U ask me to compare the town cities Nnewi and Onistha?
First, Nnewi is like any other villages in Anambra before the advent of Motor and motorcycle spare parts.The town was developed by its people without any government presence,we only know that govt is in existing when:
1,If any governor or big politician is coming to visit the traders or during election campaign.
2,When the Time to pay for taxes or other related levies.

Nnewi as town were developed by an individuals and if only
govt knowns dat Nnewi will be this blessed and rich with everything under the sun,government would've come earlier to plan the town,as I'm talking to u now in MOST
places in Nnewi don't have a street name.(don't wanna go deep on this street issue)
That's is where
Onistha comes in in teams of arrangement of houses and naming of streets.
Like someone pointed above,most Nnewi roads are too narrow and
people erect 3to4 story building that u brother Buddh can't do anything even if u were giving the state governor.
In terms of industries,Uru Umudim and
Otolo host about 30 industries and still counting,thus, Onistha has a bigger market.
Nnewi is judged to be the Third Largest Automobile in the whole world but u won't know until you enter inside the market.
Onisthsa is more planned than Nnewi but when u talk of youngest
millionaires I give it to Nnewi.

Anambra is not "jampack" as you have suggested. Anambra has less people and more land than Lagos. What happened in Anambra is that Town planning rules were ignored for a very long time.

Therefore, just as Fashola and even Sam Egwu did a lot of demolitions to get the roads back to where they should be and reclaim the open spaces encroached upon by touts and settlers that used them as illegal motor parks and markets, the same determination to restore the original plan of Anambra towns must be embarked on.

It it heart warming that the reclamation has already started with the upper Iweka axis. One hopes it continues and extends to other parts of the state where illegal markets and parks exist.

The adverse effect will be huge,even though I support the ideal of banning okada in our major cities,we still need to meet the manufacturers and inform them of this plan. In kano state for example,the motor cycle spare part market (kufar ruwa), all the parts are imported from Nnewi. Infact you have to go to Nnewi and meet the importer, then he will supply you the goods.,from piston to rings,tubes etc. They have inscriptions like this tobias, ocheson, ezees and the rest. Heard that most of them are made in Nnewi,while others are imported from China with the goods bearing the Owners Name.

90percent of motorcyle,keke napepe,generators and motor spare parts are all imptorted from China,India,Taiwan,Iran(mostly tyers and tubes) and Japan for most engine parts.
All most all goods comes with a 'special name' like u mentioned above but only few parts are being manufactured in Nnewi....goods like;
*side covers,leg shield,cutting gasket,OTC cables,winker lamps, side covers and some springs which hardly last.
Reasons being that imported goods are more cheaper and realiable dan nigeria made
Remember,I've stayed in this market for close to 13years and still counting....This market is a God sent because it has produced thousands of millionaires of which Innoson group is among.
