Sojizulu:It’s not a forceful takeover, part of the statement announced by Bayo Onanuga stated as follows: “To prevent a leadership vacuum at the commission, the President directed Ramat to assume office in an acting capacity pending Senate screening, in line with legal provisions.“ Garba Ramat has acted in full compliance with the instructions contained in the statement of appointment, in order to prevent a vacuum. |
DitariIzon:Stop embarrassing the innocent child. By displaying the picture, you seem to seek public perspective about resemblance, which is quite striking, regardless of the different complexions , despite the fact the DNA’s confirmation. When he grows up he won’t like it. |
TrioVibes:It’s fake news, no other news outlets have carried it. It appears only on Nairaland. It is a propaganda from amateur ADC/ Obidient axes. It’s dead on arrival. Due consultations were made and acceptance of the appointment gotten, before it was made public. |
Freshtruth:Wake up and smell the coffee. It’s not mathematically possible for Peter Obi to win because he doesn’t have the number, due to his geographical area of influence. What I think he is hoping for is if there is a split of total votes between Tinubu and Atiku, such that would place him ahead or a stalemate that would force negotiations in his favour. |
Smartjeezy01:What about Tinubu/Aliko Dangote ticket in the 2027 Presidential elections? |
blamingthedevil:Governor Adeleke has agreed personal terms with Osun APC, granted permission by the Osun PDP to undergo his medical at the Aso Rock Villa, pending formalization of agreement by both political parties. HERE WE GO |
fuckingAyaya:Did Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, who even fought a war that claimed three million lives of Igbo people, not contest the 2003 presidential elections as the candidate of APGA? Even before then, did Ojukwu not declare for President, after he was pardoned and returned from exile in 1983? |
mrrandomguy:The logic is that if Nnamdi Kanu is released and joins the 2027 presidential race, he would attract huge followership in the south east and render Peter Obi politically irrelevant, much to the delight of the APC. Obi would become a liability to the ADC, as well as any other political parties. It’s a strategy to force him to decline Atiku’s VP offer and contest as a presidential candidate. |
sleek214:APC does not need to panic over Atiku/Obi’s ticket. All that is needed is to make sure that another formidable Igbo man, In the mould of Rochas Okorocha, Chimaroke Nnamani, etc is sponsored and sufficiently funded to contest the 2027 presidential elections, on platform of the Labour Party, to block the Igbo votes that could have gone to Peter Obi, had it been that he contested as a presidential candidate. This is because It’s almost certain that the South East would not vote for Tinubu. It’s better to waste their votes. |
Melezenawii:In 2006, Peter Gregory Obi CON (born 19 July 1961) was a member of APGA, when he served as the Governor of Anambra State three separate times from 2006 to 2014. On the 7th October 2014 he DEFECTED to the PDP and on the 27th May 2022, he also DEFECTED again to the Labour Party and became the candidate for President of Nigeria in the 2023 presidential election. But because he and the opposition coalition are now at the receiving end, defection has become an anathema. |
KillahPriest:But he was a 3rd Republic political contemporary of Tinubu, Atiku and Kwankwaso and still possesses more electoral value than the last two northerners, nationwide. Atiku too would be 81 by 2027, they are age mates. He is also a Kanuri from the North East and a seamless replacement for Shettima. |
Congratulations to Nigeria, congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, congratulations to CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi. Slowly but surely, the chicken is finally coming home to roost, the entire world has ultimately taken notice of President Tinubu’s bold socioeconomic reforms. Nigeria shall be great. |
For the 2027 Presidential elections, Tinubu can remove Kashim Shettima and replace him with Ambassador Babagana Kingibe, who commands larger followership and is more respected in the entire north than any of Atiku, Shettima, or Rabiu Kwankwaso. He is not only from the North East, but he is also a Kanuri like Shettima. It would also heal some of the old wounds inflicted by the annulment of the June 12th 1993 presidential elections. Kingibe is a long-time household name. This would be a massive masterstroke and a reenactment of Abiola/ Kingibe ticket. Tinubu/Kingibe ticket can be taken to the bank. O sure ju. O ti lo far. |
agulion:It has been discovered from your previous posts that you are neither a Yoruba nor a Muslim. See two of your throwbacks that have exposed you below: 1. You all know that we have succeeded in dividing the Yorubas into two types of people, and Muric made our work more easier for us, so now we must learn to use one type of Yoruba against the other, especially using the Yoruba Muslims who are inferior Muslims to cause comfussion among them. 2. Ronu Muslims are very wicked. For your information, Yoruba is a very tolerant and accommodating tribe where you can find a large number of both Muslims and Christians living together as members of the same family. No amount of your divisiveness can separate them. They celebrate Sallah and Christmas together. You can be a Muslim today and decide to be a Christian tomorrow, without any backlash. It’s the most peaceful tribe in Nigeria. |
Mrexcell:The basic objective of a political party is to contest, win elections and form the government. Presidential elections are decided in Nigeria, based on the following facts: 1. Majority of Northerners consider religion when voting. 2. Majority of Igbos don’t vote for Muslims, except if all major contenders are Muslims. 3. Majority of Yorubas consider tribal inclination, when voting, regardless of religion. 4. South south too consider religion. In 2023 Presidential elections, the Muslim/ Muslim ticket was more of a winning formula than religious supremacy, because of the population of the Muslims in Nigeria. |
