Its so sad that this problem happens everyday and there is no governmet authority to report to, you are at the mercy of the banks.
I fell victim last week thursday 19/11/09, bankPHP branch located @ ijaiye area of lagos to be precise, i needed to pay for some goods and i used my intercontinental atm card on the machine, N40000 (N20000 x 2) was not paid to me but my account was debited. I went in to complain immediately and i was told d transactions will be reversed within 24hrs, today is the 7th day, i'm still expecting.
Is there no agency one can report to beside banks that can handle these kind of case swiftly? I'm not comfortable having a fear that i might loose my N40000 to a bank just like that. I'm really down at this moment.

One of the issues to be discussed should be 'Flooding of Consumers Inboxes With SPAM SMS By GSM Operators'. If not spam sms, what else can you call it, they will send you UNWANTED sms asking you to text to win some amount of money. This activity to me is a FRAUD because its not different from the ones commited on the internet, they indirectly milk you of your hard earned credit.
solutions:
1. They should give thier customer the privilege to discontinue recieving related sms.
2. They should stop it totally.

Its so sad that even the GSM companies are scamming their customers by milking them with thier useless promo, you can imagine glo and mtn asking thier customers to text to win some millions of naira, each text cost N100 and you have to keep texting 'cos they tell you the more you text, the better your chance of winning millions on naira, the truth is your probability of winning is 0.000002 , The government have failed us all. This is a question i'm yet to get a technical answer on. What i keep hearing is because it makes more sound/noise, therefore it consumes more fuel.
