I think you guys should start the building project. I had to sacrifice my car late last year when I took the painful decision to start my building project. It has been stressful but each time I visit the project site, I feel so happy. Getting a car has advantages in the short term, but building your own house especially when you don't have all the money is the wisest thing you guys can do. I sold off my car of N1.250 for 720 after two year but the land I bought N200k two years ago now go for N900. I trust you guys will decide the best.

Thank you everyone. Your advice really came handy. I had a heart to heart conversation with her yesterday, and discovered what I thought was a fling actually run deeper than I could imagine. I could not go sleep until 3AM. she betrayed th only thing we had-trust. I have told her we can't continue with the wedding plan. You know, I have also told her we would have to reaccess everything. I'am so heart broken. I thought i was strong until this happened. I walked into my offie this morning feeling empty and crying inside of me. I just don't know where to start from. She lied, she did our thing with him!

I was shocked to discover that my girl of over two years was it passing over me. We got engaged sometime March 2012 and we are currently preparing for our wedding. She meant everything to me and I love her with my life. And she is all I want. She is all I want because she is the best. We would talk, talk and talk. recently i discovered she was always in a hurry to end phone conversation, she started lying, and getting funny. Initially I thought it was something I did but then she said there was nothing I did. Few days ago, I called her and she said she was in the ladies that I should call back.

but then there was so much noise in the background. I did not suspect anything because trust has been the bedrock of our relationship. But later I was suprised that when she called me and said she had offended me because she had been seeing this guy she met in Unilag shen she went to submit her post graduate form for over two months now. That she had had to keep our engagement ring! I was dazed!

We never had no problem with money, I gave her all the attention. and I have always supported her. We're the best of friends I thought. I kept asking her what did i do? honey, did I offend you? was it me? did I push you out? no, washer response! she said she felt she had everything under control.

the problem is, she wants us back! she wants the joy and hapiness we once shared innocently back and she has been crying, I am also crying even though no one could see my tears or hear the sound of my wailings!


I love this girl and can't imagine a life without her, but I hate lies, I hardly forgive been taken for a fool. I am damn too confused! could someone with a sensible head help me out here?

Thanks guys ! I sure got my promotion and kind of enjoying it. But the fact remains that I am still stuck in one of the boko haram states. Have been asking for transfer and still waiting. These days surviving and church attendance have become so dicey that one doesn't know when the next bomb will go off. Still have my FBN offer and Lagos is also on offer. I am honestly considering taking this offer for safety reason. I am so scared here can't even drive out again for fear of being shot either bt bh or jtf. Does anyone have any advice?

It does work but require a lot of commitment. Lots of calls, genuine love and trust and above all, you must have a clear cut goal in mind. You also have to see at least once a month otherwise forget it! The most important thing here is trust and communication. I currently work outside Lagos while my fiancée in is Lag. We speak as often as possible at least 1:30m daily. Distance relationship is not meant for players or people who have not made up their mind about what they want out of the relationship. For guys or girls who cannot hold their legs together, they can't go a week faithfully. If you are in one, and your girl is the best thing you have going for you, you will do anything to keep it going. The difference between close and distance relationship for working folks isn't much.

Great decision. I recently got a job with FBN but declined the offer when I was told I would be posted to Kano coz I did my interview there even though they had inkitially agreed my request for Lag. Life is worth much more than job. This BH, you can't tell how many people would still die.

This is what happened when ignorance and religion take centre stage in any society. Imdays in Kano, women are reduced to nothing and treated as mere belongings. Hisba and Kano State gov are jokers hiding under religion. They should tell how many of those widows have been helped by the officials.

You don't have to be scared! I live far away from my girl and we have never had problem with insecurity. We trust each other,and don't have problem with the fact that we are apart. I think things like this work when relationship are based on mutual truth, love and chastity! Ensure you visit as often as possible, call frequently and share unique moments together when you see. Above all, hand over your relationship to God. Don't fret yourself whatsoever. If he would look at another woman because they give him attention then so be it! God will give you a deserving person. I joined GTBank Plc three years back as an Trainee. I have enjoyed every bit of my stay as I have had training opportunities I probably might not have had somewhere else. As you would expect, the trainings haven't come without challenging responsibilities. I could say with some dint of modesty that I enjoyed those challenges. Nice as the bank is, promotion does not come easy. Recently out of curiousity, I applied to FBN, attended the interviews and went for medicals. It turned out that I was offered a better pay and level. I also told them my preferred location which they acceded to. I got a call this afternoon asking me when I would resume and I just could not give them an answer! I have been hesitant and unforthcoming. Thinking of the Bank reminded me of the fisrt time I stepped and how good it's been. I also considered the fact that I would be promoted by June. I don't know if I should stay or leave. Someone pls advise me.

I'm  a firm believer in the healing power of God and I preach it daily. However, as a young man how has been through a lot, I'm finding challenging entering into a life long relationship given these intricasies.  I hav spoken with her Mum many times and have also visited her and made my intention known formally. I love my girl and I just still can't think of loosing her.  I have been praying with her and I still will continue particularly in this trying moment. My fear is having a mother in law who does not realy love me and accept me. And again, I just don't know!

Ever since I met my girl, I have had a huge change of life. Things have been much better than they once were. Our relationship has been based on mutual trust, love and has been totally sex free for the past nine months. Not even a kiss! she loves me I know but there seems to be a number of problems I have had to ignore because I felt we could pray through. First, the mother seems to her someone for her in the States, so she does not seem to like me that much. Second, BAck then in February, I went to see a friend in a Abulegba. While at my friend's place, a woman told I had someone in mind as wife, that I should not marry her as I would die shortly after the wedding. Initially, I felt she was one of those WAYO prophetess. so I shoved with backhand and moved on. But suprisingly, when I told my girl she told me a friend of her's from MFM told her she should pray againt widowhood shortly after her wedding. So we both prayed against it and moved on. Not long after then, a friend, one of my schoold days prayer partners told me i should pray against barreness, that my girl will have problem conceiving. I just told him no one shall be barren among them and moved on! We are putting finishing touches to our wedding plan when her mum suddenly called her and told her to go on vacation in the US. I knew what that meant but ignored the obvious because I could not bring myselt to think of ever loosing her! As her preparation for the vacation got intensified, she had one of her usual mentural complication, she was rushed to the hospital and the Doctor diagnosis shows she has fibroid! Her mum probably got disconcerted and ordered her not to tell me with further instruction that she should pressure me to fasttrack the wedding. Somehow, she felt she owed me the obligation o ftelling me. I felt relieved at her sincererity but got scared at her mum's attituted. I have asked to go for a surgery but she is insisting she won't. She wants us to go ahead with the wedding. I love, but I can't bear the agony of childlessness! I have not been able to tell my Mum or anyone close to me. I just don't know what to do!

I was not trying to build resentment. I figure the fact that i am in far away kano and her being in lag is the reason. We should have spent the day together but for the distance. i will take a walk out with as sooon as i get back to lag and see how we can figure out things. She is the only girl I have really loved and always will!

I could not but think about it even after she saw it on facebook, she never called to say happy birthday. I love this girl and i have promised myself i would just settle down with her soonest butshe is breaking my heart. I hope she would just love me back! I would be the first person to call on her birthday , not being a fool, the tot of her is all i need right now. All the calls, the visit and the cards sent were nothing without her call!

TOoday is my birthday and my girl has not called. I called first thing this morning as I always do and I was expecting her to say happy birthday.
I just said hello honey, how was your night and wished her the best for the day. Everyone had called but hers never came. Even at lunch time, I called her up and asked if she had had lunch and she kindly said yes dearie. My girl obviously forgot it was my day and i never told her! Painful as it is, i wont hold it against her but she forgot my happy birthday!

Be forthright and gentle about it. Tell her your mind and don't keep her waiting or hoping.

Hey Tavelista, I did not ask out of gult or whatever, I did what i did out of respect for the mutual love we both profess. I used to be ur kind until i found love. I hope one day you will find love and stop sleeping around. I had my turn, u could check my old posts but those were the most miserable moments of my short life so far. The noblest reason a man can live for is love and dying for same is the holiest of all!

Hey, Just don't know what to do right now. my GF is out of town and I promised I won't do our thing with another girl.
I havnt been in love for a long time since I broke up with my girl of over two years. But this time, despite our tribal differences,
I love her and I would not want to betray that love. consequently, i have limited my activities to office, gym, light outing and fellowship.
However, on friday, late in the evening, after leaving office, I decided to see an old pal i haven't seen for a while. so I went and it was a nice outing.
He has this neighbour, a replica of the falling angel, fare and bold and she picked at me straight away. It was a mere chat i never gave much attntion. The following morning being saturday, I spent most part of the day with indoors seing a movie. at 12pm, I had a violent bank on my door with my friend's voice shouting my name. Long and short, he did not come alone, he came with CHICHI, the devil as I thought. I left them both and went to my neighnour's and spent some time. before I came back she was already in my bed room resting. At first, i felt wow, o boy see opportunity both on a second thought, i said not this time. my old self nudged me towards her but i seemed to be in control. I gently walked up to her and explained I am engaged and i won't want to hurt my girl. she was seething tears and told me she had dreamt of since last night she saw me.
I had to start consoling her and later warned my friend never to bring whores to my house. Was that right?
