Eko Atlantic must be completed! by fire or force! I wonder if enriching one Lebanese guy is the best Ndiyoruba can do with 4 year first tenure..........not one single constitutional amendment or revolutionary policy has been carried out by Tinubu..........even feckless Jonathan was able to conduct a national conference!
Richtaiwo: The above statement aptly describes economic migrants from unproductive land.
Absolute nonsensical rebuttal by the Lagos government! Lagos should use part of its famed 295 billion dollars GDP to build a global class sewage treatment plant.........So far Lagos state is part of Nigeria.....any Nigerian from outside Lagos or every anambra indigene has the right to relocate to Lagos or elsewhere! If you are tired of the Lugardian Union ..tell us, make we call it a day! Lagos smells and stinks ...do something about it!
naptu2: In the first map below, the narrow gauge lines are in purple and the standard gauge lines are in red.

ogododo: Global pharmaceutical giant Pfizer has shut down its commercial operations in Nigeria, rendering its commercial employees redundant, according to internal company correspondence obtained by West Africa Weekly.
Documents obtained indicate that affected employees received formal redundancy notifications, signalling a major restructuring of Pfizer’s business model in the country. The documents suggest that the company is moving forward with layoffs but has yet to finalise employee severance packages.
An email dated January 13, signed by Olubukola Oparinde, Manager People Experience, SSA Biopharma, acknowledged employee concerns during discussions about the shutdown and stated that further feedback from leadership would be provided. Employees were issued redundancy notification letters, which they were required to acknowledge, confirming that they had been informed of their job losses.
Further correspondence on January 15 instructed affected staff to sign off on the notifications, emphasising that these were not final redundancy agreements. The company also indicated that severance details were subject to additional approvals.
A follow-up email on February 12 addressed to an employee included severance computation details, suggesting that discussions around employee compensation were ongoing.
Following the shutdown, affected employees are entitled to severance packages, including redundancy benefits, final salary payments, and other entitlements based on their contracts and Nigerian labour laws. However, concerns have been raised over whether Pfizer will fulfil these obligations in full.
This development comes amid ongoing economic challenges in Nigeria, with several multinational companies either downsizing or exiting the market entirely and many losing their jobs.
agbado have finally scared off the few multinationals left in Nigeria........however I do not care for these western Multinationals anyways........most of them depend on patents from Chinese and Indian companies anyway! Let us ally with the Chinese companies 100%! The days of whiteman dominance in every field is over!
Benbroz: Some are crying that no food and Nigeria is hard while some are laughing and enjoying saying food is too much.
What did you eat today.
Suicide by carbo.........! no wonder diabetes is at epidemic proportions! Our forefathers did not eat these portions and they worked out every calorie they consumed with strenuous farmwork!
PressMyButton: Bad news for Bitter People, I expect them to write a petition to Trump asking him to include Nigeria, so that they can have something to console their bitterness. There was a rumor of US reps giving Trump the go ahead to sanction Nigeria for the killings of Christians but what was not mentioned is the fact that the report only captured events that happened before 2023. 2023 up till March, 2025, Christians have been safer in Nigeria because there is a President who is a religious liberal and which is why Trump will throw the useless report into his toilet in the white house.
Trump himself dey look face and that's why Nigeria is untouchable, he knows Jagaban cannot be messed with like he's doing to Zelensky. 99% of Yellow Group are African, Trump is a racist. But I knew Haiti will not escape it, he accused them of eating cats during the campaign and now he's going to restrict them coming into the US.
Stop talking like a bloody f**l for pete's sake,,,,,,,,,go and quickly fix the fulani herdsmen killings that has caused so much deaths and diplomatic problems for Nigeria,,,,,,,,,Tinubu had better sit up cos nobody is smiling now!
As much as I try to dislike Wike, I find I cannot hate him. Wike is the kind of person you would prefer to have on your side, with all his cantankerous behaviour, than in the opposition fighting against you! The man is the embodiment of a human Tasmanian Tiger........An extinct Australian fierce predator........possessing........" the fangs and speed of a leopard, the ugliness of a gutter rat, the toughness of a honey Badger and the sheer cold blooded nature of a Hyena"! That is WIKE !
Why waste federal government scarce resources on people that contribute little or nothing to the Federation account except give Nigeria bad imagine due to their unbridled quest for narco amd fake drug money.
kukuma excise them from the glorious naija federation.....seeing that they are such parasites! You will never let the igbos live you in your wastelands na! cos you know what they bring to the table!
naptu2: Issues raised by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN).
Sunday Jackson
Sunday Jackson is a farmer from Adamawa State. He was working on his farm one day when he was allegedly attacked by some knife wielding people. He managed to overpower one of them and killed him. He was arrested and charged with murder.
