Dear Mods, Your antispam bot is unduly aggressive tonight. Please unban ACM10 and make his last two posts visible. Thanks as I anticipate your swift response. |
Rossikk: The world has moved beyond open air markets which you take for "development". They are actually a sign of backwardness. Modern shopping malls are the current and future of retail. They also provide employment to thousands of people directly and indirectly, including high level formal employment for graduates and so on. States should build MORE of such facilities, and less open air markets vulnerable to filth, flies and hoodlums. From your comment, I can bet my salary that you have not been to Onitsha market. There are many shopping malls inside main market that are equally big, though not as big as Shoprite. Each one provides both direct and indirect employment for thousands of people. Onitsha market is slowly moving away for open market to malls. Many of the rich businessmen are buying lands inside the market to build shopping malls. Some of the shopping malls inside Onisha market are Emeka Offor plaza, Golden plaza, one owned by GU Okeke etc. Onitsha residents should please fill in the gaps |
Finestlex: . Are you sure you're a nigerian or you just woke up and decided to post this shit for comments... Have you been to Anambra and delta before? You don't conclude by passing through the state via federal road... Of cos every federal road is cool... Anambra and delta has the worst road networks in nigeria in terms of the states I've been to... I just finished my service this feb, and I served in delta, asaba precisely.. I was really disappointed.. Still don't know why EFCC haven't apprehended their Gov Dr Oduaghan.. You didn't even mention imo state, cross river, kaduna... #fuckit...You lie! The road networks in Anambra isn't perfect, but it is not among the worst in Nigeria. By the way, apart from Enugu-Onitsha expressway from Building material market to Awka, name any other road in Anambra that is in a bad shape? |
Abagworo: Lagos city(not State) is the most developed area in Nigeria followed by Abuja city(not FCT). The rest are still coming up. No State in Nigeria (including Lagos and the FCT) is anywhere near developed. This topic is like bringing 2 one-eyed men(Lagos and FCT) and 35 blind men then asking who has the best sight.I agree with your comment. Frankly, I am disappointed with all the states in Nigeria. Development is a foreign term to Nigerians. This is more like comparing the degree of government mediocrity. Nigeria is a disgrace and a huge embarrassment to Africa. Our leaders are not even ashamed. Giant of Africa(sic) ![]() |
cnnamoko: from my numerous tours all over 9ja, i have come to realise that these states are the most developed...just my observations, or what do you think?Anyone who has travelled round the country like I did will agree with this list. I used to say that Anambra is not up to scratch in terms of development till I travelled to other states. My general conclusion is that Nigeria is a massive slums and villages. |
I've been to several states in the west, south-south, south-east middlebelt and some northern states. I can comfortably say that Abuja, Lagos, Anambra, Enugu deserves to be in that list. |
