A crucial National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is going on to decide on offers made by the Federal Government team last week to persuade its striking members to return to work.

Ahead of the NEC meeting, various zones of ASUU had met also to consider the offer as well as inputs from the various branches for presentation to the NEC.

ASUU had embarked on an indefinite strike on August 14, accusing government of failure to redeem the terms of agreement signed in 2009 and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) endorsed by both parties in 2012.

One of the zonal coordinators of ASUU told Saturday Sun: “I must state that the offer from the Federal Government is a far cry from our members’ expectations. Let us see what comes out of this emergency NEC meeting. Many of our members are not happy with the way government is handling our demands. It is up to NEC to take a position on the on-going strike. Our members are prepared for a long strike, but it depends on the government.”

He debunked a claim by the Education Minister that ASUU would call off the strike this week, saying, “we didn’t promise the minister anything. We told the government team that we are going to consult with our members on what government has offered”.

He described the likely outcome of NEC meeting, as 50-50, saying members wanted to see concrete evidence that government was serious about meeting the demands. The minister, Mallam Adamu Adamu, had, admitted that “government has not fulfilled its part of the bargain, even though we are unhappy that ASUU went on this strike without following due process and giving us good notice. We realised that we promised something and we didn’t fulfill it.

No nation on this planet earth will ever tolerate the nonsense that kanu has done. Freedom of free speech has limitations. In America you can't just broadcast hate speeches on an illegal radio station against blacks and you will be expecting the US government to applaud you. It just doesn't work that way. When people keep shouting about rights and disobedience to court rulings, I keep wondering if the millions of Nigerians that kanu has been constantly threatening with deaths don't also have rights. Hypocrisy is one of our major problem in this country. When something suits you, it is OK. But when that same doesn't suit you and suit others, you begin to whine and wail, crying marginalization, persecution, witch hunting, tyranny and anarchy.

Kanu has every right to believe in his Biafra of a thing, I and many other Nigerians also have rights to believe and love our country Nigeria. Kanu can't just truncate the rights of other nigerians just bcuz he believe his right is above ours.

You are very welcome. Really kind of you to want to help her and all but you can't do love alone she has to want and be ready to come aboard.

I don't see any confusion she just does not want you to touch her.Start with the truth about your concerns.

This not about thinking about yourself only more like getting honest with yourself.

You can't force her to see a therapist or counselor if she does not want to and this is where the decision making comes in do you want her as is frigid and all or will you need her to not be frigid, less clingy to be yourself and happy in the relationship you have with her. As always this is about us what is acceptable or not before we go blaming the other person for being who they are or taking their time to process what they are experiencing.

Your story about the father of her child is sketchy but from what i read she does not seem frigid she could be shaken, be feeling bad and is not ready for a relationship that requires her to give so much yet. Maybe she is shut down for now and will open up later just don't be the rebound guy because that is equally possible don't mean to sow seeds of doubt or whatever but you get what i am saying plus you said you are feeling used trust your instincts and talk to clear up the issues.

the appropriate time is when married, but what will you say of a lady that has been Disvirgined before she met another person? One thing i have come across is that once a woman has lost her virginity it will take God's grace for her to stay away from sex for a long time so also men. The right thing is just that if those that are grown up have done it wrong those that are coming up should be taught on how to do it right.
