Ebonyi State has no need for 5 flyovers not to talk of 17. I must commend Umahi for not using all these funds to buy houses in Dubai, London and Houston like his contemporaries but then it is equally a waste. The number of Ebonyi youths jumping and racing hawking in traffic should be a problem for the Governor more than flyovers. Many of those youths already know what to trade but lack capital to actualize their dreams and a little trust fund from 10 out of the 17 flyovers could have helped at least 4000 of them with over 1 million Naira as start up capital. The roads are enough

I've known you for closed to ten+ years, you are niether good nor bad, at least better than that Chino of a guy, but let me quickly remained you that govt don't share money to the public but to create an enabling atmosphere for everything to thrive.

Ebonyi State got no government staff from any other Southeast State while other Southeast State have thousands of Ebonyi Staff in their pay roll.

Imo State has monthly wage bill of N2.6 billion, Abia State has N2.5 billion while Ebonyi State has only N900 million.

Ebonyi State got excess of N18 billion from wage bill to invest in infrastructure per annum. It's not magic, is just luck.

There are needs for expanded road and flyovers but none were done when the government was supposed to do them. Right now, people have built into the roads and no civilian government can do what is supposed to. So what I think the government is doing is to put those infrastructure in place before people of his states get rich enough to start building.

I was virtually driven round Ebonyi State because women were protesting and blocked the highway at Amasiri and it afforded me to opportunity to see many parts of the state before arriving Abakiliki. The entire Ohaozara LGA has all its roads constructed with concrete, and I couldn't find a single dirt road or potholes!

Visit Abakiliki itself and you won't believe this is a state that receives the lowest allocations in Nigeria.

Umahi has proved that there is enough money to develop all states if only the governor can be visionary and passionate about developing his state.

Ebonyi underdevelopment is caused by Enugu negligence...
Even Enugu is finding it difficult to develop despite the fact that the started developing before other state...(apart from Enugu capital other parts of Enugu are primitive and poor)... ******* *******

I'm from Abia state...in Abia our problem is only maintenance of roads...
ABIA STATE has more developed LGA than most state in South East...
(maybe except Anambra ... even though that of Anambra is debatable)...

1. ABA north LGA.
2. ABA south LGA..
3. Ugwunagbo LGA.
4. Osisioma LGA.
5. Obingwa LGA.
6. Umuahia north LGA.
7. Umuahia south LGA..

*Then to some extent Omoba (a city in Isiala Ngwa LGA)..

Note: this LGA i mentioned is as developed as the capital city ...
So i didn't mention emerging LGA... Like Arochuku LGA.

In Ebonyi state, it is the turn of Ebonyi North Senatorial District(Izzi) to produce the governor based on power rotation practice that has been on since 1999 but Ndu Ezza are bent on making sure 2023 elections does not go peacefully as they are bent on scuttling the gentleman agreement that has ensured relative peace in Ebonyi state.
