Do you have any stats for this claim? As far as I'm aware, only Air Peace and United Nigeria run flights to Anambra airport - usually one flight per day and not even everyday - while other airlines like Dana and Ibom Air also run to Enugu and Owerri. The last time the very lousy FAAN published figures for air passenger traffic for 2023, Enugu, Owerri and Asaba airports all had greater air traffic than Anambra airport. Most times I buy tickets for my mom, she still prefers going through Asaba given it's much closer to Onitsha and also closer to our hometown. From all available data, Owerri has consistently been the busiest SE airport. The Anambra airport was marketed as a "cargo airport" to justify building it - which any serious person knew was nonsense cos air freight is very expensive and not a viable means of transporting most goods. What is the tonnage of cargo that is going through the airport? They also lied it would be funded through a PPP initiative and ended up wholly funded by the state coffers. The only reason we built it was for chestbeating purpose ("anyiwa nwekwa airport nke anyi").

But at least, building an airport is not THAT expensive (even Ebonyi managed to build one that nobody uses) and any state in Nigeria can afford it. Saddling yourself with debt to build a metro rail line is pretty mad stuff.

I completely agree that railway is Capital intensive so soludo should channel our resources for better use to avoid repeat of substandard projects like ekwuluobia flyover which can't allow passage of two vehicles.

The Problem with people like you is that you start off badly by assuming that there is something called the South. Such does not exist. Tinubu and his boys only cobble that lexicon whenever it is convenient for their wayward political pursuits. There is nothing like southern Nigeria post independence. At most what we have are the North, the West and the East. If there are more devaluation, then we have the Midwest and the middle belt. These are the groups that you can talk of as rigid political zones whether officially recognised or not. If two of these groups align to fight for a cause, the center will definitely feel the pressure.

The south west has made it clear many times that they are with the North. Infact in recent times, they have shown more allegiance to the far North than to any of their neighbours immediate. This is not a coincidence. Akintola was doing the same thing even on the night he was packed off to hell. Politically, the Southwest has decided to align with the North. We should respect this. In matters like this, you should see Tinubus actions based on this reality. He is a willing stooge of the north. The rest of the south should therefor align and confront these mass mauderers as a unit without waiting for the southwest.

The aftermath of the recent killing that happened in Uromi although I totally condemn it, has shown that NIGERIA is designed to favour the North.
There has been reported killings by fulanis in Ondo, Ebonyi etc recently, no northern politician came out to condemn it, even the president Tinubu who is from the South never spoke about it.
Then one happened in Uromi and Tinubu suddenly find his voice.
Where was Tinubu When 2 kings were murdered by fulanis herdsmen in Ekiti?
Northerns are attacking Peter Obi because he said the root of the problem should be addressed.
I think it's time to divide this country
We can't continue pretending and worshiping the North because we want their votes.
If the entire South is United, the North won't be bullying us because of votes.
