What we can safely say is that Konduga's statement painted a picture of a relatively benign gang (compared to the real Boko Haram) whose crimes were never in the same league as a suicide bombing of the UN building.

Remember that Konduga NEVER claimed he'd ever used the Abu Qaqa identity. He claimed to have called himself 'Al Zawahiri', remember?

He was not convicted for killing anybody. He was convicted for sending threatening text messages and being a member of Boko Haram.

Sorry to break the hearts of the bigots and racists among us, but  the meaning of Naira name is Shinning, glittering. It is not a very uncommon name of a female Muslim. We all know that Nigerians are predominantly Moslims, so the islamic influence in some of this matters is not suprising given the point in history when the currency was named.

I can see that some unrepentant biafran cry babies have found another sorry excuse for self pity