In 2021 the high court found him guilty and sentenced him to death by hanging. He appealed the judgement.
His appeal went through the Appeal and Supreme Courts and on Friday, March 7th, 2025 the Supreme Court upheld the death sentence.
Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria
The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria was established in 1977. It is made up of all Catholic bishops in Nigeria. They usually meet twice a year and then they publish the results of their discussion in a communique.
Some of the issues that they discuss require the intervention of government and since the late 1980s I have watched them go to Dodan Barracks and later the Aso Rock Villa to present the results of their discussions to the President/Head of State.
Death Sentence
The CBCN have appealed to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Ahmadu Finitiri to intervene and ensure that Sunday Jackson is not executed. They expressed surprise that he was sentenced to death, especially since the Adamawa State law has provisions for self defence.
Closure of schools during Ramadan
They also expressed concern about the closure of schools in Northern Nigeria during the Ramadan period. They stressed the importance of education and also talked about what they have done to promote education in Nigeria.
Return of missionary schools
The CBCN called for the return of all missionary schools that were seized by the Federal Government in the 1970s.
(President Tinubu said that the schools are now owned and under the jurisdiction of state governments, so he can't do anything about it. He reminded the CBCN that he returned missionary schools in Lagos when he was governor).
Religious pilgrimages
The CBCN said that government should not be involved in religious pilgrimages. They said that it is a waste of public money. They noted that several officials of the pilgrims boards have been removed for stealing money that was meant for pilgrimages.
Security
The CBCN noted that there was an improvement in the security situation and they sympathised with security agents that have been killed and injured while trying to bring peace. However they noted that more still needs to be done and that the problems are not over.
Economy
They also noted that there is an improvement in the economy. They welcomed the tax reform bill, but they also noted the suffering of people after the removal of petroleum subsidy.
Congratulations
They congratulated the President on his election victory and said that they weren't able to see him after their meetings in 2024, so this was the first time that they were seeing him after the elections.
........and they all went home with a heavy largesse of TP ! These our Christian leaders are just jokers............why have they not embarked upon civil disobedience and prayer rallies to protest the deaths of 1000s of nigerians, they should go and sit down abeg!
so all the noise we dey make about oil ....its only 36 billion dollars we earned from it.............ordinary walmart supermarket chain makes that in revenue in 1 month..........the fixation of agbado and Aboki on niger delta oil and southeast gas deposits will never allow Nigeria to achieve her true potential!
The southern Kaduna that some people want to be using as reference points, just like Benue, the attacks have been reprisal attack. We only read about when Fulani attacks, but we hardly read when the Fulani are at the receiving end
Who is the intrusive party ? You carry your cattle from Guinea and gbam you drive your cows into someone's farm and devastate a year's toil and work! Did the farmers carry their farms to block the herders cows........I always knew this weasel called Jagaban does not have what it takes to defang the fulanis........that fight is not in agbado people!
Now he is exposing Ukraine with Intel that Russia probably does not have.
The blood position Russia never had till the Russian Asset took over the Oval Office.
too many kids on this forum walahi.........you actually believe that Russians do not know when they have Ukrainian forces surrounded? The same forces that they have been in full frontal battle with over a 1000km contact line or warfront.....The same russian army that has a constellation of spy satellites in space and AWAC planes and drones flying over ukraine 247...........oga go back to Romance or celebrity section!
TenQ: You seem to be out of touch with the news. The deal will be signed on FRIDAY!
Ukraine actually need a Guarantee because Russia is prone to breaking agreements like the Budapest agreement, the Minsk 1 and 2 agreement.
YOU ARE A LIAR FROM THE PIT OF HELL!!! go and read the interview of the Former Chancellor of Germany Merkle....all those agreements was just to ensure that Ukraines gets a breather to rearm! Stop lying
Both countries: “We will fight to the very last man!”
A decade or less into the campaign.
The losing side: “Somebody cannot play with you people again? How about a ceasefire? Okay, peace talks at least.”
Make them see things through. They made a lot of noise in the beginning. The many dead should get honoured with one side losing or a stalemate in the battlefield. Peace talks are for the weak.
laff no gree me ! Ukraine will drink belleful from the tumbler of defeat!
EmeeNaka: Terrorism is widespread. People must recognize it and fight it. Defending terrorism in the name of politics will not be right for any society.
this bobo saves his vitriol for only IPOB......! ndi uchu!
Tinubu should be made the minister of Owambe affairs and leave economics to those who understand what they are doing! How can you allocate 12 billion dollars to a hare-brained ecological disaster like the so-called coastal road at a time when Nigeria lacks the electric power to push production?
