It was on the of first day of April, my cell had announced that I had a message waiting for my attention. the message actually came from my girl, u know, i mean my girl. the content was brief and straight to the point. Hi, I saw my doctor yesterday due to my protracted cough and he confirmed I was HIV positive! I will advise you go for a test. I deleted the text with the speed of light and told myself I did not see it. but within few minutes, I was sweating and what to tell friends, mum and had my plans crashing. But I kept wondering, but I used condom na! I jumped into my car, took a weird drive and rushed back to the house only for this girl to tell me it was April fool. The rest of the day provided some sober moment no doubt. How would you react |

The Kharki boys might not be the solution given their antecidents. I think our present situation as a country in search of fromidable identity calls for sincere and nationalistic reflection. When a people cannot see beyond primordial and self seeking interest, the end is always veri imminent. I feel embarrased sometimes when friends intoduced me as nigerian with mischevious tone. At the moment, the last thing I can dream is tell my children though unborn that their father is a proud citizen of a corruption and self-induced poverty contraption like Nigeria. I have just read the dailies from Nigeria today, and my hearts could not but bleed. this is a shame and something must be done. |
Cracks have emerged in the camp of ailing President Umar Musa Yar’Adua, as his aides are demanding to be told the truth about his state of health as a condition for continued support. A highly reliable source close to the Yar’Adua family confirmed that presidential aides are not happy that since the return of their boss to the country last Wednesday, none of them has seen him, including Acting President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, who has been managing the affairs of the country in his absence. Consequently, Yar’Adua’s aides, at a meeting on Thursday, decided that since they would not be allowed to see the president, for whom many of them had sacrificed what they called their hard earned integrity and honour, Jonathan, at least, should not be prevented from seeing him, in the interest of peace and order. Saturday Sun gathered that the aides are pushing for Jonathan to be granted access to Yar’Adua and also that steps should be taken to erase every doubt, as to what is happening. “The point is that people have realized that this matter has been taken to a ridiculous point. It is no longer funny to them anymore. The nation’s peace, unity and stability are being threatened. They can no longer pretend that all is well. History beckons on every Nigerian, irrespective of his or her position to rise up and save the country from disintegration. These aides have realized this and have risen to the occasion,” our source further explained. Saturday Sun learnt that all Yar’Adua’s aides have accordingly decided to rally round Jonathan and support him in an effort to reposition the country and halt the current drift. While sympathizing with the First Lady, Hajia Turai Yar’Adua, over her husband’s health, the aides are said to have expressed the hope that she would show understanding, in the face of the current hopeless situation, let go certain things and face reality as a muslim. Our source said if everything goes according to plan, the matter would be amicably resolved and the country would be spared further confusion and anxiety over the president’s health condition. Questions have continued to be raised as to the motive behind the sudden decision to bring back the ailing president to the country on Wednesday if his condition is such that he will continue to be shielded from people, no matter their position in government and also their relationship with the first family. All attempts by highly placed government functionaries to see him, since he was brought back to the country under the cover of darkness, have continued to be rebuffed, leaving people more confused and disenchanted than they were hitherto. Not only has Jonathan not able to see him, the national chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, has twice tried to see the president with key officials of the party and has twice been disallowed. In the same vein, the chairman of the Governors’ Forum and Kwara State Governor, Dr. Bukola Saraki, on Wednesday made another unsuccessful attempt to see the president. “Whatever their motive is in bringing the man back in a condition that no one is allowed to see him, not even his deputy; not even his party officials; not even the governors; not even his in-laws and so on, they clearly have failed. Nigerians cannot continue to be fooled,” our source added. Yar’Adua’s mother denied access to him The hide and seek game over the true state of health of ailing President Umar Musa Yar’Adua continued yesterday, as his mother was denied access to him. Competent sources close to the Yar’Adua family told Saturday Sun that the president’s mother, who led other concerned family members to Abuja, for the purpose of seeing their son, were told in clear terms that it was impossible to see him because he is still in the ambulance that moved him from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja to the Presidential Villa. The distraught mother of President Yar’Adua was said to have been told of the grave implications of evacuating the ambulance. According to the source, Yar’Adua could hardly now recognize anybody, as he has lost memories of anything around him. The source said: “Yar’Adua’s mother and those she came with from Katsina were told that they cannot see the president. The doctors told them that if Yar’Adua is evacuated from the ambulance, he would die. “It took doctors, a few of who came with the ambulance airbus, one and a half hours to evacuate the president from the airbus ambulance into the waiting ambulance at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport on arrival.” Family sources also revealed that they had earlier asked for the return of Yar’Adua to Katsina but that the wife, Hajia Turai, rebuffed all entreaties. |
