vaxx1: you already says you are financially illiterate on this subject. so I will advice you to read more. you don't need to trust me . no need of coaching. just type credit rating agency on goggle and their methodology. may be you will be educated . they are three recognised agency
vaxx1: but I have shown you Ghana credit rating ....and it is also available on the internet if you don't believe me. I thought we have move on to another topic .
GHANA has a better credit than both kenya and TZ including south africa....
Ghana has B plane(S&P) and Tz has (B1 moody's) eq to B+ (S&P) I don't know how Ghana has bettered Tz.
vaxx1: it is on the internet but here it is for both 2019 and 2018 . you appear so cool.....
I am not an expert in financial matters but Ghana has B from S&P which is equivalent to B2 in that moody's ratings while Tz has B1 in moody's equivalent to B+ in S&P. So who is doing better?
vaxx1: There is NOTHING wrong if IMF continue bailing you out until you become successful. that is why they are there. it is better than to be entrapped into China debt .
That's true, IMF will not take your ports or Mines like China. The Chinese are kind like own the Angola's oil because of the large debts. But be under control of IMF that represents the failure of your economy. They won't be there controlling you if you run your economy properly.
rvp20182: Very funny. Do you have any figures? Ethiopia you know is your communist buddy with TZ & Ghana - ask Mr Nkurmah, Nyerere and Haile - what they did to your countries economic foundation.
Ethiopia already asked for debt rescheduling - 30yr extension from Chinese for 4B dollars loan - and chinese granted them. There is very little to suggest Ethiopia SGR will break even.
Facts are very stubborn..
kenya on daily basis run upto 28 trains....Ethiopia have two trains - that occasional stall - and yet they began operations about two years.
As regard to Tanzania SGR - that one wont be making any headway soon.
Remember IMF has bailed out the communist - Ethiopia, Ghana and Tanzania - severally before - and that is not about to change.
vaxx1: They even have a negative credit rating . their ambition to rake more revenue is assumed to be difficult to achieved ....
Our revenue authority is expected to collect 10usd bill in this budget year 2019/2020. Even without loans we can build by ourselves that railway for 5 years.
Just30: The 725km is the only one you will because able to do That is what your economy can support.
even in the next 20 years, your economy will not be able to support a 14 billion dollars on a single project.
You will have to be more productive to be able to spend that amount on a railroad
It doesn't cost 14usd bill. The first phase of 300km which will be completed in early months of next year cost 1.2 usd bill, the second phase of 426 km cost 1.46usd bill. The remaining phases are 435 km, 220km and 371km cost 942Usd million from from place called Isaka to Kigali Rwanda which World Bank has expressed its willingness to fund it.
the 14 billion is going to the construction company.
another Kenya loss making venture is being created
Now 726 km are in construction for 2.5 Usd billion and the total project is 1800km, the government has a railway budget of 7.5 usd billion for 5 years completion timeline not 14usd billion.
The demands for residential buildings in Dar are high. That company that the newspaper have quoted is gov estate company for public servants. They should sell to other private people. This below is Kawe apartments with 8 blocks each have 18 floors. It is a part of a planned Kawe city.
vaxx1: lol... how many of them are occupied. or are you also building a ghost city like China?
They are whole occupied. They have been built to replace the older buildings that was there and they are continuing to be built even right now. How can the government stop the companies to construct the building they desire.
vaxx1: fetch me the news when your total energy capacity reach that of greater Accra. I mean the whole of Tanzania
Good luck in your construction( once you have it better than Ghana, let me know) having more high rise buldng than Ghana does not quench your poverty ratio?
Your office are occupied by no body that is what the media says? so you are eventually building those substandard structure for the consumption of expatriate.
I am not talking about the offices but a market. This is kariakoo.
vaxx1: Be sound. and logical . Accra is just a miniature of greater Accra which is about 3245 square kilometre... he only shows you some part of Accra which only house 2.4 million people. You have a bigger country with a bigger poverty. what is your pride in that ? we aren't building with cheap Chinese Labour here or fake substandard cement here. There is Ghana standard authority to trash that nonsense away...
if you have you poverty stricken invested country championed on Tall building as that suggest that is the only advantage you can Bragg on. we are bragging here on a bigger development .""dams"" which can buy up the most expensive project ever undertake by your goverment in about three times . Akosombo dam is the largest man made dam by surface in the world ..
we don't have it Tall but we have it pretty..bragg about something very rational. Talk about electricity, education, water access, employment rate and poverty allievation ratio. your tribes men are known as beggers in the street of Nairobi kenya ....
This is in Accra....
Anyway you told me you have more UniversIties than Ghana, I am still expecting that fact...
Your dam have installed capacity of 1038MW while we are now constructing a hydro plant of 2115MW in stigler gorge.
Anyway the kariakoo market in Dar es salaam may have more number of highrise buildings than the whole of Ghana. 1: lake volta 2: Stigler gorge
psychologygh: seriously, if what you posted is what you guys were shouting skyscrapers and the rest, then I see no difference between what you posted and these pictures in Accra Central,Airport city and Tetteh Quarshie all in different areas in Accra. The little difference is you have all these little tall buildings concentrated in one central area whilst Accra has different areas or different central areas where these tall buildings are concentrated. Now,imagine if all these tall buildings which you guys seem to admire soo much is concentrated on one 100 square kilometers piece of land,it's going to be clustered and seen as a concrete jungle just as in these developing countries's metro cities in Manila,Rio,Jarkata, Bangkok, Islamabad, etc who even have more concentration of these tall buildings buh majority being empty offices and space just to symbolize fake development whilst majority of their population who can't afford to rent it and live in slums and fravelez.
These are some 20 tallest buildings in 1: Dar 2: Accra
There is no height limit mentioned there, they only use the term "or above". You can read the page 34 or show where there is limit of the height of buildings.
vaxx2: Even Afghanistan and Iraq has high rise and skyscraper respectively. he might think this country are economically strong enough to build it.
I have never said to have skyscrapers mean that you are more developed than the one which do not have. That should be examined separately in each country. There is no skyscrapers in Kabul or Baghdad. The tallest in Kabul is 18 storey building while Iraq there is 32 storeys building and the rest not more than 20 floors.
so nairobi has an economic strenght greater than DC, Barcelona, Berlin,Warsaw, Luxembourg, Stockholm and etc?
The skyscrapers are not constructed in those countries because of their laws. But in Ghana there is no such law which prevents people or gov/ companies to do it.
vaxx2: Go and check Accra metropolitan assembly regulation on buildings . that is a clue . the guidelines us more related earthquake though
All these noises will fade away in few years to come when Skyscrapers will start arise in Accra. The factors which hold Ghana to not have skyscrapers is different to those of European countries. London can have 500 Skyscrapers in years to come if things go according to plan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCKyuw1ST8o
