reincarnation: Good morning, please a school I applied to is requesting I upload Evidence of Criminal Convictions. Is this going to be a sworn affidavit or police report? It is a police clearance certificate. It's issued at the Lagos police hq. Sorry, what school is this? And are you going for an education course? |

LagosismyHome: Well there is a merit to this logic and it makes sense.... however it's not stated like this if you read it word for word but it makes sense to me. However UK is tick box process.
Where did you see this?. Any official source It is on most universities' website. It is the money that you still need to pay that you've to prove you held in your account for 28 days. That's what your screenshot even proves. As long as tuition has been paid and it's stated on my CAS, It's no longer part of the funds I need to show I have. It doesn't matter when I paid the money. All that matters is I paid it and I no longer need it.

LagosismyHome: If the money in your bank statement for 28days was tuition plus maintenance then I agree that yes if you pay your fees next week you should be ready to apply Wrong. It doesn't matter. If they pay the tuition and their CAS states that they have paid full tuition. They are good to apply with a bank statement that shows maintenance fee only. |

LagosismyHome: The way I read it the day you had the both money can be your day 1 ..... if you dont have tuition and maintance either in your bank or partially paid day 1 never start ....
in your case you have both so yes your day 1 started Oct 30 is how I read it It emphasizes on the money in the account. You can have your maintenance fee only in the account for 28 days and pay your full tuition to the school after the 28 days. (With money from a separate account). As long as it is before CAS is issued and your CAS states that your fees have been paid in full. It doesnt matter when you paid it. The point of the 28 days rule is to ensure the money is truly available to you. So definitely when you've paid your fees, it shows the money was available to you and you already satisfied that requirement. And the only thing left to prove is that you've maintenance fee. Which you already counted the 28 days for. |

Abiscoco: I dont think this is right.
I might be wrong but based on this thread and other info, I really think you're wrong that it's the day you pay school fees that you can start counting your 28 days.
Let's say your fees is 10k + 10k maintainance (Its 9135, I decided to round it up). Which means you need 20k and you already have 15k in your account for counting 28 days. And you pay the 5k balance to your school after you start counting. As long as the 5k you pay isn't deducted from the 15k in your account. It's the day you paid the 15k to your account that you start counting from. Not the day you paid the school.
@justwise @zoey1 and others can shed more light on this though. |

LagosismyHome: How I understand it using figures let say maintenance is 10k and school fees is 10k... I need to show that in 28 days I have 20k either fully in my bank account or a part of it has been paid to the school
So if day 1 , I have 20k and day 18 it becomes 15k because I paid the school 5k that is fine. On day 28 I am good to go .....as long as during that 28 days 20k was either with me or the school .
If for example Nov 1st, I have 10k for my maintance only and my brother pays the school fees on Nov 16th... then my first day of 28 starts counting not Nov 1st when I had only maintance but starts counting Nov 16th when I can show 20k is either with me or a part has been paid to the school |

LagosismyHome: If you pay on Wednesday then Thursday Nov 21 becomes your day 1. ... earliest time to apply is 20th of December. Due to Christmas break if I were you I would pay for priority services , except if you want to wait for standard application I think the person plans on paying full tuition to the school. So if the person does that and the maintenance fee has been in the account for two weeks. By the beginning of December the person should be able to apply. Because the money would have reached 28 days. |

Any answers please? @just wise, zoey1...everyone Abiscoco: Good afternoon everyone. Based on cases of denials because of lack of strong ties to home country. Please how common is this? And what are the ways that someone can prevent this from happening? Apart from marriage or having children in Nigeria. Any advice and tips will be very much appreciated. |

LaaJiblik: You have a problem. A Good problem.
Money entering Is a Good problem. Money leaving the account (and the total falling below the threshold) is a Bad problem. So you're saying it doesn't matter right? New money entering won't prolong my 28 days? |

hosey: You are not required to write any balance. Really? From what I hear, we are supposed to convert our closing balance. Then write the balance in pounds out on the statement. Isn't that right? |

Good afternoon everyone. I counted my 28 days with the money required but a few days to the end, I received some payments in my account. So I'm confused as to what balance to write. If I use my current closing balance, would it been seen as not being up to 28 days? |

I would like to ask if its advisable to send proof of funds that hasn't spent up to 28 days to your school? Or I should wait till 28 days before I send it to them, so I can get issued CAS? Thank you. |

Hello guys. I would like to confirm something. It doesn't matter if I continue withdrawing money from my account during the 28 days right? (As long as I have more than the required amount in my account and never go below it. ) |

Good morning everyone. I would really appreciate any info I can get on my question below. Thank you. Abiscoco: Hello everyone. Please, I just got admission into Teesside University but I had a conversation with someone who is studying there and the person mentioned there is a scarcity of part-time jobs for international students in the area. Please does anyone know how true this is? Thank you. |
