Please re-read the original post before commenting. I don't think must people understand the points stated in the original post. Recall:- either you go completely without underwears or with cotton material (light material). Though, the op stated he goes out without underwear at times. My opinion is going with underwears but with the light material such as cotton. |
This sums it up, President Goodluck is not capable of taking this fledging nation to new heights. Birds of the same feather, chip of the old block. President Goodluck is just like his political godfather Obasanjo (godfatherism since independence in Nigeria ask Sir Ahmedu Bello). Hence, he can do without him in politics. What a shame for the country! My advice to Mr. President 1. Do not declare for the presidential race come 2015. 2. Conduct a sovereign national conference. To put the country back on right track (remember the pogrom, secession and the war fought by the Igbos). 3. Declare an anti-corruption government starting with you and your cabinet (I know you wouldn't do it anyway cause you the chief leader). To put confidence in investors outside this country. 4. As in (1) above. Ensure you do not run for 2015 election but conduct a free and fair election (give us a credible leader no the cost). 5. Do not witch-hunter your enemies and as well do not plead for their support. Learn your past mistakes and move forward. 6. Become a hero and legend. Etc. You can add more advice for the president cause his adviser are not doing a proper job. |
This just arant nonsense and a means to seek cheap publicity.. as much as i am not for or against OBJs letter, it held me spell bound from begining to end even if it were 18 pages i read every single letter on every single page and looking forward to more, even if it were a hundred pages, i would have read it to the end, but this dokubo's letter is filled with jagons, not intresting to read, just blabing bullshit and jargon.. if you recal,.. i came to aso rock, i am the this of that.. what the Bleep? who gives a danm.. this letter is to shallow and lack s substance and has shown how and why an ijaw man should never rule this country.. forgive me, but asari sounds so unintelligent and just further shooting himself on the leg.. this is arant nonsense.. ranting cock and bull.. at a point i had to stop reading cos reading wasnt making ay sense to me no more, a letter of this magnitude should catch attention from begining to end like obasanjo's own did.. ok, compare and contrast a letter written by a yoruba man and an ijaw mans letter and tell me who should rule this country.. obasanjo ha issues with gbenga daniels but nevr resulted to policemen floking the streets of abeokuta like police men had to flock the streets of rivers state because gej has issues with rotimi amechi.. charity they say begins at home.. if rivers state is not at peace and that is the region where the president hails from, how then can the president manage nigeria as a whole if he can manage issues in rivers state.. asari dokubo is just adding salt to GEJ's injury.. these people are so daft mehn!.. i rest my case sha
This is so denigratory and naive. You sounded more unintelligent (forgive me as well. Denigratory right? No). With people like you, Nigeria will always be a mistake made some 100years ago called amalgamation. Your crave for tribal and ethnic beliefs clearly supersedes a one Nigeria slogan (1 Nigeria: which I support). Hence, Nigeria will not tolerate people like you (tribalist. Asari included). I hope you noticed that Asari did defend President Goodluck as a Nigerian President rather he defended him as an Ijaw man ( and rightly so, just like you). Tribalism has done more harm than good to the Nigerian polity. Politically, it was a move to gain ground by our founding fathers that erupted into an abysmal of endless struggle for ethnical control of power. Having said that, we the youths of this generation cannot ( and will never) join such stupid fights. Nigeria is our country (even though we were united or say amalgamated without consensus agreement). Hence, we should tolerate and coexist with other tribes within its jurisdiction. Remember the post independence coup and subsequent pogrom of the eastern Nigerians(called Igbos) which later led to their declaration of secession from Nigeria of which famously ended in a war (Nigeria-Biafra war). The scares from the war are still very fresh, 'no love lost', 'no hard feeling' yet these words sound so distant in our hears. Gen. Gowon sums it up 'no victor, no vanquished'. Having said all that, I think it is time we use our education to make the right decision. We cannot (I mean should never) allow tribal sentiment to override our national interest. Nigeria will not be first nor the last country to coexist diverse ethnic groups. Though a national conference will help to an extent to heal old wounds, but our determination will be the key to keeping Nigeria as one. Hence, I believe in one Nigeria (1 Nigeria). Hit the like bottom if you believe in one Nigeria. |
Just the way you wrote & post your comment above. Go to any section with relevance to your post and create a new topic. I guess that shld help. Less I forget, your commet to OP is very funny
Thanks man. |
Op your topic is too extravagant or should I say definitely overrated for the actual story. You ended up disappointing almost everybody, that's really bad of you. I think you started well but you wanted to defend your action (refusing to have sex) too eagerly. Hence you end up calling her nymphomania (she had sex once with bf). Op, it is a good thing you refused (that's if it true o, cos I smell foul) to have sex with a girl you just met online (I'd never done that even though I'd sex countless times with different girls). I pray you stay virgin for now (sex is a course and as well a blessing). Having said all that, I would advice that you do not post just about anything here. I understand you want to share your feelings and as well lend some advice to people but you should know better that it is best you keep your virginity to yourself and your Creator. People will always discourage you when it comes to issues of virginity. #teamhonesty By the way, how do I post topics in this forum. Am almost five months old here and I don't know how to write my stories and post. Please dearie (helper), can you help me. |
Why so much suffering!!!

