYarki: Most of the communities in Zamfara being attacked where either Christian minorities or pagan traditional communities ... Don't come here and think you can try to hide the genocide going on in Northern Nigeria ...The world is busy with COVID now but soon they will have time for those sponsoring the genocide
U seriously and openly lied and u know it. What do u benefit from lying?
selemempe: Arrewa my muslima brother from the other side of the divide Kai Bura mana The truth is that the north is violent. Let's call a spade a spade. The reason for this violence Can be found in the way your families are constituted. An abokìna with no steady job marries 4 wives and gives birth to 18 children that he has no clear plan of training. He sends them out as almajiris to be trained by the streets. How do you think someone trained by the streets will behave? Someone who never got love from his or her parents? They will simply become menaces to society. Even if the killings in southern Kaduna is religiously motivated or not, the almajiri system you guys have had for over 300 years fuels the killings with young, unstable, Ill trained Hausa boys with nothing to live for. When a place becomes over populated, nature will balance itself out and force the population down one way or another
And the south are not brutal shey? Have u forgotten the brutal killing of 4 students in PH few years ago? What about the almost every day killing between rival cult group? The ritual killings, assassination, communal clashes and kidnapping? Look, u can exonerate the south from brutal killing also.
OROSUNBOLB: Nothing will ever convince me that she was not murdered by the murderous ethnic group that wants to dominate everything and all things in Nigeria. How come Mr Buhari couldn't meet her eyes ,in the video, while she was explaining some of the features of that attack helicopter ? I expected him to be visibly happy with her and showed that he was impressed. He couldn't even pretend to be happy, perhaps he would have if Tolu had been a fulani girl !
Those who secretly celebrate Tolulope's death will be met with a sudden death at the doorstep of their success.
Chaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. Nothing will ever satisfy these conspiracy theorists. As far as the narration didn't go their own way, they will still be adamant. I am so sure if those involved were names from the north or Muslims, u would all have go haywire with excitement and validation. It is just a pity that a lot of u now think irrationally.
Taye4j: Look at this one arguing foolishly, she's from Edo. Have you seen an aboki achieving such feats !
I thought you were intelligent not knowing that you are such a dullard. So, everybody from the north is now hausa or aboki to u? Wooow, what a dullard. FYI, Northern Nigeria has more tribes and languages than the south. There are more than 100 different tribes in the north but the media has brainwashed u guys to think that anybody from the north is hausa and Muslim, LOL. I have secondary school mate who bear that name "Mayaki" and she is a northerner Christian from the middle belt or north central. U need to travel and get more expose. Also, northerners are also making names outside the country also, Google about Jelani Aliyu.
Your experience in the East was a beautiful one. No doubt. it's the East afterall ...not North
Some of us, if we are to be deployed to any Northern part of Nigeria, we'll seek for redeployment ASAP
...the middle belt is probably even more manageable than the core North which happens to be the "most dangerous" places to be in in Nigeria.
The same perception OP has about the SE is the same u have wit the north. It is called danger of a single story. I know many of ur folks who came to do their NYSC here in the north and refuse to go back. They really enjoy their staying and are even having family here. FYI, there are many states here in the north that are far more peaceful than many states in South East. U may be surprise if I tell u this, but my first time of hearing gun shot was in Anambra state but that shouldn't make me write the state off as a violent state. Borno was very very peaceful before the advent of this BH issue, and no religion crises despite that it is a state with multiple religions. Lot of Igbos are still there and can attest to the peace of the state devoid of this BH which I hope it will soon be over with time.
bigtt76: While ài agree with you this is an economic protest, I don't think he was wrong to posit that it could lead to a religious uprising. Big sallah is coming and coupled with the Covid19 situation, it could form the basis of a potential religious crisis if not properly managed. They're always looking for the avenue to do this. Pampered souls
Nope u got it wrong, it can never lead to riots against religion or tribe. If the protest has underlying factors like desecration of the Holy Book or Holy Prophet, or the corpses of northerners kill somewhere were brought to the north, ehen, in that case, I can agree that it may to riot and loss of lives. But this one is against the government, so it is between the protesters and the government forces. This is not the first time economic protests is happening, it happen during GEJ also against increase in petrol price, many years ago, it also happen against the VC BUK. It is just that u guys like to associate anything about the north to bloodshed which is wrong, bigotry and danger of a single story.
