prophecy: A prophet will come from among the brethren
of the Israelites; this prophet will be like Moses and God

fulfill this prophecy since all were Jews as well as prophets. AND THE PROPHESY IS TALKING ABOUT ONLY ONE PROPHET

However, it is Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who is like Moses
(pbuh):
i) Both had a father and a mother, while Jesus (pbuh) was
born miraculously without any male intervention.
[Mathew 1:18 and Luke 1:35 and also Al-Qur'an 3:42-47]
ii) Both were married and had children. Jesus (pbuh)
according to the Bible did not marry nor had children.
iii) Both died natural deaths
iv) Both besides being Prophets were also kings i.e. they
could
inflict capital punishment. Jesus (pbuh) said, "My
kingdom is not of this world." (John 18:36).
v) Both were accepted as Prophets by their people in their
lifetime but Jesus (pbuh) was rejected by his
people. John chapter 1 verse 11 states, "He came unto his
own, but his own received him not."
iv) Both brought new laws and new regulations for their
people. Jesus (pbuh) according to the Bible did not bring
any new laws. (Mathew 5:17-18) .
2. It is Mentioned in the book of Deuteronomy chapter 18:19
"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not harken
unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will
require it of him."

THIRDLY
God will put his words in the mouth of that
Prophet. The specific wording of the above verse is a vivid
description of the type of revelation received by
Muhammad. Angel Gabriel used to come and dictate to
him specific portions of the Quran that were then
repeated by Prophet Muhammad exactly as he had heard
them. Muhammad's own thought or authorship was not
involved in any way in what he uttered. The words of God
were put into his mouth. As the Quran itself described
53:3-4:
"He (Muhammad) does not speak of his own desire, it is no
less than a revelation sent down to him."


Jesus also mentioned that Muhammad would speak only
what he hears but not on his own. For example, in John
16:7,13 Jesus said,

ut I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I
am going away. Unless I go away , the Counselor will not
come to you[b]; but if I go, I will send him to you. But when
he the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all
truth. He will not speak on his own; [b] he will speak only
what he hears , and he will tell you what is yet to
come." (NIV)

If you think the Counselor is the Holy Spirit then
they are mistaken, because the Holy Spirit was already
present at the time of Jesus (John 20:22 Luke 3:22).
Moreover, the sentence does not make sense if it is
referring to a spirit; the sentence only makes sense if it is
referring to another prophet as Deuteronomy 18:18 states
a prophet.

that is in dealing with the people of disbelief and also in dealing with those
who have faith.


3. The Muslims were commanded to stand up for their religion and defend themselves against the persecution of the
disbelievers. Again, if we examine the historical context, we also find that this is referring to those who attacked the
Muslims continuously. So verses apply in a situation similar to the historical context . Since this verse mentions the
companions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and praises their path,

4 e very same day, Thumamah returned and declared his acceptance of Islam

5. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was commanded by God to bring people to the teachings of Islam

this message to others by saying:
He who is not merciful to others, will not be treated mercifully. (Muslim,
Volume 8, Book 73, Number 42)


The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) always displayed tolerance and compassion in his dealings with
people, including Non-Muslims. Dr. M. Hamidullah explains the following points:
When the Prophet Mohammed settled down in Medina, he found there
complete anarchy, the region having never known before either a State or a
king to unite the tribes torn by internecine feuds. In just a few weeks, he
succeeded in rallying all the inhabitants of the region into order. He
constituted a city state, in which Muslims, Jews, pagan Arabs and also
probably a small number of Christians, all entered into a statal organism by
means of a social contract. The constitutional law of this first 'Muslim' State -
which was the confederacy as a sequence of the multiplicity of the population
groups - has come down to us in toto, and we read therein not only in clause
25: "to Muslims their religion, and to Jews their religion," or, "that there would
be benevolence and justice," but even the unexpected passage in the same
clause 25: "the Jews . . . are a community (in alliance) with - according Ibn
Hisham and in the version of Abu-'Ubaid, a community (forming part) of - the
believers (i.e., Muslims)." The very fact that, at the time of the constitution of
this city-state, the autonomous Jewish villages acceded of their free will to the
confederal State, and recognized Muhammad as their supreme political head,
implies in our opinion that the non-Muslim subjects possessed the right of
votes in the election of the head of the Muslim State, at least in so far as the
political life of the country was concerned. (Hamidullah, Introduction to Islam ,

have the “true authentic Bible” to compare it with the Bible that we

the supposedly “authentic Bible,” does not this then prove that the
claim of Bible corruption is totally unsubstantiated? What happened
to Allah’s promise to preserve his messages? (Surah 15:9). Does not this then prove that the Bible in our possession is actually
the original authentic Bible that Allah has promised to preserve? Do you realize that by believing that the Bible has become corrupted,

studied the Bible in order to clear his doubts. Surah 10:94: “And if thou (Muhammad) art in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto thee, then question those who read the Scripture that was before thee. Verily the Truth from thy Lord hath come unto thee. So be not thou of the waverers.” (Pickthall) Those who read the Scriptures before Muhammad were the Jews and
the Christians. They read the Torah and the Gospel. We continue with our questions: When do you believe the Bible was corrupted, was this before or
after Muhammad? If before, does it make sense for Allah to direct Muhammad to seek
out those read corrupted Scriptures to clear his doubt? If before, why did Allah command Muhammad to seek guidance from
corrupted Scriptures to clear his doubts? If before, how can Allah say in the Qur’an that there is guidance and
light in the Torah and the Gospels? (Surah 5:44-46)
If after, how is this possible since the current translations of the Bible
are all based upon manuscripts that predate Muhammad? Since these ancient manuscripts are preserved in museums, is not the
claim by Muslims a lie?

Ihram is a state a Muslim enters into for his pilgrimage to Mecca. It
involves a series of procedures like ritual washing, wearing 'Ihram
garments', etc. Ihram was originally a pagan requirement for
worshipping idols during pre-Islamic times. Muhammad retained this
practice for Islam. Muslims assume Ihram to perform the Hajj or Umrah. Narrated 'Urwa: I asked 'Aisha : ...But in fact, this divine inspiration was
revealed concerning the Ansar who used to assume “Ihram” for
worshipping an idol called “Manat” which they used to worship at a
place called Al-Mushallal before they embraced Islam, and whoever
assumed Ihram (for the idol), would consider it not right to perform
Tawaf between Safa and Marwa. (Sahih Bukhari 2:26:706)
They continued their pagan ways of worship even when they
embraced islam. 3. PRAYING 5 TIMES TOWARDS MECCA Pagans prior to
Islam would pray five times per day towards Mecca.
Muhammad retained for Islam, this pre-Islamic practice, sanctioning it
with a story of a night trip to heaven on a mythical beast called al- Buraq. In heaven, the Hadith tells us that Allah demanded 50 prayers
per day per Muslim. Upon advice from Moses, Muhammed bargains
with Allah and successfully reduces it to five prayers per day.
Zoroastrians are also expected to recite their (kusti) prayers at least
five times a day.
