Hello guys. So when I arrive in the UK, I plan to stay with my family for a week before sorting out my accommodation. Do you think it's necessary for them to write a formal accommodation letter that they will be accommodating me when I arrive? Or it can affect my application negatively? |

Arubajagz: BEST THING TO DO IN SUCH CASES IS TO PAY EXTRA TUITION DEPOSIT TO THE SCHOOL TO COVER THE DIFFERENCE. THAT WAY YOUR ACCOUNT BALANCE REMAINS UNTOUCHED FOR 28 DAYS AND YOU STILL MEET THE MINIMUM 9 MONTHS MAINTENANCE FUNDS PLUS BALANCE OF TUITION REQUIRED The person isn't talking about 28 days na. They said they dont have anymore money to add. To the poster, it will definitely affect your chances if the money you need isn't up to what you have. So I understand your plight but you gathered 16200 pounds, God will give you the grace to get the remaining. Just try and get it through every necessary means. |

Emerald27: This is wrong. The course fees should be stated in full. There's usually another question asking if you or your guardian has paid part of your fees (how much has been paid). He can mention the deduction there. |

I have a discount from my school, do I take away the discount from the fees to be paid? The discount was mentioned in my CAS and the course fees Is it the course fees or the one in which I take the discount away that is to be written on my profile? |

kode12: I just got a mail that my application has not been straight forward and cannot be treated within the target time line. What could be the reason for this please? I uploaded: Passport, TB Cert, BSc. Cert, Transcript, IELTS, Account Statement (GBP), Utility bills of my proposed accommodation etc. I've already paid the school fees in full have complete maintenance fee. @justwise @Zoey1 @LaaJiblik Did you apply for super priority? If so, have you had a refusal before? That's usually the reason. However, every case is different. So you just have to be patient and pray. |

I just got my tb certificate but something has been on my mind even though the person that distributed it to us at IOM said not to worry. In my school address, although they got the spelling of the school's name, postcode and country. However, the area the school is in is "Summer row" which was what I wrote but they ommited one "m" and wrote Sumer row. Do you think this is a huge deal and I should have insisted on them correcting it? |

Zoey1: Its important to upload because that's your Financial Evidence. Whenever you decide to print it must not be older than the past 31 days. Thank you. I just wanted to confirm. Because someone was saying you could print a day to your appointment and I started wondering if I wouldn't need to upload it. |

justwise: This is the first time i'm hearing this but its a welcome development as it will stop people from withdrawing their money after submitting application.
Obviously the restriction will be removed after you get the outcome of your visa application. But since this person didnt specify which Visa. How will they know what kind of restriction to place exactly? I mean, a person can have millions and be applying for a visit Visa which they dont need much money for. So what's the extent of the restriction? I feel it's better the person contacts their bank and clarify. Just to make sure. Since this is an unusual issue. |

Nedu20: Good evening all.
While filling out the form request to print my bank statement in the bank, there's a section for which purpose I wanted to print the statement for, then embassy and then a space to write which embassy. I filled UK embassy.
The account has been restricted, my question is, will the restriction be lifted once I get my visa?
Thank you.
CC: justwise That's weird o. Just printed mine and there's nothing like that. Also, I just filled embassy use. I didnt specify which. |

TimD: Greetings to all members here!
I have a quick question, please; I'd like to know what are the chances of getting a job with an organization that can sponsor a Tier 2 visa upon graduation for a person intending to study for a Master in Social Work in comparison to fields like Nursing, Engineering and IT that are highly in demand? Thanks in advance. Social work is on the shortage skills list. From what I have heard, a lot of people dont know this and less international students explore it but its low-key a hot cake too. And once you get a job that meets Tier 2 demands, your chances ain't that slim. |

conquistador01: hello guys, i got admission to teesside university for a two year masters and i would like to know if anyone here knows about the place (Teesside, Middlesbrough) or has lived there before. I have tried searching for info online and all i see is violence and unsavory reports about life there. I would be grateful to get information from anyone with ideas on the following 1. student job availability: types, best paying, and where to look for them 2. ICT oriented companies presence and job availability 3. security: places to avoid and safety tips 4. accommodation: rent and areas to get good accommodation I haven't heard anything bad about the security. However after I got admission to Teesside, the research I did shows job availability there is almost non existent and it takes time to get a job. So if you are in a hurry to get a job, it might not be the best option. But this is based on MY research. Other people might have other experiences. |
