The issue is not in the magnitude of what was stolen but the motive and the attached consequence if there are escalation factors. When you steal N5 while carrying a gun shows that you are ready to kill if resisted. The point here is will our dear secondary school boy not shoot his victim if there is a resistance. |
If we say tithe is supposed to be paid out of farm produce, does it mean that it is only farmers that are commanded and instructed to pay tithe? |

Can this land go for 100k per plot |
It's so annoying attimes to see how insatiable we are.We complain about a weakling being a president then we turn around again to talk about been bullied. We must learn to draw a line between two contrasting personalities. During the time of OBJ we complained of autocracy now we have a president that prefers dialogue and we are still complaining. |
Experience and achievements can only be gotten if you have had the opportunities to serve in the past. It's a fact that buhari has past records and experiences because he had the opportunities of being at the helms of affairs before now.He was a former president through a military coup which truncated our thriving democracy then.I wonder why a man who once believed that democracy will not work now wants to rule Nigeria in the same capacity. His experience as a military head of state was that of a zombie and animal in human skin.We all know that the worst democracy is better than the best military rule.It was a regime where Nigerians were flogged and dehumanised. We do not want to witness that again. His experience as the head of the ptf was a sectionalised one where about 99.9999% of ptf projects were done in the north. We preach one Nigeria and not a Nigeria that is polarised. In this era of advocacy for youths and new hands,I believe that we truely need a change.I mean a change of ideas, mindset and a whole lot of other things. |
]@ sadyeek have you forgotten that nigerians don't know what is good? have you forgotten that over 60% of the population in nigeria are illiterates have you forgotten that nigerians are one of the most unexposed people living on the surface of the earth, almost all nigerians that support GEJ are christians because they say "ooh he is one of us so we will vote for him" even if he is coming into their home to rip them off they will still vote for him because they say he is a christian, Buhari is the only truthful candidate we have but Nigerians don't like him because of our sentiments, we will die out of ignorance, stupidity is a disease This is one of the most uninformed reply i have read in recent time.I will be most comfortable if you can help answer some questions. Mubarak has ruled egypt for about 30 years. Is it because they are illerates that the people allowed this. The same with libya, the same with tunisia, uganda and some other countries. In as much as I agree that there are a lot left to be done in Nigeria but I want you to know that this problems are not peculiar to Nigeria. We need a total renewing of our minds to move forward. We will surely move forward. |

We seem to like short cut in Nigeria. The situation in which this country finds itself started more than 50 years ago.Yet we expect a sudden turn around of events as if it's gonna come like a miracle. What we need is a chain of good leaders who can turn the fortune of this country around over time. The situation of this country is enough to confuse anybody. It's easier to destroy than to build. Lets be a bit patient and constructive. |
Brothers,We must be as wise as a serpent.I think Goodluck knows what he is doing. It is possible for him to make statements to act as a decoy. |
Years of torment due to low standard of living has eroded alot of people's sanity. We have suddenly forgotten the free fall in economy that Nigeria experienced during ibb's reign. We have forgotten the killings and the siphoning of public funds. How many will I have to list here.It shows how wicked and desperate some of our politicians can be. Babangida has no moral justification to even dream of ruling Nigeria again.I am not saying Goodluck is the best candidate but some people needed not to be considered based on their antecedents. |

Gents, No one should be above the law.I dont want to judge but to raise issues of concern so that we can all think about it.Can we be in sin and ask for grace to abound? the answer is nay.People whether by their allegiance to one faith or the other should not perpetrate, aid, cover up or indulge criminal activities.Christainity and all other faiths are a subset of the secular world.Infact by the trust reposed in these people due to their religious confession and status,we expect them to lead by examples and not to descend low to the extent of sexually abusing minors. Have we thought about the effect of their actions on their victims and the overall effect on the society.Minors experiencing these kind of things could turn out to hate the church and the society at large for these crimes they suffer with their violators going unpunished. Have we tried to put ourselves in their shoes or probably our kids. What is the difference between these clergies commiting these crimes and a normal man on the street who violates his neighbour's child. Religion does not protect evil.If these clergies are investigated and found guility,I think they should face the full wrath of the law OR else our resentment of the crimes we claim the moslem world perpetrates will not be justified. A SIN is a SIN and A CRIME is a CRIME irrespective or its unique nomenclature or WHO is involved. |
The problem we have is impatient.Winning in life most times is as a reult of consistent and constant hardwork.Westerhoof produced the super super eagles of 94 after 6 years of taking charge. We need good long term plan and not the medicrioty of ascribing winning to miracles. |
Need responses please |

This is a great judgement but not without one or two flaws.I agree that the lady should be compensated for the ordeal she went through in the hands of those uncultured naval officers but who bears the incidence of this judgement matters.I dont think this guys will learn any lesson if they do not bear the incidence of this punishement. If the compensation is paid from the tax payers money then I wonder what difference it makes,I think it will even encourage force men to beat up innocent citizens with the expectation that the government will pay. This can even become a new 419 source because an arranged beating can even be planned and staged to defraud the government. I think this naval officers should pay for this compensation with all they have worked for until they are liquidated they govt can step in to pay the rest.I also think they should serve some other punishements like imprisonment. The compensation is actually outrageous and it shows clearly how our currency is devalued. |
Pito, I quite appreciate your response. It is encouraging for newbie like me. Please I will like anybody in the house who has hands on experience on soap production to please take me through the ruduments of the business |
