Ibukun003:Very true. The bank staff did all they could to convince me the day I decided to liquidate my FD and go for TBills. They failed because my mind was made up and I have spotted the difference. Thumbs up to the creator and contributors of this thread. |
Kentrasso:It is profitable. The primary market is run by CBN and takes place every two weeks. The secondary market takes place as a result of the fact that some persons are in need of cash and would want to liquidate their investment as such they would be sold to intending buyers. In addition, you did not state the interest rate. I hope this helps. |

Live Happy And Joyful Every day Tuesday, February 21st . Pastor Chris ``Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory (1 Peter 1: .``You’re to live happy every day, and your happiness and joy should be independent of circumstances. Nothing, and no one, was created to make you happy; you’re responsible for your joy and happiness. Never find yourself looking gloomy, and confused. Never carry on through the day with a disconsolate and restless attitude. Confusion and depression are the handiworks of the devil. Never allow them in your life. Instead, always allow the joy of the Lord well up in your heart. Be full of joy always! In John 15:11, Jesus said, “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” His desire is for you to be full of joy twenty-four hours a day, irrespective of the circumstances you face. He doesn’t want you worried over anything. Some people love to worry. They think being worried is a sign of being responsible. They’re worried about the children’s school fees, worried about their job, worried about the state of their health, worried about their spouses, and worried about so many things. That’s not the life of a Christian. The Christian has been brought into a life of rest, full of joy and glory. Philippians 4:4 says, “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” Even when you’re faced with challenges, you’re supposed to rejoice! He didn’t say you should rejoice only when everything is all right; no. He said, “Rejoice in the Lord always.” If you couldn’t rejoice always, God wouldn’t tell you to do so. It’s natural to feel downcast when things don’t seem to be all right; but it’s the wisdom of God to rejoice even in the midst of troubles. Don’t let anything weigh you down. Do what the Word says: Cast all your cares upon the Lord, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Whether the trouble is in your finances, health, family, academics, whatever it is, cast it on Him, and rejoice. Then, declare like David, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1). In the face of challenges or unpleasant situations, instead of wondering what to do and what the problem is, laugh! Laugh and laugh! Rejoice in the Holy Ghost, knowing that the joy of the lord is your strength. Hallelujah! *CONFESSION* _The peace of God which surpasses all understanding keeps my heart and mind, in Christ Jesus. Good things are coming to me today from everywhere! I refuse to worry about anything, for the Lord has made all things mine! His joy is expressed lavishly through me today in every place. Glory to God!_ *Further Study:* *|| Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. ||* *|| 1 John 1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. ||* *|| James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; ||* Daily Scripture Reading 1-Year Bible Reading Plan: Mark 5:1-20, Leviticus 19-21 2-Year Bible Reading Plan: Matthew 16:13-20, Exodus 2 |
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL. Stand For Him. Monday, February 20th. Pastor Chris. Whether any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellow helper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 8:23). When God puts you in a particular place of work or business, His interest isn’t about your office, because that doesn’t count in His Kingdom. What matters isn’t whether you’re the Managing Director or Chief Executive Officer; it’s not about your rank or designation. What matters to God is how effective you are in using your office to promote His righteousness. He wants your passion for the Gospel, for which He sent His Son to die. Everywhere you are, you ought to be busy for the Lord. If you stand for Him, He’ll stand for you. The Apostle Paul, in our opening verse, was commending the commitment of Titus and others who were with him on his missionary journeys. Paul was proud of their commitment to the Gospel. He said, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ.” What a testimony! They were the apostles of the churches, sent on missionary activities. It makes no difference where you are, and what you do; see yourself as a sent one; a minister of the Gospel. Stand for the Lord. Preach the Gospel. Minister the Word to those in your world. The Bible says He’s made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life” (2 Corinthians 3:6). You’re an oracle of God! You’re His mouth-piece. Speak for Him! Do His work. Arise, and shine for the Lord! Do big things for Him. Be bold. Be daring. Nothing should be terrifying or intimidating enough to keep you quiet. Preach the Gospel as though you’re the only one the Lord is relying on to do it. Be an activist for Jesus Christ, bearing His message of faith, hope, and love. Fuel your passion for the Gospel and keep preaching it with all fervour, for the end is near. PRAYER. Lord, your Word is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations, desiring men and women around the world to come to the knowledge of the truth. I stand firm in the faith, unashamed and undeterred to preach the Gospel and spread your righteousness around the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL Going To Church: How Important Is It To You? Thursday, February 16th. Pastor Chris. