I can see the endurance in this picture...noisy and hypocritical tribe! it is not the Igbos that cried out to the world about hunger. We all know the hunger capital of the world. Politics › Re: Ohaneze Youth Council Asks Igbo Resident In North, West To Boycott Protests by Adaisback(f): 3:45pm On Jul 20, 2024 |
Eriokanmi: Oh, well, just as history had it, there were 2 political parties, the NRC and SDP, set up by the then military president, IBB. MKO contested under the SDP while Tofa contested under the NRC. People were just tired of the military government and thehr exsess, especially the abuse of rule of law.
The election was slated for June 12, 1993. MKO tagged his campaign theme Hope '93. The election went on and it was an open ballot one. Abiola won. It was a free and fair election. The IBB later annulled it and claimed it was marred with irregularities.
Abiola was parading himself as the winner and a president-election which angered IBB and he declared him wanted. There was a protest in lagos and other parts of the south west and south south cos of the annulment. Igbos left for the south east, learning from the past protests in the country in which their properties were destroyed by hoodlums and some igbos died.
When normalcy returned, they returned to Lagos. Abiola, having been declared wanted, went into hiding. That's the summary of what happened dear Now I know! Thanks so much sir . You are indeed my role model. |

Eriokanmi: If you like , call me chukudi, ko kan aye. Only a fool will compare Anambra or Abia or whatever with lagos, a cosmopolitan city in terms of population and revenue generation. I live in alimosho. Our population alone will swallow up that of Anambra and abia.
That said, over 50% of investments in Lagos are owned by ibo. You may disagree but take a look at it from those in charge of hospitality business in lagos. A large percentage of hotels here are owned by them, likewise household wares products. Go to Coker, Odunade, trade fair, alaba...90% of shop owners selling them are ibo. In banking, they own some of the leading banks here, you know already. What of spare parts, na dem. Who pay a higher percentage as tax to lagos government, them of course. They are leaders in pharmaceuticals too.
We will not realise all these facts until Nigeria finally breaks up. I don't know your age but if you were grown up during June 12 election annulment protest, when almost all of them were called home, you'd have an idea what I'm talking about. Everywhere was desolate. Lagos looked like a ghost town cos we couldn't see things to buy. Protesters were seen breaking their shops they left behind and looting. That was the only protest in Nigeria, which tribalists didn't link to ibo. Life returned after normalcy was restored. That's why I always encourage youths amongst us to begin learning what we may lack once Nigeria breaks up cos it won't be funny. Daddy Eriokanmi, Am not perfect, but honestly, you are my role model . Can you tell me a little more about June 12, what happened? My people used to call it Oso Abiola ( Abiola's run / race ) why was that ? |

Family › Re: Guys What Should I Do About My Fiance. I Need Advice From Married People Please. by Adaisback(f): 11:36am On Jul 20, 2024 |
Lawly: I have a fiance that I have already proposed to and we are planning on getting married this September. But I noticed that she won't let me touch her before marriage which I think she was just trying to maintain her standard. I also noticed that she doesn't like coming to my place to help me do anything. As a matter of fact, she has never helped me do anything in my house. She has never cooked for me in my house, she has never helped me clean the house, she has never washed my clothes etc. Rather, she stormed my house one very early morning and woke me up just to drag me that I have not been spending money the way she wants on her. I was pissed off and told her that she too has not been satisfied any of my expectations to determine whether she's a marriageable type. She kept quiet and gave me incognito mode for a whole month only for her to return back this time around to resume her attitude of demanding. My last born brother however has been living with me and does all those works for me and doesn't give me stress at all. Instead, she's insisting that when we get married she doesn't want him around in my house. I also noticed that she's doesn't want people around me. She wants herself alone to handle anyone she finds in my life like my family members, friends etc. I tested her one day by asking her for 1k to pay for sth urgent and she quickly knocked it off and diverted topic. I lost my job since last year August and has been doing tailoring job to survive and she's very much aware. Now, I notice that anytime she comes to my house, she comes with lists of demands she writes on paper I must do for her. Sometimes I might work late into the night just to meet my financial target and that's exactly when she wants to see me. And if I take longer time that night to see her, she gets angry and when I still see her that night, it's always fresh sets of demands.
My mind has been telling me a lot of things. But am confused whether it's just me thinking out of point or something else or am blind. I have made commitments towards settling down with her and have even seen her people. I don't know what to do especially on the fact that my people have given me ultimatum that I must marry a woman this year. I agree with the first poster after yours. RUN!!! Run without looking back. Take it from me her fellow lady, you will die before your time. My brother run o. Even your family members are not welcomed? And you are still doing what? Pls run for your dear life |

I don't know if this op is deaf, dumb or blind. Even if he is blind, is he also deaf? How many times have my people publicly come out to declare that we are not part of this protest.
See let me tell you, igbos are super survivors, alpha survivors if you like , Tinubu and his government of hunger is nothing compared to what we Igbos have endured and are still enduring.
Yorubas and their emergency friends the northerners are not better than us in any way. If the world wants to see where this hunger is biting hard, let them take a look at the brown roof republic and the almajiri republic. |
