This is what i was saying about encouraging most of their students(especially undergrad) into research.
Most of their current achievements are by lecturers and some post grad students.

This semester a programmer working in Hebron startup lab was sent out cos of hair(when they don't even have up to 5 competent ones active there). When i was in school I never even entered that startup lab once, the dreamers committee by the former VC did not have a competent team even the startup lab till now have not really done anything significant since inception.

The guys excelling 3d modelling/simulation, programming, machine learning visual effects and other fields needed in Bioinfromatics, startuplab and other departments are MOST of the time not the ones that speak in toungues for hours in H.O.D ground at chapel but the guys that are being oppressed for silly issues like Jump trousers, hair, not bringing of bibles, 2 minutes late to chapel and seizing of id cards and other drama in that school.

Most of these initiatives that have been taking by the school are not sought after by all, cos there is a general perception most students have about things relating to names like "student council", "dean", "VC" and so on.

My work in the Programming school, BioInformatics and Startup lab was based on a relationship with a roommate in CU if not i wouldn't have known CU had interest in those things and they don't have much hand but consult at expensive prize when they are students availabe to work or research on most of these things.
But the school has made most students to worry about what should not be and not to be participative in some key areas.

Not sure how many people goto CUCRID meanwhile they are lots of opportunities there to make for a very innovative environment amongst students in CU not lecturers only. But again CU policy affecting the perception of most students.

Just my thoughts though.

Playstation games are sold more readily than xbox and PC games combined.

Go to any game centre . Ask for xbox games and see if dey have the console let alone play it's games. Then compare with ps4 and ps3 customers and games to play.

TBH, technically, it's not PC vs CONSOLES, it's actually PC[XBOX] vs PS.

With time, when there is so much integration between PC and XBOX because of Microsoft, PS will be BBM.

When I saw Lord16's post about gaming expos, I thought about those aesthetic beasts and beauties I see online and on mags, they make consoles look like rags.

Talking about surfing the net and watching videos on PS, PC's are better suited for IoT's than consoles.

Have you thought about playing your favourite song through gaming headsets while gaming, SWEET!

Or replacing the games soundtrack/songs with yours?

well, the laptop gives me everything.. For now I just use it for my office base simulators cause of the 32gb ram it has. For me, I prefer gaming on my console. To each his own.

The console is strictly for gaming, but play station 3 and 4 cancels out some opinion of this post cos you can do every other thing with it. Eg, watching movies, surfing the net, expandable hard drives which cancels out the ops post saying u are limited. My Ps4 came with 1 terabyte hdd and I changed it to 2.

For the fact that I get a beta frame rate on my laptop cos of the Nvidia graphics card, which I connect to a 4k TV through hdmi, I still cannot enjoy multiplayer or online play which makes me stick to the console.

Most of my friends are on psn, so why will I stay on steam?

The Ps4 controller was built to last forever... Pc has no sustainable controller, who enjoys gaming on a keyboard and mouse? Seriously?

Of recent I see stylish pc controllers on eBay but how many can be compared to the rugged ps4 controller?

Consoles gets verified updates, pc you get patches upon patches upon patches...


Those supporting this post may not have consoles hence the reason for their biased judgment.

I have both and I choose my console any day...

I decided not to wade into this pc lost war since yesterday. Who compares pc to console? I have a Msi gt70 gaming laptop that I got since 2014. It runs every pc game u can think of flawlessly but still.. I can't compare it to my play station 3 dem not to talk of 4.

you just compared a $2500 pc to a $250 console, use common sense and stop trying to feel sophisticated,in most cases medium to high pc technical know how is required, any layman can use a console.
U say pc cuts across generations, upgrading to abive medium graphics card sets u back about 500 to 1k2 usd, a ps3 came out as 300 usd, p4 at 450 usd, compare both to 2k5 upgraded pc.... So like 1k5 usd just to brag about graphics ... It doesn't make sense, funny thing is dat im a pc gamer, its a personal choice, not a sensible one but i dont regret it

I didn't even talk about which was better, I solely talked about particular points (upgradeable PCs and graphics) the poster I quoted made. After all this talk, at the end of the day, it's all based on personal preferences. Plus, I see you missed the bit were I said "technically obsolete", technically being the operative word.

Well, well... , at least, on a PC you can enjoy ultra gameplay on all titles for a while or as long as a console generation depending on the card, 'portability' and it can be used for other ICT purposes apart from gaming.

You can also play games from all platforms provided there's an emulator

New gen consoles don't make old ones obsolete(Well as far as play station is concerned). It's a different experience entirely with extra game trophies for those ps3 vita or ps2 games fortunate enough to be remastered on nowgen.

Ps3, psvita and ps2 games are still very relevant to play station gamers. Unlike you pc and Xbox users

Andrew Womack, Joseph prince and Hagin had both clarified decades ago that the there isn't a curse against anyone who didn't pay the tithe. However they both still supported the collection of the tithe.

For me if the leadership of the church wants the tithe as a form of offering there is absolutely no problem. We should simply remove the curse part because by principle of dispensationalism you can't apply Malachi to defend the curse on not paying tithe.


But God still wants us to support the church. Christianity has it is has a wider mandate than Judaism of old and requires even more than the tithe which the early church gave - the early church gave blood and sweat yet the church wasn't saddled with the responsibilities of providing free education or healthcare as people of today clamour for. But today there are churches venturing into many of these things and they require money to sustain it.
If you don't want to see initiatives like the ECWA Teaching Hospital, Covenant university, Babcock, Orphanages, elderly homes and co crashing down alongside the Church's core missions then you wouldn't talk to much about cutting the funding sources of the church.