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching (Hebrews 10:24-25). Some Christians think they should only go to church when it’s convenient. They believe God is everywhere, so you don’t necessarily have to go to church to serve or worship Him. It’s not right. Our opening scripture expresses the importance of going to church. It chides those who don’t and admonishes us not to be like them. There should be a compulsion in your heart to be in church when you should. Cultivate that personal discipline. God says it’s important so it must be to you too. In the Old Testament, He said to the children of Israel, Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel. For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God thrice in the year” (Exodus 34:23-24). Notice what He told them; He promised them those lands, through their fathers: Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. But the lands were occupied by enemy nations who were naturally stronger than Israel. However, God was going to cast out the nations from before them, give them their possessions, enlarge their borders and protect them. The blessing of verse twenty-four was fully dependent on their obedience in verse twenty-three; their being in the designated place of worship when they should. It’s all about priorities. This year, as you make it a priority to be present in your church, fellowship and cell-group meetings, God’s mighty hand of protection will rest upon all that you do! His Word that’ll come to you will lift you, and keep you perpetually above every evil, destruction, hardship and terror. You’ll ride upon the high places of the earth, walking in abundance, and in the wisdom of the Spirit. Hallelujah! PRAYER. Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the opportunity to be instructed by your Word. Not only do I provoke those in my world to good works, I do not forsake the assembling of the church; the blessings of fellowship with you and with fellow believers is seen and manifested in my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study: Psalm 133:1-3 Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 [It is] like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, [even] Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; 3 As the dew of Hermon, [and as the dew] that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, [even] life for evermore. I think little or nothing can be done because the family bond might go sour as a result of this. Your sister can intervene with wisdom. The people who hurt us the most are friends and family members because sometimes they have an entitlement mindset towards what we have. Subsequently, only borrow what you can part with. Thanks |

You Have A Sound Mind . Monday, May 16th . Pastor Chris For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). As Christians, we have the mind of Christ, a sound mind; that means an excellent mind. It makes no difference how many people don't think you're sound, God says you are, therefore, see yourself in the same light, and talk accordingly. A sound or excellent mind is one that's fixed on the Word; one that's controlled and influenced by the Word, and doesn't vacillate. It's a renewed mind that stays the course, and keeps doing the right things, regardless of changing circumstances. A sound mind thinks and produces excellence only; it doesn't allow mediocrity and imperfection. God demands perfection. He said, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect" (Matthew 5:48). That's why He gave you a sound mind, an anointed mind, so you'll be very excellent at what you do in a way that stands you out all the time. Affirm always that you're sound. Continually say to yourself, "I have an excellent spirit, and I do excellent things, because the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of excellence, lives in me. He has anointed my mind to produce excellence." Have this consciousness every day. The Scriptures testify that you have a sound mind, so, don't wait for anybody to say it about you. God said it, so you may boldly affirm the same thing: "...for he hath said...So that we may boldly say..." (Hebrews 13:5-6). So, even now, declare, "I have a sound mind. I do excellent things. I'm set apart for excellence!" Say this to yourself several times today. CONFESSION The Holy Spirit has made me super-intelligent; He has anointed my mind, therefore, I have an extraordinary amplitude of comprehension. I have quickness of understanding, and the wisdom of God is at work in me to produce excellent results to the glory of God. Further Study: || 1 Corinthians 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ. || || Psalm 119:99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. || || Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. || Daily Scripture Reading 1-Year Bible Reading Plan: John 7:25-8:1-11, 1 Kings 18-19 2-Year Bible Reading Plan: 1 Corinthians 9:20-27, Proverbs 12 EXTRACT FROM: Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional |
