I don't think it's promiscuity that causes this whole "baby daddy, mama" issues... It's simply a case of convenience most times. For instance we have young men who can have kids without the supposed bondage of "marriage",they are fathers without all the negativity of marriage including hindrance and financial responsibility to her entire family... He just has to be responsible for his child plus the added bonus of still being single... Then you have a young lady who can fufil her maternal role without the labor and commitment of a marriage, no in laws or the issue of being cheated on or beaten to a pulp by her "husband"...she doesn't have to give up her youth plus the added bonus of financial security...its simply a case of eating your cake and having it... Marriage doesn't seem so appealing anymore plus you can now get the perks of it free of responsibility... I disagree that the kids suffer any sort of psych damage to continue the cycle tho, after all the baby mamas and daddies all grew up with married parents...