THE BENEFITS OF THE ELECTRICITY DECENTRALIZATION ARE AS FOLLOWS: 1. IMPROVED EFFICIENCY AND RESPONSIVENESS. State governments can respond more quickly to local power needs and challenges. Reduces bureaucratic delays common with centralized control. 2. ENHANCED INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES States can attract independent power producers (IPPs) and other investors. More localized projects like mini-grids and renewable energy systems become viable. 3. BETTER ACCOUNTABILITY Citizens can hold their state governments more accountable for electricity supply. Transparency is easier to enforce at a smaller, regional scale. 4. CUSTOMISED ENERGY SOLUTIONS States can adopt energy solutions based on their natural resources (e.g., solar in the North, hydro in the South). Allows for innovation and tailored approaches to energy generation and distribution. 5. JOB CREATION AND ECONOMIC GROWTH Local energy projects generate employment and stimulate state-level economic activity. Stable electricity supply supports small businesses and industrialization. 6. REDUCES PRESSURE ON THE NATIONAL GRID Encourages the development of state-based grids and off-grid systems. Less dependence on the fragile national transmission infrastructure. |
lastmessenger:Do you think Israel is a Christian country, now read this: Horrific night in the West Bank: Israeli settlers are currently attacking the Christian village of Taybeh, near Ramallah—setting homes on fire and shooting at residents. How about that? |
Bobloco:It’s too late. It doesn’t change anything. He is already the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Insha Allah, he would be re-elected in 2027. |
wizelink:The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), under the leadership of the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar, said it is deeply pained by the spate of gruesome killings and bloodletting in parts of Benue State, where scores of innocent and defenseless citizens have been massacred. While it appreciates the efforts of security agencies to curtail violence and conflicts, the Islamic group expressed displeasure at their often reactive posture. “It has become a recurring pattern for security operatives to arrive only after the damage has been done,” JNI said in a statement signed by its Secretary General, Khalid Aliyu. “Such act emboldens the perpetrators and dampens the morale of innocent citizens. Security must be intelligence-driven, proactive, and prompt if we are to avert future recurrences, which is invariably becoming normalised,” Mr Aliyu, a professor, said. |
shox:Why is it that it’s always one sided, when it comes to the issue of religion in our country. When this same Eboyin state Governor Francis Nwifuru sponsored 300 Christian pilgrims, in February 2025, with public funds, heavens did not fall. Nobody condemned him or called for the scrapping of the Christian’s pilgrimage commission. Let’s be tolerant. |
blamingthedevil:Amin. Oko Oba, ADA Oba ko ni sha wa lese o. A ni rin nijo tebi npona o. |
hisexcellency34:As of 2025, Nigeria holds the position as the largest economy in Africa in terms of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This is primarily due to: 1. Its large population (over 220 million people), 2. Vast natural resources, especially oil and gas, 3. A growing services sector (including telecommunications and finance), 4. Expanding tech and entertainment industries (like Nollywood and fintech). South Africa is also a major economic power on the continent, with a more diversified and industrialized economy, but Nigeria generally ranks higher in nominal GDP. |
LordBiden:If you are supporting Israel because of Christianity, sorry to disappoint you. The religious affiliation of the Israeli population as of 2022 was 73.6% Jewish, 18.1% Muslim, 1.9% Christian, and 1.6% Druze. The remaining 4.8% included faiths such as Samaritanism and Baháʼí, as well as "religiously unclassified". As you can see, the population of Muslims is by far more than the Christians, only a very minute percentage of Israelis are Christians. |
PheelzAlmighty:Divided loyalty. Double shuffle. It indicates that his constant and relentless criticisms of Peter Obi is personal and not in the interest of the nation. Tinubu should be wary of people like Reno Omokri and Daniel Bwala, they are double agents. Obe mejeji. |
Ikaeniyan0:Did you know that the President General of the Igbo apex Socio-Cultural Organization, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, John Azuta-Mbata is not from Igbo land. He is from Ikwerre and the Ikwerres have vehemently declared that they are NOT igbo. We now have a situation where someone who is not an igbo man is the head of the igbos. |
yyba:Don’t mind them. It’s now confession time. The chicken has finally come home to roost. Peter Obi would have removed the fuel subsidy and also floated the Naira, allowing market forces to determine its value, but he would have invested the proceeds in Anambra State Brewery, or better still, Nigerian Brewery Ltd, to increase the contributions of drunkards to the National GDP. |
UncleBabafemi:Weep not child. Tinubu is the master of grassroots politics in Nigeria. Tinubu is not in anyway similar to Goodluck Jonathan. Tinubu won the APC 2022 presidential primary elections, despite the fact that the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari, Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, among others did not support him. He won the general elections in 2023, in spite of the artificial scarcity of fuel and naira notes, meant to truncate his success. Imagine that kind of person now being in power, with INEC, CBN, Judiciary, Police, Military , etc taking instructions from him. Khaki no be leather. |
OneCandleAway:Women are treated better in Islam than even in some tribes in Nigeria. For instance, under the Igbo customary inheritance system, the female child and widows have no right to inherit as is held in Mojekwu v. Mojekwu (1997). A daughter can only inherit where she opts to remain unmarried and stay in her father's house with a view of birthing sons in her father's name. |
Twemi:Nobody has threatened Oseni Rufai, good work is like a golden fish which has no hiding place. Even the hardest of the critics would eventually admit it, when it becomes very obvious for all to see. This would go a long way to indicate that he is being objective and that his criticisms are not in bad faith. |
shortgun:We gained the borrowed robe of the largest economy based on superficial indices, despite the fact that the minister of Finance as at then, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Publicly admitted that Nigeria was insolvent and too import-dependent. |
SarkinYarki:In spite of your claim that Emefiele was used, be reminded that he dubiously acquired 753 duplexes. What would have happened if he was not used? |
