Science/Technology / Re: What IT Tech Skill Should My 10-year-old Kid Learn? by AdaJollof: 1:38pm On Jul 06, 2022
patthebulb:
What IT tech skill should my 10-year-old kid learn?

Your kid should either learn Graphic design or web development. I enrolled my kid in a program called NextGen. It's an initiative of The Bulb Africa.

Ever since my son joined NextGen, his skills have improved and he has become more focused on his web development. He has developed at least 3 sites that I know of. I think it will be a great experience for your kid.

You can check out their site: https://nextgen.africa/
I'm happy to help!

Programming / Re: Fellowship At The Bulb: What Is It About & join the Software Engineering Program by AdaJollof: 5:07pm On Mar 16, 2022
I have enrolled in the Fellowship program and it is legit.

The program clearly states its payment plan. You either pay upfront, or you enroll through their financial aid/career bond option.

After your 4 or 6 months of training (depending on your course), you will be offered an internship opportunity or given a job. From there, you have a 2 - 3 year plan to pay back your career bond. See the website for more information on the payment plan - https://fellowship.thebulb.africa/courses

The laptop is given to all Fellows for the duration of their training which they may either buy-back after the training or return it.
All these are clearly stated on the website's FAQ page @joshmoy

Hi,
Have you heard of NEXT GEN AFRICA?

NextGen is an online program by The Bulb Africa that provides beginners knowledge in Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Scratch, and Graphics Design. I had one of my kids learning Scratch on Next Gen, and it has been a productive one.

Created for children between the ages of 7 and 17, the program provides a personalized and gamified learning experience using a tailored syllabus for young learners that allows them to learn what they need at their own pace in a fun manner.

This should be there website;
