Hi @op! I don't know if this helps. I wrote a departmental course in 300L and got a D. I actually thought I deserved better than that so I went humbly to the lecturer and spoke with him. We sat down and reviewed it together. Whilst he correctly graded my scripts, he noticed I was making some honest errors and did quite put some thoughts in answering his questions. So, he decided to push me to the next grade by adding 2 marks to it. I got a 48D but now 50C and he did it across board- adding 2 marks to all. This singular act made me to graduate with a 2.1 in OAU Chemical Engineering and I am grateful for the gesture and glad I took that step. Please go and ask politely otherwise it might hunt you for a long time.

Ps: The lecturer was a no- nonsense lecturer oh. Even, did a sign-of-the-cross before meeting him.

You can go to YouTube( free), udemy( free and paid), coursera ( scholarships available), kodekloud( there is an interactive interface for practice) etc. Also, you can search for " coding for free" and tons of resources will be made available for you. Now, for choice of prog language, it depends on what you want but I will suggest you go into python and be proficient at it. By so doing, you have a sought after skill that can open doors.

Even without knowing the conditions of service of both, I will advise you to choose digital marketing for reasons below:

1. Opening 20 business accounts per month is very difficult especially in the present day Nigeria. You might find it easy at first if you have family members and friends willing to open accounts with you but I tell you, it becomes difficult as you progress.

2. Digital marketing exposes you to a lot of possibilities and it can only become better as you improve.

3. In Digital marketing, you can definitely wfh or remotely.

4. I have worked in banking for almost a decade before I left. And the experience is you might wake up one day to discover that you never really added much to yourself except you are in the fincon/treasury/ IT unit

I am a fresh graduate, I passed out of service last year and I got a Digital Marketing Job paying ₦60,000 per month. I also just got a contract job in a banking sector paying ₦100,000 per month (target is opening of 20 business or corporate accounts per month).

I have met celebrities at different places but chiefly among them, was in etb where I was a teller in those days. Glo used to engage a lot of A list celebs for glo advert. My ops officer (OO) was really star struck...she would pack all our 1000 naira denominations and give to the guy. Now, we were in charge.lol. I went to the relief OO and asked him to vault out 200 denominations for me. When the guy saw the dirty looking money, he started begging, wetin concern us..even my new OO was with us. The guy even told us his wife just gave birth and showed us the baby's photo. Long story short, we still gave him the #200 denomination but added a bundle of #1000 for his bundle of joy. Since then, the guy became friendly with us and we treated him accordingly.