Openbusiness4: Na dia way. Before u know it, dey will turn it to a religious war and start killing innocents
This is all false. That is how riot start in Kano. I have been in Kano for over 30 years and has witness riots that happen, but it doesn't happen this way. If it was protest about corpses of northerners brought from another (e.g sagamu riot) or protest about desecration of the Holy Quran or Holy Prophet, then yes, I can agree that it can lead to riots and lost of lives. But this protest is economic protest, it wouldn't lead to riot except faceoff between the protesters and security personnel. Most of u guys has never been to North but will be thinking that you know everything about them.
Bros, yhu are very very funny. Abeg no let anyone hear this o.
What! Dem dey everywhere bros.
Even private schools ain't free from it too - these days.
It is something funny, there is no cultism in core north. I schooled in core north and I know the in and out of it. Some students here don't even know what is called cultism. Just as some don't know what is call 'sorting', cos it doesn't exist here.
E no dey everywhere for 9ja,we don't have cultism in the north especially core north. I know many students who left schooling in the south cos of cultism and come up north to school.
NOC1: It is same in all states, from Lagos- Ebonyi- Portharcourt down to Aba, even in the street of owerri getting to Kogi and Benue, those in Jos and zaria are not left out the bandits ravaging NorthEast and West are products of cultism.
We don't have cultists in the north. The bandits are criminals but not products of cultism.
Philadelphia: Where are the lies? Oh! You agree to the AKK project but claim it's gas that's being piped. Isn't this gas from crude oil?
Aside the gas piping, how many northerners own oil blocks? Who own more of the oil blocks in Nigeria? Where are the MD's and GMD of our indigenous oil companies and subsidiaries from?
Check facts before coming here to say what you don't know.
By the way, your moniker makes it clear where you're coming from.... I'm not surprised.
U see, that is where the problem lies. U check my moniker and concluded I am hausa, right? Which is wrong. Not every Muslims is hausa and also there are millions of indigenous Christians in the north. Most MD of indigenous oil companies are from the south. Forte, Seplat, Oando and many more. Although there are lot of hausas in NNPC, for that I can agree. And oil block is shared among all the ethnic groups.
rummmy: The average Hausa man no dey use refined oil cook. They are very poor to afford it. They prefer to use kuli kuli oil. Arrewa have many monikers oooo.
Another lie again. I don't know how u guys sit down in the comfort of your cubicle and say things u don't know about North that u have never visited. Kaiiiiiii, this bigotry is mind-boggling.
Philadelphia: The Northern leaders steal the oil resources from the South and East and use pipe to channel them to the north and from the proceeds, build factories. Make dem no worry. Tell them that we're coming back to the north to repossess our possessions.
Afterall, if they say that the oil produced in the South and East is "Nigerian oil", then their factories are also Nigerian factories and belongs to all Nigerians.
Las Las, everywhere go scatter then we go start from zero.
Liesssss. Apart from gas that it is being piped from Ajaokuta to kaduna and Kano, which it is still at infant and kaduna refinery that is moribund, there is no any oil that is piped to the north. And FYI, not every northerner make money from oil, just very few of them. Kano has been a commerce center even before the amalgamation of Nigeria.
adecz: Positive news out of northern Nigeria for once.
The only 'investment' their leaders sabi is usually to build mosques & more mossques.
Mossques that doesn't employ or feed anybody in a land of bandits, hunger, poverty, illiteracy, disease & underage marriages.
Kudos!!
LOL, hmmmm, person wey never see another person's farm will say his farm is the largest. FYI, a lot of industrialization and business is going on in North especially Kano. There are many Kano industrialists and business men worth millions and billions of naira, but they don't make noise. Come to sharada, challawa, bompai, Sakata, etc and see industries. Market nko, Hmmm, sabon Gari market, Bata, singer, dawanau, kurmi, and more. Come to Kano and see things, u will be wowed.
