Slytiger:The 200,000 bpd BUA Petroleum refinery, which is worth $3.5 billions, is located in Ibeno local government of Akwa-Ibom State |
Agbegbaorogboye:The next Fubara Therapy for Sanwoolu and the 40 Lagos State legislooters. Sanwoolu should start preparing his HANDING-OVER notes. He is a wolf in sheep clothing. Forgiveness of betrayal is a sin. He is part of the opposition coalition. He did not support the Muslim/Muslim ticket. Having lost the financial backing of the South-South Governors, who have pledged their unflinching loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the opposition coalition now heavily relies on Sanwoolu, as their ATM, through Aisha Achimugu. |

masterfactor:Exactly my point. I don’t subscribe to this turn-by-turn presidency, I think the best candidate should win fair and square. Let’s assume Nigeria is like a terribly sick patient on life support, does it need the most effective treatment or turn-by-turn treatment, regardless of the competence of the physicians. In 1993, Moshood Abiola defeated Bashir Tofa, a northerner, without zoning. In 2023, Bola Ahmed Tinubu defeated Atiku, a northerner, without zoning. In 2008, Barack Obama, a black man, defeated John McCain, a white man, without zoning. I think what we need now is the best around, to enhance socio-economic development, peace, progress and prosperity, not a chop-I-chop arrangement. |
The enrollment of the Almajiris into the Tsangaya schools should be integrated into and monetized under the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Program, whereby the amount of money given to eligible beneficiaries should be based on the number of out-of-school children they brought for registration and the length of time they stay in school. The Tsangaya and other out of school children should also be put under.the National Home Grown School Feeding Program (NHGSFP) to enjoy three meals per day. |
Baawaa:Davido is right. He is not a full blooded Yoruba man. He is half Ibo and half Yoruba. According to their family history, his paternal grandmother was Ibo and his father was born in Enugu. |
The name of the 2023 APC Governorship candidate for Adamawa state is conspicuously missing. I think the reconciliatory gesture should be extended to Hajia Aisha Binani as well, although I learnt that she supported Atiku, during the presidential election. |
lexy2014:It’s typical of Nigerian businessmen to form trade clusters of their tribesmen in certain locations. For example, If you go to automobile spare parts locations like Ladipo, Trade Fair, Alaba, Idumota, etc , you will see people from the South East. If you go to Cattle or foodstuffs locations like Kara, Agege, Mile 12,etc, you meet people from the North. |
zero8zero:If the recruitment’s are done, and the ranches located according to the number of local governments, the program will get to the grassroots and decongest the urban areas because a lot of people will go back home to participate at their local government of origin. Inflation will reduce drastically as well as rate of unemployment. A lot of people are stranded in Lagos, wandering aimlessly. |
The bill should be about the provision of incentives to persuade registered voters to vote, considering the following: Total number of registered voters- 93million Total number of actual votes. - 25million The difference is 68million. How many correctional facilities can accommodate and feed 68million people which does not even include number of adults who did not register to vote. |
Adexgentle005:The IMF loan was taken to support the Federal Government economic deficits, during the Covid-19 pandemic era and prevent the economy from going into recession. |
It’s this same Pat Utomi who could not even manage Bank PHB successfully that wants to rule the whole of Nigeria. Utomi ran a failed attempt for presidency of Nigeria in 2011. In 2021, Patito and the Gang also failed with the formation of a new political opposition ahead of the 2023 Nigerian general elections. He is a serial failure and is set to bite the dust again. |
ElSudani:Congratulations Nigerians. At last, we have turned a corner, passed the critical stage and now on the upward trajectory of developing our economy on a solid footing. We have left Egypt, passed the Red Sea, as well as the Rubicon. The benefits of the economic reforms like removal of fuel subsidies, harmonization of the exchange rates, etc will now become more visible for all to see. Kudos to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. |
Burob:Don’t get me wrong. Please refer to my previous postings on Nairaland, I don’t oppose President Tinubu. What I’ve done is a critical analysis of what transpired then and how Atiku made a calamitous error. |
Moroccoguy:I think his greatest mistake was in 2003, during the PDP tsunami that swept away five Alliance for Democracy Governors, Atiku was the hatchet man to do the job, he spared only Tinubu, because he was his political ally and Tinubu later became his nemesis. At that time, it was very easy to rig elections. If he had eliminated Tinubu then, it would have adversely affected his political trajectory and maybe we would not be having a President Tinubu now. He has forgotten that in politics, war or love, all is fair. |
Putindbutt:The Oracle has spoken. When the lion roars in the jungle, every other animal would scamper for safety. It’s a vocal declaration of finality. Tinubu is not only the President, he is also the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as well as a grassroots politician. He is totally different from any of the previous Presidents before him. That’s why the Coalition, still in a quandary, will give birth to a stillborn baby. |
