Urgent!
Hello,
I'm submitting a standard visit visa application for my parents. I will be sponsoring them fully. My question now is regarding the visa application and where it states "how much do you personally intend to spend"? What do I put there? Do I put £1 or the entire cost of the trip even though I'm the one paying?
Please help and answer. Thank you. |

Your only solution is to follow what's stated in the mail. They put it there, "if you feel you've been granted the wrong leave, fill this form". I would advise filling the form as soon as possible with your explanation. It's either they tell you it's a mistake or tell you it's not a mistake. Nothing to lose but everything to gain. Also, apart from the stamp on your passport. What does the letter attached to it say? DhammiBB: Good day everyone,
I just got a mail response from UKVI, Pls what does this mean..? Does that mean I have to leave the UK after 6 months..? I applied for a dependent Visa and my hubby course ends in May 2022 tho he still has the right to stay till Oct 2022 as stated on his BRP card..
@justwise @kennykale @babababy… Any other person who has an idea pls.
Pls help out.

You don't need to make another paid mail. You keep following up via the reply sent from the initial email. Mikool101: Hi everyone. Please assuming I am sending a paid mail to ukvi today and I was told that decision have not been made and I decided to send another one on Friday, will I make another payment or I will send a mail directly to the reply from ukvi from the first paid mail. Thanks. |

saintchuks9: are they not strict with visa refusals and I want to know if it's TRUE what university of Sunderland said about visa refusal They might have their reasons but it's not the truth. Half of UK student visa applicants probably have one visa refusal or the other. Student Visa is point based. Get all the points, get your Visa. |

You can apply 3 months before your course start date. However, the ECO can only grant you entry one month before your course start date. Ayaoye: Please guys i need some clarification. What is the latest time you can apply for visa and be in the uk before your course starts. For instance if my course is for September and all documents and cash ready, can i apply for visa in June or July? |

This question should be directed to your school. Many schools are okay with just your degree certificate and are not concerned about transcripts. So it's not a huge deal. Midex88: Good Evening my People, I still need help on this.... |

@justwise and everyone.
I have someone who wants to submit bank statement, he has three names on it including his middle name. But on every other document even his passport he has just two names because he didn't include the middle name. Will this be a problem? If so, what can he do? Should he swear an affidavit? |

tunlex01: Send them email not to assess the Phd. She shouldn't have submitted the Phd in the first place. She should still be able to claim the Phd even without assessing it with Vetassess. If she's not comfortable with that, it's best she lose the 5 point from Phd and get it from the experience. That will help her NSW 491 nomination if it opens. Okay boss, thanks for the response. She was just trying to play safe from experience we read so far on here. |

Afternoon everyone, I have been a silent reader and thumbs up to everyone for providing guidance and assistance to people like us. I and my friend began this PR journey and while I will be assessing with AITSL that seems straightforward, she is a University lecturer assessing with VETASSESS. She just submitted her application for priority processing but was however rejected for fast track due to her having a Phd qualification which needs to be properly verified
Education Qualifications BSc (Tier 2) – 2008 MSC – 2010 Phd - 2016
Work experience University Tutor – 2010 -2013 University Lecturer -2013 till date
We are considering telling the assessor not to assess the Phd so as not to delay the outcome and probably save on years of experience because reading through the thread shows VETASSES not to be predictable with approved employment duration.
Is this step advisable, considering the state (NSW) she is targeting requires 5years employment and an assessment of both qualification and employmenta you are claiming points is required before applying?
Please advise @bellong @tunlex01 and everyone, she needs to reply soon. Thank you. |

A2O2: Yes. He is traveling this April but school resumes March. He intends requesting for an extension from the school as we have an important family function by March. He got the visa already. Was gotten last week. Right. Anyway, the candid advice is what everyone else has already given you. Better to forfeit the admission than to get yourself into trouble. Forget deportation, ban...etc. Forging a document is a crime. Also, you said 5000 pounds, so I'm assuming he has paid just deposit. Imagine paying the full fees and the school rejects accepting just HND or finds out; he loses so much more because they definitely wont refund him. Best thing to do now is for him to go and read the School's terms and conditions for payment refund and on what ground they give refunds. See if there's any legal grounds that will make the school refund his deposit. As for the agent that you paid 500k on top visa.......I don't know what you can do. |

