Ehen...in this kind of case, the wife will have to be very very very diplomatic, be a very very good 'snake'. Learn how not to be direct in any statement you're making i.e making statements that if your hubby wants to bring the angle of not supporting him or your in-laws wants to redirect the hatred towards you, you won't be found wanting, you'll be able to say you said this and this and your hubby will be convinced you are on his side, the same applies to your in-laws.
In summary, the wife would have to be like 'america', she will be solely diplomatic for her interest and what is that interest; amicable settlement of the conflict between her husband and her in-laws. |

Family › Re: I Guess This Is One Of The Reasons My Wife Must Not Be A Stay At Home Mum by Aceed: 9:25pm On Nov 21, 2015 |
Onegai: Well, from my experience with a parent who was semi-retired when I was a child:
I could quote Shakespeare in iambic pentameter as a child, I knew about the stock exchange, knew a lot of History, read Jane Austen and all the classics including Homer's Iliad and could write formal, informal and all sorts of correspondence (my emails are beautiful till now ) and I wasn't even a teenager at this point. This was all because I had a educated parent with a lifelong thirst for learning who wasn't hampered by having to go to work and not have time for me. Here's the funny thing, I was an average student for all my brilliance because I was a bad test taker and our school system rewards the best test taker and crammer (every open book test i took, i nailed it). And my parent understood his curious and brilliant daughtr better than her teachers. My final year project, I got a supervisor whom even other lecturers were worried about, picked a topic that my defense board felt was too vast for an undergraduate project and nailed it to the point that I got an A, people were referred to my project and I can submit that project to governmental board for urban planning, because it was a practical project. But I had a 2. 2.
No school could give me the education my parent gave me. Or had that much patience. I was given a lifelong thirst for knowledge as a child.
I have a foreign friend who retired at 40 and spends his days with his son, learning. My nephews attend school with N1mil annual fee and can barely talk properly (because neither parent have time to reinforce whatever they learn). My other nephew and niece had a Stay at Home mum who was intelligent and tutored them and got admission into top-notch secondary schools in UK (to the point other mums had to beg her and offer pay for her to tutor their kids).
Everyone has their own opinion on these things. See better woman sha... A woman that will not give her husband hassles in hopeless conditions despite her class... But you go wicked ooo |

ekenetheorg: You are not completely safe. There might be none on your phone, but many clues on your Facebook inbox and email, and the hackers can easily gain access to your login details on those websites via keylogger installed while you were installing a free software. Sorry, not completely safe! Right now, yes right now, the only usefulness of my email is to login to nairaland and I log on to my fb account once in a while to see what my friends are up to, nothing else. I do virtually nothing on the web except from "nairalanding" and downloading albums. So you can see that my online activity is really less than basic |

Speechless3: But its not my opinion Albeit sounding ignorant is not attractive esp on pubic forums, are you saying sicklers need excess water in their bodies to stay healthy Where is the ignorance in my posts? Someone suffering from sickle cell anaemia needs more water than someone that is not, therefore, the amount of water a person with a normal genotype considers sufficient may not be sufficient for someone suffering from sickle cell anaemia. |
Health › Re: Drinking Water Wrongly Can Kill! by Aceed: 1:15pm On Nov 15, 2015 |
Speechless3: No sir the article concerns everyone but more attention is given to athletes as they are most likely to take in excess water for special reasons while paying less attention to body signals. So you are saying that your suggestion won't be detrimental to sickle cell patients |
