PoliticsRe: Jonathan Snubbed At Mandela's Memorial by adaye: 9:52pm On Dec 10, 2013
South African presidents and S.africans in general have inherited Mandela's anger at Nigeria but the joke is on them.

Mandela, though credited with ending apartheid sold out the very people he was fighting for at the last minute, as former wife Winnie rightly said.

Blacks are are still economically disenfranchised, still make up the predominate ratio of the underclass, hiv/aids hasn't let lost its grip on their communities.

Whites on the other hand still control the natural mineral resources, they still control military apparatus and nuclear arsenal. They remain upwardly empowered economically and a strong racist undertone is still evident in their society.

Mandela, though he fought hard for his people, still gave up in the end and he got his due bowl porridge for his co operation.

Mandela is loved by the white man because he could have been another Mugabe but he refused to go against his captors plans for a new international Order.

This is what many people esp. South africans are too blind to see.

Sorry to burst your bubble but you obviously have no clue about what you are talking about. Mandela did the right. An overnight attempt to wrest the means of production from the whites would have led to capital flight and a collapse of the economy. He began a gradual Reformation which is ongoing and will take at least 3 more decades to achieve some semblance of equality. Mugabe your hero only did the takeover when his stay in power was shaky and needed populist support from the blacks to remain in power. The question you should ask yourself is what state is Zimbabwe in today? A total shambles as a result of the afforementioned capital flight. The good thing is that successive leaders mbeki and Zuma have continued the transformation. Up Madiba!
I am tired of all these unimaginative only in China crap. These anomalies happen everywhere in the world. China may have a higher incident rate due to larger population but does not make it peculiar. Do some research and post based on knowledge so this forum will be of more use.

CareerRe: Can Resignation Letter(s) Be Rejected by adaye: 9:25am On Sep 28, 2013
Fazhy: YES, If the boss wants to punish you. He will then fire you. It will be on record that you are sacked from your last place of work.
Sorry but not true. Every resignation letter has an effective date. Your employer must respond (accept or reject) prior to that date. A non response is acceptance and the employee is free to leave on that date since he has formally notified his employer. The employer can only reject if the notice voids the employment contracts notice period or the employee is under investigation for fraud/theft. Should this not be the case and the employer rejects the resignation only to fire the employee without cause the employee can reject the termination and leave.

Thanks
PhonesRe: What Do People Say About Your TECNO Phone? by adaye: 7:43am On Sep 28, 2013
fabulousfortune: I get ashamed too o. Maybe i go use dis sticker thingy sef!
These kind of comments stem from a lack of confidence. What does it matter if it is techno or lg or whatever. Does it suit or needs? Is it reliable? I currently use an n9 as my tab alongside a HTC jetstream and a phantom f7 alongside my lg optimus vu for telephony and am equally proud of both sets. In fact after the lovely experience with my techno devices and in depth handling of the infinix alpha I am going that route all the way.

Phones are not status symbols dude. U can only use a phone to impress shallow people.

Over and out.
I'm not in support of bb so why the comparison? why not compare tecno to othet android products? when u do u will figure out on ur own why tecno is a counterfeit
How is tecno a counterfeit when compared to other android phones? U guys need to stop puffing illicit substances so u can think straight. I used the n7 as my primary telephony device for 5 months and upgraded to the phantom and it has been a seamless experience with both. The objective truth is that the 30k the phantom goes for no device from the industry leaders will give u similar specs. Not one from Nokia,Sammy,lg etc. So why the hate? The only time techno falls short in certain areas (pixellation, ram and camera quality) is when compared to flagships from these. As a phone enthusiast who has over the past 23 months used a storm 2, bold 4, xperia arc s, SG2 a HTC hd7 and now a LG optimus vu2 alongside the aforementioned techno devices, I can tell u that performance in terms of speed(opening apps, multitasking) and ui interface are on a par. In fact I only bought my n7 to have a first hand experience and was pleasantly surprised. I would advice people go out of their way to carry out real life comparisons before espousing biased opinions.

And note so called benchmark tests don't mean better performance in real life.

I CAN NEVER USE A TECNO..

EVERY TOM AND STELLA OWNS DIS PRODUCT..

BEFOR U THROW ONE LEG, U DON SEE LIKE 6PIPZ WITH TECNO..

SAME REASON I NEVER GET ABA CLOTHS...