emorse: are you for real? Mikel made a mistake? Someone who's won almost everything there is to win in world football, Nigeria's best player right now who could be named Africa's best player in a few weeks made a mistake? I don't think so. I'm sure you don't either.Yes! Mikel made a mistake. I still weep whenever I think about it. Mikel was a football prodigy when I first saw him at Finland 2003 in an under 17 tournament. Mikel was a star in that tournament even though Nigeria left in group stages, an attacking midfielder with an eye for killer pass and goal. A midfielder with a high speed dribbling accuracy, sound technical attributes and good stamina. Back in Holland 2005, once again Mikel held his own. Honestly, I never seen a young talented midfielder as Mikel with those qualities at that age, no wonder Manchester united fc and Chelsea fc fought each other for his signature. A player that rival Messi (the best player ever to play the game) in every way. Had Nigeria won, Mikel would had been the MVP of the Holland 2005. Had Mikel gone to a club where he can play in his preferred position as an attacking midfielder, we could been seen another world best from Africa. Mediocrity is disease that paralyses success, always thrive for the best out of life. Mikel is an average footballer because he made a wrong decision. Trophies or no trophies Mikel never lived to expectation hence he is an underachiever. |

Charlesamino: 1. Raise up your hand: you can raise up your hand, leg or eye hence it is correct it for spoken or written English. 2. And yet: laying emphasis on the what you're about to say. Just like saying - and again, and so hence it is correct. We make mistakes every now and then, and having said that, we should always thrive to get better everyday. Nice section - Education NL. |
Op nice post. However, I feel you do not specify (as in written or spoken English) your post. If you say that your post is the formal (written English) then you're very much on point, but if you say the latter then you're wrong. Spoken English uses emphasis (your so called tautology) to express words hence making it easy to understand. English is a vast language that keeps changing. No one is a perfect author of the language. |
Sure!!! You said date a Nairalander? And my answer is a definite and resounding Yes! I have one in my mind currently and am gonna ask her out soon. I like her, and most importantly is that she shares my interests as well. For those against it. My advice to you: stop limiting you base of finding through happiness, it can happen anywhere, anytime. Just stay on the right track. |

Reptyle: The longer this strike lasts, the less likely it is for ASUU to agree to anything less than the FULL IMPLEMENTATION of the 2009 agreement. It would make absolutely no sense for them to have held on for 4 months with all of the disruptive effects to our educational system, only to accept some watery and half-hearted commitment from the FG to a phased-out implementation of the agreement over the next few years. afroxyz: What is worst than churning out half-baked students? If the govt invested in education, ASUU wld not go on strike in the first place and the best brains would be retained in the educational sector, not the present crop of charlatans parading themselves as lecturers. Yes I understand the students feel the pain, but I think its selfish for them to shout for the strike to end just because they want to graduate only for ASUU to embark on another strike in the future. It also shows the decadence in the society. Why not use this period to learn a skill that would not make you a job-seeker when you graduate? If it was tompolo that threatened to blow up an oil well, govt would have met his demand immediately. I support the strike. The only language govt understands is force. For things to get better, a sacrifice must be made.w afroxyz: What is worst than churning out half-baked students? @ op, na wa oo!!! Anyway nice post. I'd actually taste both sides of the cake, perhaps speaking from experience. Fortunately, being a nice guy is the best I can ever be, though it come with prise at times. However, like we all know that excess of anything is harmful hence moderation is the keyword. But being a nice guy (for me) is actually irreplaceable. |
naanxie: sorry for quoting you. Please are u a nigerian that's stays in nigeria? Its' fine by me (quoting). Thanks for the compliment. Really appreciate it. Am a Nigerian by all standard. However, that does not affect mine mentality contrary to the social norms were so many young people believe that money makes relationship. It helps the relationship but does not make it any better. I'd so many experiences to share but that's for another day and topic. However, let me share with you (guys and gals) what my ex girl friend told me. She said "though we are several miles apart, i still feel that someday I'll run into arms and hug you like we 'd always done. I miss your hug" and finally she added that "if I have the opportunity to comeback to your life I'll grab it". (No pride I tended). This is just an example of having a wonderful relationship (i know some of you had experienced it), you always wish you want it over and over, and over again. I say to you "Money can NEVER buy that". |

