Obviously you asked this to mark register. It's not needed at all. We all know what happens. It's not new here so don't judge him.

@Abuchi249 as it is, U av to try settle that bill while you apply to the other schools you feel can meet your need and then get a transfer later. Deferment is risky bro.
. God bless you brother. But please,Can you enlighten me more on how the transfer of a thing works and the neccesary steps to take. Cos I am studying Bioinformatics and want to know if I can transfer to say chemistry or something

If you defer you must leave USA and come back to Nigeria if you don't then you will be out of status and it won't be easy to reinstate you back
. Walspring, please can we speak on phone ?

Hello house, My situation is a bit conplicated. I am already in the U.S. I applied to a school and got a half tuition waiver and I came over thinking I would easily convert it to a full tuition waiver once I get here (On a bad advice from someone in a U.S school), now on getting here, I am told by the school that it is not possible and also I am told that I have to pay $7k as the remaining balance of my school fees for the semester which I do not have. Please and please guys, I want to defer my admission here for one semester or one year and apply to another school that would give me full funding and then transfer my records from this school to the other school. Right now, I have some schools and courses in my mind that can give me such but I do not know how to go about the whole process. Any advice I can get now would be invaluable, Please save a brother from a huge problem please. Thank you all. Please, I really need an advice guys

*Ileke-IdI:

But was Fashola not at the scene of the crime?

If he was and he knows that there is an unfair punishment given, shouldn't he act on it?

Prison term is too much for traffic blockade/ lack of provision of "papers". Makes no sense.

In the state of Florida, if a driver fails to produce his/her license, she'd get a ticket. Not some prison term as though the driver killed somebody.
I get your point but let me ask you must nigeria wait till florida changes there punishment to change ours. Florida already has laws so they can do what they want. In a lawless country like nigeria,if you only give tickets you would be seeing trucks blocking the roads steady. So we need harsher punishments. Thats the only thing that would yield result my bro. And we mustnt always copy america. We need to start doing what is right with our own common sense and the punishment for the man wouldnt have come up if he did not block the road. So he deserves it

PurestBoy: I don't this would be the same if the same truck belonged to Dangote.
yeah i get your point but let me ask you a question should we because dangote would go free allow these man too to get free?. For how long would we continue like that?. Even in america there are men who are bound to get a little bit more favourable laws than others. I think men like this driver should be dealt with so nigeria would get ordered. With time when nigeria has become ordered and also back in the hands of the people(you know right now nigeria is not owned by the people but by the leaders), then people like dangote et all would have their doses given to them

Akiika: Now i understand we have a bigger problem than the bad leaders sef. See how common Nigerians are reasoning!
Person block road and he no even get driver's license and y'all think he should be let go? For your info., if you don't have a common auto insurance here in Houston and you are pulled over by the police.....you get handcuffed and straight to jail before you even get charged to court. This is how the societies you are lining up to obtain their visa works. Even if it's strange to you, at least you all watch all kinds of American TV series and they act some of these things. Na wah o!....what's dictatorship in that? is he the judge that translated the law and set the bail condition? abeg make we dey think before we hit that keyboard or keypad.
guy God bless you. I have been thinking this since. The problem with nigeria is not our leaders it is our people(take 4 instance arjen robben missed p.k against chelsea so every1 is blaming him but d truth is he is the only bayern player bold enough or opportuned to take it. The other players too could have missed it just that they did not try). My point is our leaders are our people and believe me if there were not people who think like them in nigeria then they would not have been nigerians. Its the way nigerians think thats what you see manifesting in our leaders. If nigerians change their mentality it is going to reflect.

hotshot_peter: Why can't some people be objective in their reasoning?
Okay let us do it like this:
Was he wrong in obstructing traffic? Yes or No
Was it a crime? Yes or No
Was he prosecuted according to law? Yes or No
If your answer to all these questions is "Yes" then why in God's name are we blaming Fashola for doing the right thing? NAIJA!!!
when i first saw this post what angered me was that i thought fashola was doing it because he is governor but after reading it i now saw that know the man was committing a crime and fashola even arrested him through the right way by going to court and the likes(autocracy would have been if he told his bodyguards to beat the man mercillessly and lock him without court proceedings). Personally i believe in equality of all nigerians and believe soon we would get there, but truthfully anybody who sees anything wrong in this incident is either daft or so stupid he doesnt understand what a civilized state is. There is no lawlessness in this at all

Romance / Re: I LOVE YOU! When Is It Right To Say These Words! by Abuchi249(m): 9:00pm On May 22, 2012
Love does not exist fellas. Whenever you see two people saying they are in love they are comprised of two people of whom one(male or female) is getting what he/she wants and the other,a fool is being used thinking he/she is in love. Even if it does exist its a decision not some divine emotion and just like a friend can deceive another friend into making bad decisions so it would favour him so can someone be deceiving another into thinking they are in love because its favouring him or her. When two people are in a relationship and none of them is satisfied they break up. When two are in a relationship and 1 is getting what he/she wants while the other is not it is called love. When two are in a relationship and both are satisfied it is pure understanding, they are like business partners who are both smart and knows boundaries not to cross.its like a deal and it produces the most successful relationships(like rich and successful people) you see around. Dont turn into an A.T.M machine or paycheck for a girl and dont turn into a sex object for a guy. I love when two smart people are into a relationship cos no 1 deceives the other. its perfect and every1 knows what he/she is giving and what he or she is getting. Its the bitter truth