Another dumbass. I wonder why some people don't think before posting. Apart from the irrelevance of your comments it shows that you speak before thinking. Your comments that every tom and Stella own a techno can also be said of blackberry and Samsung and nokia. Most people own a Bob and Sammy is arguably the most popular/common phone now in Nigeria especially within the smartphone category. Further more most uses of these brands do not own the flagships but devices that are more in the price range of tecno. It would have been better you state or dislike for the product based on performance or specs.also the fact that u are using an s3 or HTC one does not make you an ellite when compared to someone using a techno flagship. It is all about choice. The days when phones were used as status symbols are dead. Unless of course for the small minded minority.
u and ur write up, are a JOKE... make i no laff sha.....lwkmh... tenko indeed...
It is a pity that dense individuals like you are allowed to post on this forum. If u cannot comprehend the write up why not seek clarification. The point I am simply making is that any discerning or knowledgeable phone user knows that the difference in performance between the industry leaders and new but recognized entrants like tecno, gionee etc when compared against devices in the same class is marginal. I have owned and used an s2, xperia s, HTC hd7 and I am currently using an lg optimus vu2 (if u have heard of it) as well as used an n7 and infinix race eagle as secondary phones as well as going out of my way to handle other devices so I am in a position to speak having compared these devices side by side.

Armchair analysts like u simply join a bandwagon, post unintelligentky without factual basis based on bias. The purpose of this forum is to enlighten and exchange opinions. Have u handled any of the flagships from huawei, tecno or gionee? If u have please give me specifics where they fall far short of the industry leaders. It is only because you don't have knowledge of history that you are so dismissive. Where was Samsung, lg and co a little over a decade ago when it was all about Alcatel, sagem etc. To buttress the main thrust of my previous post and please do try to let it sink in is that Samsung and lg etc are not Ferraris where tecno ,infinix, meitzu, gionee etc are. They are all makers of standard phones with lg and co having some edge in certain areas of specs. This cannot even be said for huawei and meitzu as intelligent and discerning users on this forum will corroborate.

Please try to comprehend.

Over and out.

kayswag100: How long will it take these people to stop comparing Samsung and Tecno? Pls handle both phones physically and you will know the difference.
A KIA has the daily features of Ferraris but can you compare the two just because they get you where you want to be? Huuuuh!!!!!!!

I'm tired meeeeeeeeeeeen
Your analogy is flawed. Samsung is not a Ferrari where huawei or tecno is. While you can't compare a kia to a Ferrari, you can compare a Hyundai genesis to a BMW 5 series and the grandeur to a 7 series. The point is techno/huawei etc have caught up with the established names in the smartphone industry. The diff in their flagships do not justify your premise. I have owned the s2 and handled the s3 and S4 as well as the phantom A and Aplus and as an avid phone enthusiast I can tell u the margin is minimal (mainly screen pixellation) ROM and camera quality. You can say as much for gray Chinese brands but not for Samsung against techno which is establishing itself as major brand and is well on a par with. The best in terms of build quality, after sales service etc. In the next decade these brands will be the industry leaders as the natural effect of competitive advantage increases their revenue freeing more money for Rand D just like it did for Samsung av decade ago.

Thank you

P.s. I do not currently own a techno phone but as a phone enthusiast feel compelled to give an objective evaluation when commenting on devices after handling them.

4llerbuntu: i no understand y puskin just wont close this thread.

now i see people talking about assets.... strange.

if i may ask why do u not use a nokia torchlight phone then? what applies to u as a T user applies to the torchlight user too.

secondly it seems im missing something here. i see lots n lots of devices that have a resale value years after they were made. infact a whole market thrives on "london-used" phones.

i have never seen chinese phones in this way. maybe because they are not used in the uk cheesy and also maybe because they simply do not last that long...

if i buy a 65k s3 i know that next year i can sell it for 30-35k and add up just another 30k to buy another phone of that price range. over time i spend less because it has a resale value. moreover for a touchscreen phone with features like scratch resistant gorrila glass its gonna look good still.

if i buy a 35k china phone and subject it to the exact same use as d s3 it has no resale value. the screen would be long scratched up n gone. the low quality battery n parts dead.

who is being thrifty here? smh. u pple just dont get it

Its still the same thing. You can buy the 35k china phone as u call it and sell it for 15k a year later. U can then add another 15 k to buy another with improved specs. The so called China phones like techno, gionee etc are creating a favourable impression quality wise and performance wise and so retain some retail value. I believe the issue of no retail value can be said of the non certified/gray label brands.