Fresh facts have emerged as to why President Umaru Yar’Adua conceded the acting presidency to Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, which led to the clarification provided Thursday by the presidential spokesman, Olusegun Adeniyi that Jonathan remains the acting president and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. THISDAY learnt that following Adeniyi’s pronouncement on Wednesday in which he said the “president has directed the vice president should continue to run the affairs of the state” while he (Yar’Adua) is recuperating, the statement was said to have stirred the hornet’s nest and created uncertainty as to who was steering the ship of state. This prompted the governors’ caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dimeji Bankole, and the leadership of the party to move swiftly to douse the tension the statement from the presidency had created. It was gathered that the governors of Bauchi State; Isa Yuguda, Kwara, Bukola Saraki; Kebbi, Ibrahim Dakingari; Katsina, Ibrahim Shema; and Gombe, Danjuma Goje, moved swiftly with the leadership of the PDP and Hon. Bankole to meet with the president’s aides to explain the implication of the divisive statement and get them to reverse it promptly. During the meeting which also had the president’s wife, Turai Yar’Adua in attendance, the governors and members of the party ironed out issues and counselled the president’s aides to issue a clarification so as not to exacebate the already tense atmosphere in the country. The governors and PDP leadership further told the president’s wife and his men that failure to reverse the statement will compel the party to issue a counter statement contradicting the president. Sources in the presidency explained that for the governors it was important to have the issue sorted out immediately because prior to the arrival of the president, there was an agreement reached with Yar’Adua, on the one hand, and the PDP governors’ caucus and the National Working Committee of the party, on the other, that the acting president would continue to act, while the president comes back home to recuperate fully from his illness. “But following the infl-ammatory statement, the PDP governor and party leadership were said to have been alarmed, and met with Turai and the president’s aides, and advised that a correction be made,” said one official. According to the official: “The meeting was meant to douse tension and correct the wrong impression that had been created by the statement. “It was imperative because the impression had been created that there was a rift in the presidency which was not the case, as both Yar’Adua and Goodluck had been elected on the same ticket. “So the governors of Bauchi, Kwara, Kebbi, Gombe, Katsina and the Speaker of the House of Representatives met on Wednesday night with the wife of the president, Turai and others to iron out issues. During the meeting with Turai and the president’s men, another issue that was brought to the fore was the deployment of troops into the streets of Abuja in the wee hours of Wednesday morning without the consent of the acting president. Sources allege that it may have been the Aide-de-Camp to the President, Colonel Mustapha Onoyiveta who directed the Brigade of Guards to move troops without recourse to his superiors in the army and the Acting President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. The PDP leadership and the governors were said to be very concerned by the development and impressed it on the president’s handlers that by that singular action, the entire democratic institution could have been undermined because of the illegal order. They demanded that the close aide(s) of the president that gave the order be reprimanded, insisting that “it was unconstitutional and illegal to move out troops without the prior knowledge of the Commander-in-Chief, who is presently Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.” They called for an investigation into how the troops were moved without the necessary official permission. It was gathered that the governors also privately prevailed on Turai to set up a meeting between the president and the acting president as soon as possible. As at the time of this report, Jonathan and Yar’Adua were yet to have a one and one meeting. However, the acting president was said to have met with Turai Yar’Adua Thursday night to welcome the First Family back and pay condolences to her as a result of her ailing husband. Turai was said to have thanked the acting president and informed him that the president was upstairs resting from his trip but will be accessible once he is able to receive visitors. Prior to the Thursday night meeting, officials conversant with the meeting disclosed that only Hajia Turai, the Chief Security Officer to the President, Yusuf Tilde, and his ADC have access to the president. In a related development, as a sign that Jonathan is asserting his authority, he briefed presidency staff yesterday on how he intends to work. Presidency officials said "it was a meeting to harmonise the two offices, the president's office and the VP's office to work as one presidency.” There was no official statement after the meeting. Meanwhile Adeniyi yesterday shed more light on the president’s medical report said to have been sent to the acting president. Adeniyi stated that only one medical report was sent to Dr. Jonathan penultimate Friday, February 19 as opposed to numerous reports as was reported in the media. Adeniyi had on Thursday while providing clarification on the president’s directive that Jonathan remains the acting president and Commander-in-Chief, added that Jonathan had received Yar’Adua’s medical report while the latter was away in Saudi Arabia. Adeniyi denied newspaper reports that the acting president was receiving regular briefing on the health of the president while he was away. According to Adeniyi, “further to my interview with State House correspondents yesterday, I wish to clarify that only one medical report on President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua was sent to Acting President Goodluck Jonathan by the chief physician to the president, Dr Salisu Banye, through the Nigerian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. This was on Friday, February 19, 2010. “The Acting President has not received any other medical report before or after that date,” he said. |
I wonder what is going on n this country! Nothing seems to be working and we all pretend all is well. Something needs to be done, and it must be done urgently. I think Turai deserves to be tried for treason. She is taking evryone for a ride. unlimited wonder! |
