That's not love but shared responsibility.

Just shared mutual responsibility.

While Tinubu, Fashola and Ambode are trying to eradicate Danfo and Molue on the roads and streets of Lagos, a happy and proud Lagosian is rocking it in the USA.

What these governors had forgotten is that the yellow and black stripe colour is the symbol of Lagos. They met it, grow with it and changed it. They are trying to change our identity.

Why can't BRT Buses painted in our unique colour? Rather they were copying other people's or countries things. We now have red, white, black and all sorts of colours. BRTs are now blue, red and white. Why do we have to be copying?

For me as a Lagosian, I will Rock The colour any day, any time, anywhere

Different strokes for different folks.

In Nigeria, we are advocating for more prisons because of congestion whereas in Netherlands they are closing down.

What lessons can we learn from them?

Politics / Re: Open Letter To Governor Ayodele Fayose by abwilly: 12:59am On Jun 04, 2016
Fayose is man that plays to the gallery. Sometimes he acts in the short time without thinking of the long term. He talks only with his mouth and not from his heart.

He has forgotten that he is a leader and he's becoming an elder. An elder does not quick to react but wait and talk with wisdom which comes from knowledge from various sources and experiences.

It appears that he does not update himself and does not listen to words of wisdom neither does he stands for his people.

During his ranting about the killing of the farmers by the fulanis, he said that the death of one is a death to all. Is an insult or threat to his race not not so important to him?

A word is enough for the wise.

We need to look into the full report to know the criteria used for assessment.

Moving Mile 12 market is for the good of the State and citizens. What is his problem saying nonsense trying to start creating some ideas in the mind of Hausas as if they are being maltreated.

Food / Re: Warning - MOIN MOIN, The New Silent Killer Of Nigerians by abwilly: 4:06pm On May 28, 2016
I considered this as a personal opinion and not a fact.

If cooking in plastics is a cause of cancer, then what about other foods stored or served in coolers and other plastics?

As of today, not only one thing had been pinpointed as the cause(s) of cancer but numerous cancer agents. So the leachate from plastics is just a source and if this leachate is that bad then, everyone will die of cancer. This point of view is based on the fact that almost all our lives has been dependent on plastics since the '50s as a result of quest for hygiene, convenience, cheapness and to reduce pressure on natural resources. This was among the reason why the use of plastics became popular. You can imagine everyone in Nigeria using leaves for moimoi, where do you expect that quantity to come from?

Based on the above submission, then a very high percentage of human population are to be dying of cancer because we all use plastics including nylons (for drinking and eating hot things) but the relative death from cancer compared to the total death being recorded is very little.

Therefore, the topic is very alarming, scary and misleading. Am not saying that the plastic leachate is not a cancer causing agent but the way that it is being portrayed is quite frightening but unfounded. Someone who has not come in contact with plastics may still die of cancer and someone who is using plastics all his life from feeding bottle to plastic moimoi may not die of same.

Please let us enjoy our moimoi without fear.

After all I will come back to my internet.

A seafarer can even stay up to two months or more without phone, e-mail, internet or any other means of communication apart from VHS radio to base.

So for $1m dollar (N320m in one month), its worth it.

Politics / Re: End Of Fuel Scarcity As Fuel Hits 115 Naira At Forte Oil Plc by abwilly: 10:27am On May 18, 2016
I hope this is not a gimmick to support government in making it seems that the price of petrol will come down soon.

Come to think of it, when the crude was being sold for $120-160, the price of diesel was around N150 to N190 and now that the crude is being sold at less than $40, the diesel is still not below N130. Why has it not gone down to N30 or N60?

These businessmen are the major importer of the diesel, so I just think that this is not a game to make us believe that the price will go down and when we are relaxed, they will increase it to their advantage.

Career / Who Should I Obey: My Employer Or The NLC by abwilly: 9:43am On May 18, 2016
I just want to be well informed, the NLC call for strike and the government said we should not obey the call for strike. Who should I, an ordinary worker obey?

The NLC is threatening workers going to work and the government also rolled out the condition of service against going on strike.

Your opinion will be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Politics / Re: Nigerian Army Captures Niger Delta Avengers’ Leader by abwilly: 9:06pm On May 15, 2016
Thank God for the Nigerian Army/military. It is better to deal with these disgruntled elements before they go out of hand.

Sometimes, I wonder whether they ever think of who will be the one to surfer most (Niger Deltans or Non Niger Deltans). The destructions destroy your land and no money for the government means no or little money will get to the area.

Destruction is not the answer but making your leaders accountable for whatever is earmarked for the area. There is good and big money for the area but these monies are stolen.

