Tsfari: Can you make it clearer please?
I have a birth certificate and have also done age declaration, do you mean I can get people who would do National Population commission enrollment for me in the street.
Note I was born after 1992. As at the last time i went for capturing at NIS HQ SAUKA, ABUJA, A Birth Certificate no matter how old will be accepted (But you can also get NPC Birth Attestation/Cert too). Also to get the NPC Birth Attestation/Cert visit National Population Commission Lingu Cres Wuse 904101 Abuja. You will present Age Declaration/ Affidavit to get it done also go with an ID card/slip... Total cost should not exceed 2,500 Naira, you can pay online or banks to the correct account, then submit the payment proof. It could take 24-48 hours or less to get your cert. First step visit NPC. |

Yampotatocarrot: Thanks for this. Please, what do they mean by "application letter and evidence of payment"?
I can't see any application letter... The evidence of payment, is it the email or the document with "paid" written on it?
(I also did DIY) After successfully paying online you will see the payment receipt print it, it is the evidence of payment. Application letter is the one that shows PAID as payment status Note: You can reprint your document by visiting the Passport section https://passport.immigration.gov.ng click on resume/edit your application, enter your Reference Number and Application number then access your page...

Hedgefunds: You captured on June 3rd. I captured at ikoyi a month ago and it yet to even get to production. Yes its faster here i guess, but after capturing if there are no issues nothing should hold it from moving forward maybe you could check the Ikoyi office and find out what the issue is, also where you given the small paper with enrollment numbers written on it? |

My Passport processing experience at NIS HQ Sauka, Abuja was better than i expected but not good enough though! So i paid for the passport online using my bank card in the month of April but to book appointment for vetting and capturing the earliest date i could find was Friday June 3rd, which i selected and then printed everything required. Upon getting to the Passport processing facility few minutes to the time written on my appointment slip i was approached by gentle officers who helped me to arrange the documents, but they now told me that they could help in fast tracking the whole process which i gently declined and told them not to bother as im not in a hurry, they now directed me to the open hall with different officers manning their workstations, i went straight to the counters and approached one of the officers who then asked me of all needed documents which i brought out, the officer then gave me two forms to fill which i did and submitted everything to her as she placed them in a file and confirmed my names again, She then told me to sit and wait, She later called my attention and informed that my file has been submitted she then told me to be attentive as they call names! So the waiting game began, those who sorted where called faster and attended to! After about 4 hours i was called for capturing and a note was given to me with numbers and six weeks written on it, some hours later i checked on the https://track.immigration.gov.ng and everything looks good, Now waiting for production. From my interaction with others, those who had issues where mostly from NIN wahala, just make sure your NIN detail tally with what you filled or else they go open bank for your head, i met someone who claimed to have spent over 500k because of NIN issues and time desperation.

adubam: Let me explain to you since you've failed to comprehend. There are people of 50 years that have birth certificates. So why would someone less than that shouldn't have? Except for obvious reasons. Mind you I only codedly pointed to the fact that it's only DIY applicants that they would frustrate with that requests. People still use declaration of age done today for passport application but might be frustrated with DIY. Also i just found out that it is mandatory to Have a Birth Attestation from NPC if born before 1992 when applying to other Embassies so its better to get the Birth Attestation from NPC to avoid stories, and with that even if the NIS Officers ask for it especially from DIYers you will not be stranded. |

Liadi2: I now understand bro. The problem we are having in Nigeria is created by us I mean the citizen we are the one making the officers mini god. Only few people paid online by themselves the rest was done for them by the officers. I got there around 5:30 they open gate at 7 o'clock. When it is eight they started making announcements and calling of names they said people that apply online should bring there slip. Which we all did after waiting for 4hours they didn't call my name I went inside to ask what happen the the officers on the desk transfer me to the servicom computer to ask them, they told me to go back and meet them. I went back to those officers they told me I should go and wait again they will call my name. I was confused going up and down layer they said I should bring another copy of the document that have submitted before I had to rush and do another photocopy. I will continue later guys Na wa o, sorry for the bad experience, they are just trying to frustrate Diyers, please also tag the Nigeria Immigration twitter handle Narrating your experience there, |

Omo, that Lithium-Titanate bhaad ghan! With moderate use, you may possibly fail to exhaust it in a lifetime. Best case scenario, bequeath it to your children.
Boy go be like, oi, that battery was used by my dad before he died and I'm still rocking it! LTO is good but too expensive, i have been following up on research about Sodium ion Batteries, Flow batteries, Graphene Capacitors/Batteries as well as Solid State Batteries and the future looks bright. |

FireTheSun: Cost of Labour is a function of Cost of Living and Earning Power, in any Economy, Nigeria is No Exception!
If Labour were to be Price Higher, then the Cost of the Final Product will be Higher. If Cost of Product is Higher, then the Income of the Buyer has to be Higher.
In an Economy were the Basic Wage is #30,000 per Month (and some are still paying as low as #10,000!), Cost of Labour can only be as Cheap, for it to be affordable.
Can anyone in Nigeria, pay the Equivalent of $3,000/2,500 Euros PER MONTH (#1.5Million), for a three bed Flat, as they pay in those economy where Cost of Labour is High? That is #18Million Per Annum, while we pay #1M Per Annum for the same type or even a better Flat, here in Nigeria.
If l may also add, Solar is not expensive, it only seems so here in Nigeria because we are too lazy to use our brain to manufacture anything and the Govt is populated by a bunch of mediocre who are only concerned with Looting the Treasury.
What does it take to produce Solar Panels in Nigeria? Dont we produce Batteries (Berec Batteries, Exide Batteries) in Nigeria, in the 70s/80's?
These are the two major expense in Solar Setup, if we set our priorities right and stop enriching China, every house can have a Solar Panel and Batteries for backup at night.
Please forgive my rant, e just dey vex me at times. No doubt our economy is not very productive, and its like our political rulers enjoy seeing the masses poor and poorer... and poverty has a vicious circle/cycle that has to be broken by productivity and serious determination, the more people earn the more they can afford services and goods offered in an economy but the bad belle people no want am like that! I was making inquiries about setting up solar panel plant in Nigeria and the cheapest option i got from a firm was 100k USD but not a complete manufacturing plant just to assemble the panels which was quite discouraging for me, as i wanted a plant that makes the raw panels from scratch... I see India also trying to step up in Solar Panel production, we need to do better... |
