Yoruba says, (Ta ba lo, ai de) when u don't go, u don't arrive..
and I wanted to quote ur mention then but network erase it, why did u want to go into 3-5 business for start. bro u won't have time to focus on their lapses,
pick just two, maybe an interwoven business. like fish farming and poultry on some plots of land. focus on then and when they are stand to generate profits that u can have rest on then is when u can then search for more business to venture the rest money into.. don't go to more than 2 business for start up pls, business is not always visible, they are like a new baby they need ur attention. Not for a start. I meant the plan is eventually to have 2-3 businesses. The immediate plan is to invest 6m early next year meeting certain predetermined conditions. Farming is out of it for now due to health and others but it is on the to do list. |

Trust I know much about farming already ( I grew up in a farm after all ). It is on the list. |

Funkybabee: . 2) you can go into fish farming business or poultry farming then just employ some farm attendants and casual workers on the farm since your wife and you can supervise it. I already tried this, was frustrated by a fraudulent farm owner. I intend going for farming later but not down. 3) you can go into cars business, with good marketing strategy trust me u will make good deal. Thanks for this. Will note it down. 4) or invest in real estate management too. Don't really have much interest here for now. |

Hi all. I need the help of you brilliant people. Recently I had challenges with my work ( which is health induced and made me lose some clients ) that opened up my mind to setting up more businesses off line.
I work online mostly doing advertising and outreaches for foreign companies and do a lot of blogging as well as buying and selling of sites unfortunately I have come to realise that although I do well in my chosen field, as a family man, I need to diversify hence this thread.
What business do you all think I can set up with 6 million naira that
1. Is not seasonal in nature
2. Can generate me between 200,000-400,000 monthly after the first 4-6 months
3. I prefer something that enables me employ people while I and my wife carry out the supervision roles.
Edit - thanks for all the suggestions so far. Note that I have zero interest in gambling and if you are going to suggest it, don't bother. I like money too much to gamble it (ironic fact ). |

ZACHIE: Hmm. So, we should become nerds for you merely because you have a little above 1m in your account? Bobo, chill. That 1m is weekend bubbly expense
But, if you are pretty sincere about knowing what to do with your 1m+, get off social media and walk around your community to see what needs exist. Supplying water may be all you need to do. Draining water may be the other way around.
Swallow your huge pride on your little money and learn from yourself. I dont he meant it the way you have put it. Context. For instance I came on this thread because I have also been thinking of what I can invest 6 million on that can yield me 300k a month from the 4th month of starting and when I saw this thread first thing that came to my mind is - unserious people will be plenty here. The truth is nairaland is full of kids. |

AmuDimpka: Just like anything in life, you have two options...to have patience or quit
But wait a minute ....where you thinking of making millions from blogging ...are you Linda ikeji ...are you as pretty as her or are you Seun I was making on average 2m per month before my health took a hit due to overworking. May was 4m, April around same, March around 2m, February around 2m, January 3m, December 2018 circa 1m, November 2018 3m. I can show prove if you want. Note I don't sell guides or mentorship, I have a family and business which takes my time. I may not be making as much as Linda ( and we are not in same fields ) but millions monthly is possible. The problem with you Nigerians is that you dobt work hard enough and expect money. I used to work on average 16 hours per day Monday to Friday then 8-10 hours Saturday. Circa 3 hours on Sunday ( since as an usher I most often don't get home before 5pm and leaves home before 7am ). |
Webmasters › Re: Should I Continue Blogging? by abescom: 6:58am On Nov 04, 2019 |
I earned $97 in my first one year. Now I make on average $2000 a month. Used to be almost 5 times more than this unfortunately due to health I can't any more.
Next March would be my 12th year. No regrets whatsoever.
What I did?
I stopped following the trends. I learnt to read alot. Forget all the so called gurus, they will frustrate you.
Go on webmaster forums, read a lot and learn to work smart and hard. |