Destruction of facilities, intimidations, kidnapping, extortion, etc is chasing investors from the area. Your leaders too are refusing to invest in the area because of fears of the unknown. The monies are taken to areas that are safe to invest such as Lagos, Abuja and even Ibadan.

Please come together as a people and make plans to build the area, make your leaders accountable and allow others to join in the development without fear or favour.

Niger Delta is one of the best place in the world if the people of the area (leaders and ordinary citizens) makes the place safe.

Thank you.

Politics / Re: Fuel Price Hike: Presidency Rolls Out Palliatives by abwilly: 7:58pm On May 15, 2016
From the look of things, there is no more value in the N5000, N30000 and N50000 that are being proposed to give to people.

As at last year, this may mean something but today, the N5000 is not enough to transport me for up to a week from Yaba to Lagos Island, N30000 loans can not start me a profitable pure water retail business and N50000 can no longer sustain a family of four.
Nairaland / General / Re: Lagoons, Rivers, Creeks And Other Waterways In Lagos. by abwilly: 8:54am On May 15, 2016
This is a very good write-up that provides information about the various water bodies in Lagos. The physical descriptions, the maps and the photographs were also very nice.

However, most of the information provided were very misleading and not correct. Firstly, there are three types of water bodies (freshwater, brackish and marine/sea water) therefore, not all water bodies in Lagos are freshwater. Many of them are brackish water (contains some amount of salt) and some may be freshwater for few months depending on the season or amount of rain in a particular year. The only all-year round freshwater bodies are Lekki, Ologe, and Yewa Lagoons while the remaining are brackish.

You can easily tell of the difference in waters by the types of fish they catch from them. While fishes from the main Lagos Lagoon (Commodore Channel,Elegbeta Channel, Kuramo water) and better part of Bagagry creek are fishes from the sea, those from the freshwater lagoons are fishes from the rivers.
Religion / Re: Most Nigerian Pastors Are Fake, Not Called By God – Oritsejafor by abwilly: 12:26pm On Apr 10, 2016
Am quite surprised at this pastor.

Is it now that Pastors are not preaching morals but prosperity?

What personal example(s) has he to give us about prudence, morals and the kingdom of God?

He has not fully explained to us how he got his private jet. I still want him to please explain with the fear of God and the truth that God is expected of us all, how he got all the wealth he is enjoying today.

He is one of the epitome and mentor to most of these pastors he's speaking again now.

Please lead by examples and the changes you are wishing for will happen.

Lastly, are you (Oritsajefor) really called by God or you became a pastor because it is a profession that can give you money through manipulation of human mind?

Your honest answer to above comments and questions will help other pastor in leading us aright.

Politics / Re: FRSC To Sue Late Ocholi’s Driver For Overspeeding by abwilly: 4:20pm On Mar 10, 2016
FRSC cannot just stop to amaze me.

What is the function of FRSC when the roads are not safe?

I only know FRSC to be counting the number of accidents and dead bodies and also to arrest just for minor violations to make money.

What have they done about state of our roads that is destroying our vehicles day-in-day out. Based on circumstantial evidences, it is expected that the car of a Honourable Minister in Nigeria will be in top performance and maintenance. Therefore, the condition of the roads that the car is plying daily may have been responsible.

I lost brand new tyre (just one week old) purchased from a reputable outlet in Adeola Odeku (V/I) when I entered a pot-hole on the then (bad) Benin-Ore road. I had to change almost everything that was on the leg of the car. I wont be surprised if they (FRSC) will tell me that the tyre may be expired (am waiting to be charge to court also).

Let them charge the man to court and let us see if they were there when it happened or could provide enough evidence to confirm that it was actually over-speeding that led to the car somersaulting after a burst tyre.

I will also advice that the deceased should be charged to court for not wearing their seat belts as we read in some stories.

I also heard that the driver does not have a valid driver's license. This may be true as the personal driver of a Minister may not have the luxurious time to go through the cumbersome procedure of obtaining or renewing a license. They may tell us that the procedure is simple but you will know the truth if you have obtained one through the right process.

Crime / Re: Ese: Yunusa’s Lawyer Faults Father, Your Son Is 18 Not 25 by abwilly: 11:19am On Mar 10, 2016
“My son is 25, and I found it extremely necessary to stand by him at this moment of his travails despite his failure to accept my advice initially. Yunusa was a house help to Oruru’s family for 10 years and when he told me of his love relationship with Ese, I opposed him because we already had a bride for him in the village. When he called to say that he was on his way home with his love I informed him of the bride we had found for him,” the 55-year-old man said in the interview.

If this guy had been working for the family for ten years, at what age did he starts to work?

That then mean that the family is also guilty of child labour for employing a child at age of 8.
