KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide an enterprise IT architectural blueprint which outlines the organizing logic for applications, data and infrastructure technologies enabling technical leadership in the analysis, decision-making and design of applications to maximize business requirements support.
 Ensure the upkeep of an applications-architectural blueprint mapping business architecture to the current systems environment
 Define the future state IT environment aimed and supporting business growth objectives and corporate strategy
 Participate in the selection of new applications providing comparison of potential solutions with enterprise IT standards
 Participate in software selection and support ensuing negotiation processes with 3rd party vendors and systems integrators
 Assess current IT capabilities and conduct gap analysis to identify underdeveloped areas
 Seek innovative IT solutions, identify current industry practices and act as the resident expert in the technology forefront
 Final sign-off of hardware and software releases in the context of change management process and maintain the appropriate versioning records

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide finance and planning support to all ITG groups in areas such as investment decisions, budgeting, resource planning and 3rd party supplier control
 Budget planning encompassing capital, operational expenditure, and salary costs amongst others
 Monitor budget-execution levels reporting any variances to Head, GW ITS and other bank stakeholders
 Provide budget execution related reports to other finance functions as required
 Develop financial models and criteria used to evaluate alternative IT investments
 Assist in the development of business cases supporting the funding of IT projects and perform project profitability analysis after implementation
 Plan approved initiatives in cooperation with Architects, Vendor Managers, Service Delivery Managers
 Manage IT staff and project portfolio roster recording current IT staff utilization levels in the projects under execution
 Estimate staffing needs and compare with expected activity levels flagging eventual headcount gaps
 Monitor 3rd party invoicing and deliverables as to contract adherence suggesting corrective actions
 Create and maintain a “dashboard” of financial / non-financial metrics that can be used whether IT is providing effective and efficient services to business areas (e.g. balanced scorecard)
 Definition of IT chart of accounts
 Break down IT costs into defined categories e.g. consumption based (variable technology usage: telecomm, data center,, ), project based (initiatives) and infrastructure based (fixed cost: network infrastructure,, )
 Identify ITS cost drivers
 Design and maintain reporting / data gathering process as input for scorecard
 Define and monitor performance management framework