Also note that should you sell or s3 for 35k you will need to shell out at least 50k for the current flagship as they debut at around 85k up. In all from a discerning buyer or budget minded perspective the recognized "chinko" brands have an edge.

Thank you.

Networkmaster: In Advance Human-Computer Interaction, science have tried and still trying to improve the communication between machines and human but the interaction is always going to be limited. This is basically because computers can not think for themselves.

Therefore, machines can never replace human daily duties when it comes to interaction.

Science have really advanced to the extent that when a human and computer are placed in different rooms and are asked to communicate, the human often mistake the computer with human due to the advance voice technology and the programmed memory of the computer.
Good point. However the field will keep advancing. First programmers will be able to program much wider range of responses to cover most scenerios. Finally we will develop AI and with that the possibilities are endless and also frightening. The science fiction of yesterday has become reality. As a sci fi but I always hail these landmarks.

Kamaye: @Adaye, did you just said N7 is a great phone at that price(30k)? okay what can you say about M of 13k that has the same specs(except for the screen size) with the N7, dual core cpu, 512 ram, 4gb rom, 5mp camera. tecno M3 has an even better gaming experience becouse it has a better GPU (Mali 400) as against the SGX531 on the N7. fact is N7 is over priced you should centered ur arguiment on phantom A+ only. grin
It was 30k when I purchased it. Currently goes for 26-27k. Still great considering the screen estate(which matters to me and all big screen aficionados). The n7 was just used to illustrate my satisfaction with a techno smartphone which I used extensively.

Thank you

im currently on a gionne elife 5 for 56grand... tecno is no where close to this beast, talk more of sammy 3... of 60 grand....
Please reread. I did not even compare the n7 with the s3! My point and it baffles me that this can't be comprehended is that the average or discerning buyer may not fork out an extra 30-40 k for the differences/higher specs between say the f7 and the s3 or other flagship device from the industry leaders.

caukerzee: Do what I'm think be just what you are saying? Just to be clear, you said the difference in specs between an S3 and whatever techno you are talking about is minimal. And according to you specs doesn't always relate to performance do in summary , whatever tecno you're talking about could just be better than an S3huhhuhhuh?? LOL......you need to quit smoking grin grin grin
I advice you read posts carefully before replying . I did not say any techno was better than an S3. However I posited that at a 40 k difference the difference between the S3 and the techno mainly in areas of pixellation (camera and screen) can be considered minimal. I have handled both and speak from side by side comparison. Build quality for both and performance using speed of opening identical apps, touch sensitivity etc is on a par and the techno comes with case, power bank etc which will also sway the discerning buyer. Please note that the point here is objectivity. I am currently using a LG optimus vu 2(top of the world) but until recent used an N7 as a secondary device (great phone at its price) and have no plans of getting an F7. As a phone enthusiast however I make an effort to handle various phones so I can speak objectively which is more than what most folks do here.

It would be nice if we rid our minds of bias and form opinions based on facts and actual handling.

roaringlamb01: just?
Objectivity is key when posting on a site that the everyman resorts to for getting info. Apart from the attempt to make a supposed 25k difference trivial in a country where minimum wage is below 20k, the fact is that the S3 is not available at that amount. It still goes for between 75-85k (promos inclusive). The difference is more like 40k and at that price the differences in specs can be considered minimal. As an avid phone enthusiast I can tell that specs do not always translate to better performance.

Thank you

4k difference is about the "brand freak"?

The diff is not 4k.in pH the grand duos goes for 55k. The phantom is 35-37k. U are looking at a 20K. Difference. Or is the grand duos 39k? Pls tell me where as at that price it is a better deal.

the tecno wins then
PhonesRe: Samsung-Galaxy Tab2 VS Tecno-Phantom Pad N9 by adaye: 10:03am On Aug 06, 2013
The funny thing is that it is wrong to compare the N9 with the GT2 or Samsung with Techno. The tablets are not in the same category size and specs wise as the two firms are also in vastly different categories. Techno is an upcoming mobile device maker and can best be appreciated when compared with other new branded makes in the market. Their devices especially new offerings like the N7,F7 and the N9 tab are great buys at the prices offered. However it would be unfair to overlook the fact that the offerings from the industry leaders Samsung etc are superior in areas of screen quality, internal memory etc though not necessarily build quality.