I do most of these points listed here unconsciously. I say, YES! Hug her always it bonds you two together faster (that's if you want the relationship to last oo ). Take a leaf today and borrows some points from the op, and watch how you relationship will change for the better.I've always wanted to be considered special by the opposite gender due to the fact that most girls think that, what every guy wants is to get under their pant (of course, that one follow ) hence I've to prove the girl wrong first by applying the GOLDEN RULE: which says "seek love first, and every other thing will come your way without asking".Stop!!! I know you(guys) believe that almost every girl is interest in your money. While the answer is a yes and no. Yes! Because she needs financial security (at least a guy who can provide when the going gets tough), and No! Because she understands that she cannot completely depend on you and will rather support you when you're down as well (for some ooo8). At op. nice post. Just to add few more points form experience; 1. Walk her home every time you had a date with her. 2. In the midst of her friends whisper into her ears (she'll love it). 3. Once in a while cook a nice meal. 4. Once in a while run a hot bath for her and possibly join her to have it. 5. Give her a full body messaging (do not try anything funny just the message). 6. Ensure mutual satisfaction anytime you guys are having the...... (guys see me later). |
The above post where curlled from this site www.igbofocus.co.uk/.../rivers_-_previo... Posted two years ago. This thread is a pure propaganda against Governor Amaechi's administration and should be discarded with immediate alacrity. Where it is not factious it is obviously fictious, such is the case here. Am totally disappointed that someone would start such a thread like this, considering other important issues confronting the entire country. Why single out Governor Amaechi for critism considering that his is one of the best performing Governors in the country. I don't see any sense in it. It is just a political move destablize and diatract the Man (Amaechi). Yes, it is true that even Governor Amaechi is corrupt just like others but give the man some credit, his is working and looting, maybe 60% to 40% working to looting ratio. And I think that's fair enough considering the state of the country where looting is the order of the day. I cannot support evil and at the same time I cannot condemn someone who is trying to make a difference with a change. We're very tribalistic. Everybody wants to support their own even when the know the truth. It is so pathetic. For me, I stand for justice, equity and unity. Thank you. |
For a state that is in dire need of critical infrastructure needed to drive its development, Amaechi, in the last three years, has invested a minimum of N100 billion yearly on roads/bridges/infrastructure. And according to the governor, this trend would be sustained "because an efficient road system is needed to drive our administration's economic agenda." For instance, the Rumuola-Rumuokota and Slaughter to Rumuobikani, has been completed with streetlights, drainage and walkways. As part of effort to ease traffic on the busy Aba-Port Harcourt expressway, there is an ongoing dualization of the Old Aba road starting from the First Bank junction through Rumumasi to Rumuobiakani. Similarly, Elekahia to Rumumasi road has been dualised. Already, contract has been awarded for the dualisation of Ada George road. Total reconstruction and upgrade of G.U Ake road that starts from Aba road parallel to the Air Force Base to Airport Road, has commenced. And with the return of the 86 oil wells ceded to Akwa-Ibom and an anticipated refund of all the proceeds from these wells that were illegally paid to Akwa-Ibom, the government is expected to vigorously pursue its statewide urban renewal programme and development of infrastructure, chief of which is the Greater Port Harcourt project. The Greater Port Harcourt is a new city that covers an area of approximately 1,900 square kilometres (190,000 hectares of land) with a projected population of two million. The Master Plan is for a period of 50 years, with periodic reviews, and would be implemented in phases. In addition, it is expected that the governor would expeditiously move to complete the Rainbow Town housing estate, which he started in collaboration with First Bank. The N50 billion housing project comprises 17 high-rise buildings, offices, and residential buildings in 705 building units spread across 24 hectares of land. Others area that the governor would be focusing on include provision of critical utilities such as electricity and water, strengthening government institutions and improving competencies and capacity in the public service for good governance and service delivery with support from international development partners and local institutions. An analysis of the capital expenditure in key sectors of the state's economy is quite revealing of what lies ahead. For the passage of the 2011 Budget by the state legislature, the government had budgeted for Works N60 billion; Education N67.92 billion; Power N12.500 billion; Sports N10.553 billion; Health N17 billion; Water N6.9 billion; Agriculture N3.065 billion; Housing N0.810 billion; Transport N10.2 billion; and Environment N2.9 billion. Last year, the government successfully started the construction work for our monorail project. So far, N11billion has been spent on this project while N24.934 billion was spent in the power sub-sector as at November last year, to enable the government effectively pursue its rural electrification project. www.igbofocus.co.uk/.../rivers_-_previo... |
Presently, the administration is building an unprecedented 700 state-of-the-art primary schools, 24 secondary schools and two universities, all at various stages of completion. The governor recently observed that his achievement in education in the past three years would contribute to the reduction of crime in the state, while quality healthcare delivery would reduce poverty. Amaechi would, within the next four years, be striving to complete the remaining 60 out of the 160 new health centres he started in all 23 local government areas of the state and other secondary and tertiary healthcare institutions. |
Joyfullyme:the alternative routes you suggested are one-way traffic roads leading to the BMH. Those of us who use the road can testify this. Am not supporting Amaechi or the whoever is behind this show of shame, but my argument is that all this is a slap on the democracy we so passionately advocated for. |