I remember as an undergraduate in one of my classes, a prof of political Science, P(may the peace of Allah be upon his soul) once contested that the best time to have the military come to power is when the machinery of the state is near collapse like we have at the moment. At the time I was a fanatical apologist of western democracy! I bluntly told the class that the military had no business being in power, that the will of the state lies in the popular choice of the poeple. A t that time, it did not occur to me that there was a nasty dimension to the practice of democracy where civil movement is poor and constitutionalism is non existence. As always, the state, social contract and mutual expressions of both the subject and the ruler, cannot survive in the face of brazen disregard for the rule of law. Just like what happened in Niger Repulic of late, Nigeria needs a rescue and nationalistic emancipation from the paws of macabre mafioso presently holding it to ransom. While I do not canvass a return to military era, I do not also subcribe to a situation where kitchen cabinet members and a non official member like the wife of the president holding 150 million souls to ransom on account of greed and self perpetuation in power. It is obvious to everyone that can see that Mr. President is way too sick to discharge the functions of his office. He should have taken the path of honour while the ovation was loudest. He had a chance at history but he was too blind to the perception of honour. Nigeria will continue to struggle in the midst of plenty and her list of honours further depleted among the comity of nations. In the coming months, events that will shape the face of the country will take place such as removal of the ailing president either by impeachment, death, military intervention or massive civil disobedience . Nigeria is way too big for a village teacher from the suburban state of Katsina to be held to ransom! |

Much as I enjoy her company, I do not expect us to graduate our friendship to something else! You see, fine girl no won hear o! I just don't know what to do again. I have told her to stop coming to my office coz she distracts me a lot! She would always ask for a date, lunch together and monthly provisions and all that. to me, she is a good girl, but giving to her prompting would only amount to sighning a player on loan! I have been thinking about this for sometime . Who among this crop of politicians wolud you want as ur president in 2011 supossing your vote counts? |
I have nothing personal against Soludo. I am only disappointed in him. A man of his intellectual status should have known that being foisted of the people of Anambra will place him on the wrong side of history. I could not just place it. if people like peter Obi could win despite several odds then why should he be afraid. As a Nigerian, he has the right to vote and be voted for but he does not have the right to deprive delegates their right of self expression. He has gotten an order of Anambra high court but he wont get that of popular consent. Men of honour should always resist the temptation to dance naked but Soludo's case seems an exception. If you must fight, fight honourably! |
Prof Soludo is now a villian because he wants to be the governor of Anambra state . . . . Damn, you must be a disgruntled idiot. FYI, the pull him down mentality of you fools doesnt yield effect on all personalities. [/color] Soludo did not fall because I pulled him. He's a victim of the system that produced him. I hate slugs like you whose expertise lies in flirmsy TENTACLES! I wish he were kidnapped for good. No PDP product can bear good fruit. You are a super idiot! |
Few years back he was the toast of the international community. He won accolades for his doggedness as the CBN , champion of the consolidation era and proved not a few cynics wrong. Although his actions as the CBN gov has been under probing search light since the emergence of mr sanusi, yet his contribution to the growth of the financial industry cannot be tainted. much as he was loved, and being part of the inept breed, greed seems to have taken the best part of him. I felt he would have retired to a peaceful life but his recent action has left everyone in disappointmet. I wish he were the one kidnapped! |
Personally I would wonder why ladies would expect guys to mdo all the rocking. If I make you dance timaya then it will only be fair for you to make me speak in tongue. Me think this is a dimension of gender equality will need to examine! |
U guys made me almost laugh my ass off. Not that I could not go see her but I doubt if I will make it beyond their gate and I do not know anyone close to her . we met in my office and she has been the one visiting because her parents do not allow male visitor even though she is 22. I missed her and I try her cell every second. I guess she will get over it soon. I appreciate those of u that reasoned intelligently while I recommend speech therapy to those of you who seem to have lost speech composure. |
Me think this dude is paranoid! He talks of eldorado while he lives in sodom Economy growth or expansion is a function of systematic policy initial and implementation. I think He meant to say our economy might not recover from the shock of his rash decisions. |
I would need it by Nov. my budget is N1.6MM. |
It was a quiet evening after months of anticipation, she finally succumbed. Although she had visited more than ten times, she never allowed me to touch her. But las sunday, she came on her own and I realy did not bother myself about seeing her, but she flung herself on me. Oh God I love Thsi babe but She would not believe me! Unlike most of my babes, she is young, intelligent and beautiful and quite polite. I felt I could build my life around her. After humping her three times, she started crying, pleading and almost went spiritual. She was shouting baby i want to vomit and true to her word she left my house sick! I have not been able to reach her on her cell and she did not call either. i am tired of hunting. I wish she could know I am for real! Oh i love this angel but I hate it most when my baby cry during sex. pls come back and let me take you to hulala! the city of pleasure! why was she crying? why did she want to vomit? why , ? |