The important consideration for the average buyer should be if these justify the huge gulf in expenditure in choosing between a device by techno over a device from an industry leader like Samsung or LG for example when the techno will perform same tasks capably. I currently use a galaxy note 10.1 and a N9 and can state that while the note 10.1 has a better UI, higher pixellation, screen protection etc, the N9 matches it in terms of speed. Web page loading and app loading are virtually the same as I have compared side by side and the n9 has never lagged or freezes in my 4 weeks of usage. In addition the shortcomings in its ui and screen quality are really noticable only to the discerning user. Build quality for both devices is impeccable.

The bottom line is that devices made by samsung ,lg etc have higher specs in certain areas and have superior user interfaces (due to modification of the stock android interface) and should be at their prices. Techno and co however offer cheaper alternatives that may lack certain features (which will not be missed by then average user) but still get the job done. The endless comparison is unnecessary as they are not yet competitors. They cater to different consumer demographics. They both make good products for their target market. Buyers should however always consider two things - need and budget. My closure is this- with my experience with the n9 at 36,500 will I buy say a galaxy note at 85,000. Probably not as the gulf in pricing does not justify the specs difference in the two for a discerning user like me.

Thank you.

klens: you said before you have been using ur N9 for over Two weeks rather than your Laptop because of Multiple OTG, who else have confirmed what adeye has been posting, or is he the only one using N9,are you one of the Tecno agent? same thing happened during infinix Race bolt, now 1.5 Terabyte HD, pen drives, very soon external DVD drive and projector.
I believe the essence of this forum is to inform users and especially give real life usage scenerios. I restate that the N9 accepts OTG and can be used with a multi port USb which is readily available from any major computer accessory dealer. I am in my 3rd week plus of using my N9 alone as previously stated. As I post my 1.5 TB is connected as it is once I step into the office till my exit. I can easily transfer files to and fro using my file manager app. No lag no freezes etc.

The reason I guess no one can confirm/refute my statements is probably because rather than test for themselves people prefer to make statements on assumptions not fact. I bought my OTG cable and multi port without knowing the N9 could support it and was pleasantly surprised. I would advice owners who are interested in OTG functionality to take the plunge and verify for themselves. Would be owners could inquire from major dealer who should be able to corroborate.

Thank you

Over and out.

Hi all. Like I earlier posted th e N9 does support OTG. I use it on a daily basis in my office. Due to this feature I have not used my laptop in two weeks.

Let me clarify on the multi port OTG. I connected a 3 port USB extension to my OTG cable and so can connect a keyboard and mouse to my tab which allows me to do serious work with it. The 3 port extension cost me 1,000 in port Harcourt while the OTG was 700. It can be obtained at Ogunabali which is our own computer village.

klens: What stephenude was saying about this Tecno N9 is true, apart from the fact he made mistake on dual sim. People dont want to learn that's what i hate.they think tecno is offering them Smart phones at a cheaper rate not knowing they are been cheated with their outdated software that lacks OTA update, if you need OTA update you only buy their newly release.use to be a tecno fan till i tried other chines brand,i have use all Tecno smart phone, always among the first to Buy in my state, lucky to sell my a week old f7 30k withot powerbank, even created that f7 Thread till my eyes open. Ask urself this question are you Buying the N9 as a Tab or a mere android Phone,if yes does it support USB on the go (OTG), External keyboard, wireless keyboard, game pad,Bluetooth data Transmission,HDMI, modem, etc.i guess thats what a Tab is meant for not as the same feature with Android phones. The Tab Stephenude mentioned above i have use most of them and that is what im currently selling now with keyboard, some even cheaper than N9 Tab
I am currently using the techno tab and I have to correct some of the assertions above. Firstly the battery life for the tab is excellent and lasts more than a day of fairly heavy usage. I have used mine to watch a 3 hour movie and browsed for 2 hours on a full charge and still had a 40% charge. In fact i have used my ereader for 2 hours on a 24% charge browsed for an hour and still had an 11% charge.

Furthermore the tablet supports OTG. I have a multi port OTG which works perfectly with my keyboard and mouse at the same time.

I would appreciate if posters will take time to actually handle a device prior to posting as many users of this forum rely on information obtained here to guide them in making purchases.
