I replied with online links where seeds of many varieties can be purchased, but the post magically deleted itself, so I can only suggest that you search the usual way online.

Best of luck my brother.

Na condition make crayfish bend. E get as e be.
I know sites online to buy the seed but it is very difficult to grow from seed especially buying from abroad thats why i was happy to find this your post seeing that you are the first person im coming across in Nigeria to have it readily available and i did not ask for free ooo, but na wa you sha, no wahala i go see am one day

Thanks for checking out this topic, Whirlwind. This technique works 90% of the time, but it is essential to water the newly removed rooted tree branches heavily at the time of transplant into pots, to ensure there are no air spaces around the new roots. Copious watering will also greatly improve the quality of the cloned plant, over subsequent weeks. It is NOT advisable to plant a cloned branch directly into the soil, as it may dry out. This is why an intermediate stage of nurturing the new clone in a pot, is best practice, for this method.

As an example that testifies to the efficacy of this tree reproduction method, I bought 4,000 ( four thousand) seeds of Miracle Fruit tree, from an online seed retailer in Florida. I planted those 4,000 seeds, and was shocked to see that only 12 (twelve) of those seeds germinated, and grew into trees. My online research on this tree, called "Agbayun" or "Agbayunkun" in the Yoruba language, confirmed that it is virtually impossible to grow it from seed, and it was that discovery that set me on the path to learn a better and more reliable method of propagating trees.

Miracle Fruit, when eaten a few minutes before a meal, can be used to "trick" the taste buds into perceiving even sour foods, such as lemon, to actually taste sweet, as though sugar had been added. These fruits are therefore a life-saver for anyone on doctor's orders to remove sugar from their diet. Ironically, the Miracle Fruit does not taste excessively sweet on its own. Nature is full of such wonders, as I discover time and time again.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synsepalum_dulcificum

To cut a long story short, I waited patiently for those handful of Miracle Fruit trees to reach maturity as fruiting trees, and then proceeded to make cloned copies using the technique outlined in my first post above. Most of those trees are now thriving and fruiting abundantly. To obtain faster root production inside the plastic bags used to contain soil on the parent tree, I ordered root hormone, sold under the trade name Clonex, which does work as advertised, when smeared on the peeled branch surface, triggering the production of roots much quicker, and in greater density, when compared with the clones produced without the benefit of the hormone.

Broooooo please i have been searching for this plant ever since i read about it, one seller from Thailand that almost sold the seed to me said its sold out at the moment that i need to wait some weeks for new seeds.

Please can you sell one of the plants or seeds to me i really am interested in growing the miracle berry plant ?

That's about 3.5 hectares of land required and irrigation will be the biggest cost.

I think borehole or a well would be useful here

I just got a 25 seed Vega f1 variety of pawpaw or papaya and this is the nursery below.

I am using this to test how good the fruit is and possibly get a 5 hectare or large farm near Lokoja or Abuja to run the real farm.

The journey just began today by preparing a nursery for the 25 seeds. I expect at least a 70% germination rate from this variety.

A hectare of papaya contains between 4000-6000 stands and yields average of 4000-6000 fruits weekly.

This variety is expected to yield between 60-100 fruits in the next 18 months.

I will be making use of moringa foliar fertilizer to be prepared locally at home. This will serve as fertilizer and pesticide/fungicide. Plants sprayed with this foliar yields more than 30% above average
Wow congrats so the journey from February has reached a point of harvest shocked thank you for sharing this golden information, as in if i no plant this f1 next year i go vex for my self.
is there a way one can control harvest so that one will not be in a hurry to sellof all at once? i was thinking of maybe spaced planting e.g plant 100 this week then plant another 100 next week so that when it comes to harvest it will be weekly instead of all at once??

Yes it is but will sell more if the size was large like the red royale.
This one is good for fruit production due to its sweetness.

If you are on a budget, go for the Malaysian 1 foot which is between 1000-2000 for a 350 seed pack.
Ok thanks for the info

Red royale f1 or Malaysia 1 foot or Sinta f1. There are other varieties but this is the few I can remember.

There is a brand popular in Mali and neighbouring countries called the papaya f1 horizon https://www.ics-agri.com/ouverturepdf.php?file=product-papaya-f1-horizon-very-productive-hybrid-1425402875.pdf
Price is about 145 euros for 1000 seed pack from the company.
Ok thanks, but from my calculation this vega f1 you planted makes commercial sense too

EMMAACHILE:

Lol, what variety is that? This Vega f1 is not for commercial production and I only selected it for its sweetness and home use. Those who want to go into fruit juice production will prefer it over other variety.

The Vega f1 is expected to yield average of 1kg fruits
hnmm abeg which one will you advise for commercial production then ?

Plan on selling for 50 each from your farm. You can get more than 10 fruit per tree. At least 30. So do your calculations again
ok sir

It's expected to produce 60 fruits per year per tree. One of my tree already have 30+ fruits now. Its close to my overflowing borehole water.
Nice one but you also have to factor in loss and spoilage as pawpaw is a perishable good its possible losses will be incured especially if there is no ready market. Like how much nowadays is required for a borehole in a farm?

Approaching the seventh month on 2nd September, this variety is semi dwarf and not really dwarf. I will like to go for at least 2000/4000 trees on a hectare/2 hectares of plot in Abuja. The problem is the availability of land for lease with water body close by.
Good stuff i am trying to estimate profitability here, i can see good ten fruits coming out of 1 tree (estimate o) so if i plant 2000 trees grow successfully that is 2000 * 10= 20,000 pawpaw fruits so if i am able to make ₦100 per fruit that is 2million₦ earnings, i am very interested.....

I learnt all.from this thread, positioning and.chasing Surge.

Let me try and type how I work daily mAybe I might help.out.

1. I live in surulere, and as early as 5:30-6:30am, I make sure I struggle and set my destination to Ajah, and latest 7am I must get a request to either Marina or Ikoyi orVI or Lekki if to.Lekki, I go off line and.wait till 7:30 till like 8am and monitor d Surge in lekki, I drive towards.dere and take a surge trip, sometimes am lucky I.will get very long trip.wit Surge.or If is short ones, I enter d surge zone back.

2. After.d.morning rush I will.work normal till likw 1pm or 2pm, and take a break... by 4pm or 5pm am back to VI and I.wait for surge too, den next is to set my last destination to Ikeja, and from VI.to Ikeja on surge diet is good, work small after, latest 10:30 or 11pm am back at home.

3.. All.is Luck and Glory.be.to.God for.allowing the Surge in my favour.

4.. weekends I.start work by 6am and.close by 9pm no.break,.only.break.is.eating.time.and.waiting for request.

Sunday after.church (my service.time is 6:30-8:30am), latest 11am.am on.d.road.till.9 or 10pm.

So help me.God

Good info thanks for the info, i see ur strategy works better in Lagos tho i drive in abuja and u target mostly surge then work normal, tho i have not been very strategic in my driving but the difference between 23k and 60k is very big especially as i did close number of trips to urs....
