Nigerian guy living in Sweden smartly married a Swedish lady, so as to be legally certified with resident permit, but the lady was not aware of this. He lied to the lady that he is from Kenya because of the bad reputation of Nigerians in that part of Sweden. After their wedding, the lady returned home one day and informed the guy that she met her friend, a Swedish lady also married to a Kenyan and will like them to have a dinner together. The Naija guy was disturbed and kept thinking how he will get out of this dark spot. He postponed and postponed the proposed dinner until he got tired of postponing. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday urged Nigerians to embrace business integrity in a bid to boost productivity and enhance the nation’s economic growth and development.

Osinbajo and other speakers, including the Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, spoke at the 4th Annual Christopher Kolade Lecture on Business Integrity in Lagos, where they highlighted the connection between business integrity and economic prosperity.

Osinbajo, who was represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, said, “It cannot be business as usual in our economy if we are truly serious about change and sustainable development.

“However, change is often difficult; while everyone wants change, few are willing to change themselves. Yet, the choices we make now will, no doubt, determine the kind of future we have as a nation. We can meaningfully build on tested, wholesome values, which will not only address many of today’s challenges, but provide future prosperity for generations yet unborn.”

He stressed the need for businesses operating in Nigeria to continue to persevere with integrity despite the economic headwinds currently confronting the nation.

“President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is determined to boost economic growth through sound and effective laws, regulations and policies based on transparency and integrity as a bedrock of our tenure,” Osinbajo said.

According to him, one key example of the type of systemic change for corporate organisations in the country to thrive is the provision of an enabling environment in which they can flourish.

He added, “Nigeria needs to be a truly global player, not just in the oil and gas sector, but across sectors such as agriculture, services, solid minerals and manufacturing. We must increase productivity and competitiveness, diversify our economy, enhance exports and actively encourage and participate in the consumption of made-in-Nigeria goods.

“To achieve this feat, we must all reject business as usual and embrace the advantages of ethical business going forward.”

In his opening remarks, Dr. Christopher Kolade, said, “Perhaps, the important part is what we stand against. Standing against what is evil is just as important as doing well itself.

“One of the things that corruption does is that it does not only foul the atmosphere for those who are doing the right thing, it also weakens those of us who want to do well. Corruption is something we must fight.”

According to Magu, business integrity has to do with compliance with ethics, rules, standards, terms of engagement, corporate governance, organisational behaviour and declared mission and vision.

The EFCC boss said, “If we want to fight high mortality of businesses in our land, we must raise the bar of business integrity. We must insist that rules are meant to be obeyed and must be obeyed.

“We all know that the average Nigerian’s penchant for imported goods and services is simply because of the integrity of quality, safety of use, and longevity of value of those products, among other considerations. Some of the surviving conglomerates around us today are still functioning because of the integrity of their products.”

Magu said government agencies that were put in place to enforce standards should wake up, adding, “We should no longer compromise integrity of operations if we want our local businesses to succeed.

“Corruption is nothing but a deliberate abuse of integrity. We are insisting that public office holders, private business persons and players in the economic and financial services sectors must be accountable.”

A Cameroonian man, Sharkan Lucas, on Wednesday made shocking revelations on how he took to having sex with dead bodies due to constant rejection from ladies because he works as mortuary attendant.

Lucas said, “I do it many many times. That is the training you have to do that, because once you have done that you will not be afraid of them again. If you want to bath the dead body, you will carry her legs up to wash her private part, that’s why we are taught to learn to sleep with the corpses. When I am inside the mortuary, I see some fresh girls and I satisfy myself.
“Being with dead bodies is normal for me because I am with them day and night. I feel like they are living whenever I am at work.
“Besides, I wanted to marry but the girl says I am a mortuary man. I can satisfy myself at the mortuary because girls don’t want to date me outside or live with me for fear that I may kill them. Living women rejected me because of my job, that is why I am still single.
“Since I was born, I have never slept with a living being. Working in a mortuary is a gift God gave me, it’s my talent. It’s very rare, not everybody can do it.

“I am okay, I have no mental issues,” he added.
Meanwhile, Lucas said he was sacked shortly after he divulged his affairs on camera.
He said, “When I got back to work three day after (yesterday), my colleague said my supervisor brought policemen to arrest me. They did not let me go near the mortuary again and I have worked with them for 2 years and 6 months and I have not been paid.
“I want them to pay my money so I can go back to my country,” Lucas said.