PlasmaTV:Now, let’s consider these common sense facts, at least in Nigeria: 1. Muslims can legally marry four wives. 2. Some Northern state Governors sponsor mass weddings, for Muslims. 3. Some wealthy Muslims marry more than four wives. 4. On the other hand, Christianity allows only one wife, for better for worse, even if she is barren. 5. Catholic Priests are not allowed to marry. 6. Majority of LGBT are Christians. 7. Family-Planning is prevalent among Christians/ southerners. In view of the above, which religion has the tendency to grow more. |
Emekaonline:Assuming that I accept your analogy that Aregbesola will lose woefully, he does not need to win anywhere but if he is able to play the spoiler and take a sizable chunk, let’s say 3 million, off Tinubu’s traditional votes, Tinubu may get the spread but unable to win the majority votes and if this happens, a re-run will take place. Tinubu will be left with no option than to negotiate with the Aregbesola’s party |
press9jatv:In as much as I want Tinubu to win in 2027, I think the situation may be a bit dicey because Tinubu is not considered as a mainstream Muslim by the northern Muslims and with Aregbesola, reciting the Holy Quran fluently at campaigns, there may a huge shift of allegiance. Tinubu is unlikely capable of dislodging Peter Obi among Nigerian Christians largely because of religious sentiments and his cult- followership among the youths. The Yorubas may be indifferent between Tinubu and Aregbesola, and this may hugely impact Tinubu’s electoral fortunes negatively. It’s still a long night. |
press9jatv:I knew this would happen because I once suspected that Aregbesola was El-Rufai’s initial choice for the 2023 presidential election, before he was prevailed upon to support Tinubu. Now, they may wish to sponsor him to divide Tinubu’s support base in the North (being a staunch Muslim) and South West (being a Yoruba man). If that happens, Tinubu needs to reach out to the south south and the northern Christians to augment his followership. |

ibechris:What about the following facts behind the figures listed above: 1. Most of the so called GDPs were superficial. 2.Nigeria is an import- dependent economy. 3. Our economy had been largely supported by fuel subsidies and unrealistic exchange rates. 4. We cannot even feed ourselves. 5. Some of these past administrations even borrowed to pay salaries and other current expenditures. 6. As at the time Tinubu came, our debt to revenue ratio was 112:100, which means we were even using debt to pay debt. Tinubu deserves commendations and not condemnation |
While commending the Federal Administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Muhammadu Buhari for the Abuja- Kaduna-Kano Expressway, I wish to direct attention to the error of calculation in the report. 240km + 140 km = 380 km and not 350km as erroneously stated above. |
Enemyofpeace:Please don’t disregard this information. This is the same subtle hint manner the name of the new Group Managing Director/CEO of NNPC, Bayo Bashir Ojulari was dropped into public space, since last year like an unfounded rumour. It’s now official. Take note of this name, Professor Bashir Olalekan will become the next INEC Chairman. |
The same killings initially attributed to Fulani herdsmen and swallowed hook, line and sinker by gullible people because of their mental laziness. Those who sponsor these killings have also perfected the act of using propaganda to link them to the herdsmen who probably do not even have the time or means to access the social media. |
Toluwanise247:Mele Kyari lost out in the power play involving Dangote Refineries by his refusal to extend the crude for naira deal, as directed by the Federal Executive Council. He has also tried to emasculate and frustrate the successful operations of the Dangote Refineries by engaging in unhealthy rivalry instead of complimenting it. He has inadvertently sent wrong signals to foreign investors. |
Xbox2005:Nice gesture from a Peace- loving and cool headed Governor, he has now set the pace for others to follow. He has actually proven that Edo state is indeed the heartbeat of the nation. He has initiated the best move. |
zero8zero:The chicken has now finally come home to roost. This is rich in content, loaded and massive, coming from an unlikely source. It’s the greatest birthday message to the greatest President of the greatest black nation on earth. Nobody, I stand to be corrected, has ever given an eulogy of this magnitude to any Nigerian President in the annals of our great nation. It’s a huge endorsement for the 2027 presidential re- election bid of Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. |
Max24:Don’t mind them, at least one of his childhood friends, Professor Shaffideen Amuwo, has stepped forward to confirm that he actually has a verifiable past. |
anonimi:Thank you very much. Tinubu once asked this question before he became the President. If you say they are herdsmen, where are the cows? Because of our mental laziness, we’re always presumptive and attributing most killings in Nigeria to herdsmen, the same way we easily attribute misfortunes to spiritual attacks by members of family and friends. Where are the cows? |
Salewa97:Happy birthday to the greatest of them all, in good health, abundant wisdom and longevity. The best President we have been fortunate to have. Nigeria shall be great again. |
