It is clear from the story that the paster was employed by this couple to solve a spiritual problem for them and allowed him to stay for several days in their house. For them to allow him into their house to splve the husbands business problems means that he is either known to them or comes highly recommended.

A problem must have developed along the line, most likely when he was still in the house, he may have tried to seduce the woman while trying to do his work (or rape her)if he is not a genuine paster. This move may have backfired and the woman was not bough over, she may tell her husband who may have paid money befor this 'pastor' agreed to come for the prayer sessions.

When the couple finds the man out for the fraud he is, they may have tried to collect their money from him since that kind of dishonest man can never invoke Gods blessings to turn around the mans business. When this pastor refused to pay up, the couple now frames him after he leaves their house and report him to the police for stealing panties to shame him. The 10,000 may actually be the fee they paid him to solve the husbands business problems.
