tit:You are an idiot! How dare you stereotype the Yorubas like this. We voted OBJ in 2003 due to his first term performance. This clueless president thought he could take us for a ride and yet get our vote! I pity you! |
tomakint:You don't know anything! |
Finally! Mr Olanusi elected to follow his people. Akoko is predominantly APC. A wise move by a great grass root Politician. Let see how Gov Mimiko will deliver Ondo to the PDP. He and Fayose speak as if they own everyone! |
It took me some months before I let go of mine! Really can't explain why though. |
Happy birthday day to a lover of God. |
As I watch the unfolding political campaigns of the two major political parties in the last few weeks, I feel anger, disappointment and frustration. my concerns for the future of this country has never been more genuine and self-inflicting. Nigeria is a country loved by God and detested by its Citizens. The past few weeks have shown that we are incapable of demanding the basic requirements of leadership from our leaders and neither do the people parade their credentials of leadership understand what it takes to lead the most populous assemblage of black people on earth. President Jonathan seems like a man who is groping his way out of an overwhelming wonderland while Buhari lacks basic understanding of Change. A man cannot propose Change without outline and content! He has come with a populist mantra of revolution without road map! While Nigerians who queue hopelessly behind these two clowns and their entourage of political jobbers are true to type! We have been raped for far too long that any promise of redistributive justice seems like a utopia. That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war , against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed and yet would be; businesses shuttered. Our health care is recklessly mismanaged and underfunded; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use our God given resources threaten our future. These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land - a nagging fear that Nigeria's further decline is inevitable, and that the next generation must lower its sights. None of the two major candidates have told us how they would solve our problems. Buhari has promised jobs, security, electricity, health revolution and a robust education resurgence. He seems determined to end the war against corruption and Boko Haram. Yet, these are all promises which any man can easily cough out in an attempt to win over a beautiful maid. A man must put forward a firm proposal to justify his quest to govern 170 million people and we seem to be quite taken. President Jonathan, has so far redefined cluelessness. It is either he is yet to come to term with the weight of the responsibility entrusted on him in 2011 when he rode to power on the ticket purchase with the sheer currency of sentiment and fortune. Jonathan was a lucky man in 2011, a man beloved as much as Bashorun Abiola. He could have easily being the best President in the chequered history of Nigeria, having presided over the most prosperous moment of our recent history. Yet he was misguided, misled and lost confidence in his ability and integrity as a leader. As we march into another election, we must all realize that the challenges we face are real, They are serious and they are many. The years of Oil driven prosperity is gone! The years of free petro money is over! We need a serious minded leader whose mien exude confidence and the assurance of a man who is in charge of his life and office. We cannot afford to go through the next four years under the leadership of clowns who do not understand the simple ethics of governance. Nigerians must decide without tribal sentiment, we must demand issue based campaign, we must hold the men who are soliciting our vote accountable. We must demand of them clear performance deliverable. President Jonathan must apologize to Nigerians for failing us inspite of the confidence we reposed in him. He must wake up and be the president for what is left of tenure and prepare for whatever the electorates decide. It is shameful that he has not told us how he would confront the unabated daily slump in Oil price, how he would address our near empty foreign reserve, he has no clue on how to redress the lost anti-corruption war and the Boko Haram seeming insoluble debacle. He is the President! He must act line one! He must talk like one! Until he learns the requirements of his office, he cannot demand for another term. It is immoral! Nigeria, at a time when the Naira is almost as useless as Zimbabwean Dollar, cannot afford another four years of uneventful leadership. So many people are struggling to keep up with soaring costs in a sluggish economy, we know that the status quo in Abuja just won't do. Not this time. Not this year. We cannot keep playing the same game with the same players and expect a different result – because it's a game that ordinary Nigerians are losing. And as people have looked away in disillusionment and frustration, we know what's filled the void. The cynics, and the lobbyists, and the special interests who've turned our government into a game only they can afford to play. They write the checks and we get stuck with the bills, they get the access while we get to write a letter, they think they own this country, but we're here to take it back through our vote. The time for that politics is over. It's time to turn the page. We must demand real leadership through our vote and cast aside those who want to continue to use us for their personal gains. Buhari may not be the Saviour, yet he would make a better President than the clueless President who takes glory in a re-based economy as one of his prime achievements in office. I would rather vote my restless Power Generator than queue behind Jonathan! |

I would not clap for Jonathan for fixing road with tax payers money. That is his job and he has failed more often in doing it. I would clap for him when I see clear evidence of systemic campaign against corruption and genuine attempt at democratic reform and strict adherence to the rule of law. He has woefully politicized the present security challenge facing the country and at the same time refused to show real empathy to the parents of the chibok girls. I regret voting and canvassing votes for him. |