A2O2: Goodmorning nairalanders. Thank you all for all the updates and encouragement. I am in a dilemma. My husband has HND and he wanted to go for masters in UK. He reached out to an agent and the agent told him that he can’t go for masters with HND. The agents told him not to worry and he collected 300k for the admission application. He also collected additional 200k for visa processing asides from the visa application fee. All documents used for visa application was gotten by my husband and they are genuine documents. My husband later got to know that he forged Bsc certificates for him. He used that and the HND to get admission for my husband. My husband got the visa and has paid tuition deposit.
My mind keeps telling me that he might get caught. I told him but he said there is nothing he can do now as he has already paid tuition deposit and there is no refund. He is to travel this April. He said the agent told him that they won’t verify the certificates and if they want to, he should present only his HND. I’m scared for my husband.
P.S: This is beginning to bring problems in my marriage. My husband said he didn’t know he used a fake certificate for him until when he was about going for biometrics when the agent mentioned it to him. My husband is an honest man who was deceived but now he can’t afford to forfeit £5,500. You said your husband is resuming in April? When in April? Because you can only apply for Visa 3 months before your programme starts. So are you sure he is finding out after Visa grant or you just want to know before he goes ahead for Visa application? |

pbayagbon: For those who have gotten their Visas Is it a must to write IELTs as in does the UK embassy only accept IELTS as proof of english because this University of brighton is telling me that its a compulsory requirement for UK embassy since my WAEC is over 3 years old.
I assume you're going for masters. Your proof of English is determined by your school. So if you're going to Brighton and it insists on IELTS, then automatically you will have to submit Ielts for your Visa application. If you dont want to do that, maybe explore other universities that wont have an issue with your WAEC and accept it as it is. |

[quote author=Chinlin post=85831395]For those that have had previous refusals (uk/other countries), did y’all upload your refusal letters on the day of submission along with your other documents? Even though you already stated it in the online application Must you submit the refusal letters
I doubt its necessary to upload refusal letter. All you're asked to do is state the refusal and give the details about it. You can put the reference number if you want. But that's all. They can access it themselves. I didnt even put my reference number. I just answered honestly and gave the reason I was denied before and I got my Visa. All the best. |

kode12: +44 20 3481 1736 That's the number for UKVI. I'd advice you don't waste funds calling though, there's some major delay in this whole thing right now. But if you're going to call, you can do the MTN International call bundle which gives you 20mins for ₦300. You can Google it for more information. Also, hold your credit card close. Because the real cost of the call isn't from your network provider. You will be asked to enter your card details at the beginning of the call. Like #4000 was deducted from my acct when I made the call. |

Royalejr: Please advice, for someone that’s resuming 27th January.. what type of visa application is best? Cos I’ve been reading that there’s been delays in all the visa application types recently. You've to state when you're planning on applying. Also, today is 7th, so standard is out. Your only options are priority and super priority. And which one to go for will depend on when you actually plan on doing the application. |

omopapa: Usually the difference btw one way and return is not that much so it will be wise to buy return.
If any issues arise at the POE (which I doubt for students especially) u are covered as u already have ur return ticket.
NB: Return tickets have validity of 11 months I guess and can be extended further after that for a fee which will work out cheaper than buying one way when/if going back to Nigeria after studies You are wrong. If issues arise at POE, it's a free ride back to your country which God forbid is anybody's portion here. |

BloodyMitch: Congrats Abiscoco please what did you fill when asked if you know where you are going to stay? I'm submitting on 3rd and I have booked a hotel and answered no to the question and provided details of my hotel and that I intend to rent a private apartment but will stay at the hotel to check out the apartments.
What do you think in the right answer to this I answered yes and wrote "rented apartment" and put the university's information as the address. I know a few people that filled the same thing and they got their Visas. The onus of it is to have a good answer regarding your accommodation plans incase you are asked during your interview. |