I understand your pain and anger. I sincerely wish they were not real. But trust me, divorce is not the solution. A woman is out there messing up your home and happiness, and all you want to do is pack and run? Trust me, that is not smart sister! Fight for your home! Do not suck off and hit the street hunting coz the pasture out there isn't greener! Your hubby no doubt acted like a pig, and most men are, no offence intended. Fight for your home! My mum went through worst and decided to stay to raise us inspite of pressure from family and friends to walk off the union, she fought for us and what belong to her and today we are all happy she did. I know it won't come easy but if you are patient, you will be more than happy for it. |
I had loads of favour: Served in Kaduna in 2008. Benefits: Free ride Occasional pocket money from fellowship father Had my first taste of woman there! Free food from neighbour Free power supply from PHCN Free generator usage from Daddy Tony And finally, left Kad with a great job! What a time I had there! |

Ben, pls where is your office? |
I could use pop for the living room, the entrance passage and dining. But for the rooms, I need something cool and affordable. |
Can anyone help with affordable ceiling materials? I don't want to use pvc or the regular abestos, I would like something good, quality and nice. |
Once again, I want to thank everyone for your support and prayers. It was a long wait, she laboured through pains and I wish I could share some of the pains. But now, looking at the little angel, a beautiful daughter she brought forth I am so excited! God bless you all! |
Thanks for your prayers and good wishes. This is her first! |
It is well |

Inspite of his many failings, on this I thumb up for Jonathan. Quite presidential and very comforting. God bless you! |
The best of nature lies in thy bosom mother Africa, the toast of continents your strength and opulence draw kings and nobles to endless rift of spoil sharing and gun trotting. Africa! The strength of the universe, the last bride of nature with sumptuous virginity from Somalia to Kenya, deep down the creek of Delta to the arrogant diamond of the Zulus, earth cannot rival thy blessing and extravagant endowments. Shameless kings seek second dominance in oil rich north with flying birds and explosions, they sowed corruption in Naija they brought AIDS and HIV with their planes and then send grants to mock us Yet the African spirits wax stronger! Mother Africa, inside thee lies peace endowed by creation, but these evil emissaries of violence sowed poverty and grief in thy land knowing the volatile nature of thy productivity. Alas, in torrent we have reaped pains and bloods, four years drought in Kenya, two months xenophobia in south Africa, endless genocide in Sudan endless NATO assault in Libya with piracy holding sway in Somalia, oh mama Africa! yet thy love intoxicates me like the tribal white wine of Iwaya! they tell our stories in biased satellites they label us evil and apish oh Mama Africa, arise, arise ! out of thy trial in awesome purity. Arise! Arise! Arise! Arise from thy slumber and give hope to our fleeing children! Bring them from the south, west and north and let the eastern hemisphere release thy heritage. Now there is war in Africa but soon there shall be unassuming peace and discoveries of earth noble secret in thy enclave. |
What is special about this car that makes it this expensive? I am sure u want to sell. 3.2? |
I can imagine the fate of the victims of this cowardly act. My prayer goes the gentle repose of their sould and to their immediate families. Looking back now, I am grateful I forced my transfer out of Kano in 2012. We should not politicize this evil act. Times like these call for us to show common sense loss and fight this unjustifiable carnage. I would be wrong to say all muslims are responsible for this as bombs has no way of know which religion its victims practise. My heart goes out to friends and good people of kano and pray for peace for all. |
Bought my first car at 24. Honda accord 2001 model. The car cost me N1MM. It was so nice at the time and really wowed myself. Still remember how happy I was! |
I just don't know how to tell my parents and face her parents too. I should had thought about this but I never did. See things clearer now. It has not affected the way I see their daughter though. I think I even love her more and would be glad to formalise our union in a registry and do the trad. I am still upset that the father could cook up those lies about me not having a job, not being educated and all that. |
We were to have our traditional wedding December 2012 after my poeple went her parents to ask for her hand in marriage. The parents, we had known them for over 2 years or so and the father liked me. In fact, we had man to man conversation shortly after the introduction. I presumed he liked me and I never had any reason to worry. The mother on the other hand had reservations but eventually caved and gave her approval. We were fine I thought. It was when we called the Mum that they should give us the cost estaimate of renovating the village house the we discovered we were being played. The father suddenly became hostile and started insulting me that my interest in her daughter was money. She ordered her daughter not to see me again and that she should not even pick my calls.I felt betrayed and somewhat maligned. For the avoidance of doubt, I met her daughter as corps member who had no job, I had a car already at the time, I had landed properties and I's comfortable. Money was never and has never been an issue for me. I love her and that is all. At my age, 30 yrs, I am fulfilled with a doctorate in view and a job that pays more than enough. I felt the father should have a better reason. Following investigation, we discovered there was someone abroad whom they wanted her to marry hence their sudden change of mind. We had waited a long time without intimacy and yet we were happy and for me, she is a good person inspite of an issue we had last year. We took laws into our hands and now she is preggy. Things have been so strange. Neither my parents nor her parents is aware and now we don't know if what to do. Incidentally, the father who would not answer her greeting suddenly called her yesterday and said she should inform me to come get a date for our traditional wedding. I feel so angry that I don't want to see him! I am even scared considering how they humiliated me and made me look like a fool before my people. My Dad has been disturbing me but I cud not tell him what is happening. Pls help! |
