Guy, kasala don burst oo. Sky bank in collaboration with my bank, ecobank, is tryn to perform Merlin magic on me oo. My 10k is btw heaven & earth after skybank atm machine deliberately refused to do the ryt thing.I rushed into the bank but i was told that it can only be resolved at my bank,in other words, I am not their customer.Tomorow i go put leg for road and wont come home until i got my money. |
Bravo at thread owner.Your analysis is a great eye opener for me.Just keep me wondering why i never did such analysis all this time that i have been searching for info about fish farming. The truth is,i have done the profit projection many times but i am still surprised how i have always arrived at mouth-watering profit when the math is simple.Once again ,thank you.funny thing is that all those manual sellers wont show up now, they are probably hiding only to show up when an innocent person is looking for a 'lucrative biz'. Anyway, my analysis of POULTRY BIZ still look good.Any advise would be gladly received. |
@FNK all the way, thanks a lot for your support. I will also start small and grow from there ,like you advised. Will definitely start with about 50 broilers ,though i really prefer layer but for now,i will do like 3 rounds of successful broiler production before investing in layers because of layers management which is tougher compared to broiler. |
VULCAN: @fnk, u r right but the disaster stories are more than the successes methinks. Hindsight who is the OP being one eg. I don't see why those who have gone ahead can't drop tips and tricks here based on their own individual experiences. I wonder how come hindsight who had a consultant still had such a bad experience although I have never believed in "consultants" who don't practice what they preach anyway.couldn't agree more.I started following this thread when an ambitious lady started it,she continuous updating us until something went wrong, then some else took over and started telling us about his progress as well until GOD knows what happen,he is yet to say a thing. As much as i love to start this business soon,i am still feeling reluctant.MAY GOD HELP US. |

I am about to start my poultry farm.I planned to start broiler production but some posts in this thread which claimed that marketn broiler is difficult. Please friends,I need your advice.I want to start with 200 broiler first with expansn later. Is it really dificult to get buyers for broiler? I need to know before commitn my hard earned money.Thanks. |
@fnk thanks h got d docs.I will be expectn your contributn to poultry biz.Do let us knw when u are back. |
@davidzfarm your estimatn of 200 per bird as likely profit for 120 broilers cotradict what i learnt earlier.I was told by a practising farmer, when i asked about profit projectn in poultry (broiler ) keepn, that to take a broiler to a standard selling size (in Kg),I should be prepared to spend a feedn cost of 400naira per bed & the selln price is at 1200naira (minimum for non-festive period). So the profit =1200-400=800naira per bed. I didnt include other cost like medicatn but i believe that if my profit projectn analysis is right, then they are well covered.Kindly help me look into my analysis & tell me what i may be getn wrong. Thanks everybody. |
@fink kindly send me the docs.I have been doing a lot of research on how profitable poulry biz could be.I am very happy to meet someone like you.PLEASE SEND IT TO sheriph4real@gmail.com |
I am also planing on large scale commercial farming.I particularly set out to learn the rudiment of poultry farming. So i went to meet a man in ilorin whom i heard owns a farm,I explained my ambition to him & he embraced me.Since then, any time i am lecture-free at school(unilorin),i will go to assist him in his farm.He has a pretty large farm cosisting of about 2000 broiler and 4 large fish ponds. Its my first time of a farm ,and i was in admiration with his farm (thinking that its really big). But he told me that farming expecially poultry & fishery, which he specialized on, is a very lucrative biz.So he said most of our rich men do venture into it,mostly when they are set to retire. Then he decided to show me some of the farms around the place.I was left with my mouth opened when we arrived at one farm with an estimated 250,000 Layers. Many farms around the vicinity has surprisingly large stock aswel.Imagine such multimillion naira investment in such forest (very far from residential area). My perspective that our millionairs dont invest in agro bis changed on that day. |
Self-employment is d way out.Depending on positn in any company is a high risk venture in this country.By Allah's Power,I will probably be a graduate by next year,I may not be in the right positn to make this assertn, but i dont live in d fantasy of seeing myself workn for someone else in any multinationl complex.I have been determined to have a buisnes outlet of my own since my year 2 in the versity and since then, every indicatn has supported the fact that i am right. No wonder i hardly miss a day in the business sectn of NL. |
See as people dey rush d guy.Even scammers self no wan carry last..I pity d guy oo |
fahren: the last time you checked, its either you didnt check properly or you checked a long time ago, ask lufthansa airline if they use biodiesel for aviation fuel or not,yes in nigeria there is no jatropha refinery yet, just like most of nigerias crude oil is exported for refining is how the jatropha fruit is also exported for refining, as for the machine, quote me anywhere, biodiesel powers every standard diesel engines, incase you want to know jatropha has come to stay. go online, make more research.I also intend to go into d biz.I will dig deeper for more info.thanks for the enlightment though i percieve sarcasm.but stil thanks. |
Last time i did my finding ,i was told that ,jatropha as a biofuel is still in the RESEARCH STAGE.Machine has not been designed with Engine that can be powered by jatropha oil.So we need to be sure of its practicability before jumpn.I wuld welcome ur argument on this. |
Seem a red card + P.k isnt enuf ,oboi chelski stuborn ooo.Platini wht next. |

I have followed this thread from from start till now,so i am very much interested in poultry farming but i have no knowledge or experience except those gained from the good people of this thread. So i need a real practical oriented trainning on poultry farming. Also i would be very glad if i can lay my hand on a manual so as to be able to read enough pending the time i would see someone to take me up on the practical aspect.Great people of this thread, please i beg you for heaven's sake profer solution to my need & i am willing to pay.Anyone with a manual or how i can go about it should please post it or kindly send it to my mail box, SHERIPH4REAL@GMAIL.COM. |
I really commend d effort of u guys.May d gud aged lord reward u with many pips.I am not planin to going into forest after i burnt my account 2yrs ago.It was d unforget time of my life.i wiped away a a milion naira investor's money.i traded for a full year (2008).i later borowed $600, which i raised to about $1300 in 2-3months.I knw dt i have finally understand d market.Despite being under presure to pay my investors,i traded with strict money management and calmess.Always place my trade oe 4hr time frame, after rigorous analysis on d daily & 4hr,while mindn d 1hr for a better understandn of the short term trend.Never make decision based on 1hr chart analysis.I never trade against d major trend.I also learned dt makn trade decision based on d 4hr time frame is a very suitable tradn style for me & it guarantees great reward, though i do make like 100-150pips but its equivalent $ is usually 15-20$ due to my tight MM.So i finally found a way to remain profitable in d market.Infact,i was just beginin to enjoy forest because i hardly loss a trade. But i quit why? I had a debt of almost a million naira to pay but with my then trading style, its almost impossible to pay cosiderin d presure on me.So i withdraw d money, then paid certain investors dt i couldnt resist & face others with boldness dt i aint a scammer. We drag it out and they later accepted d truth. There is confidence in me that whn i come to trade forex,it wil definitely be another story.I wish u guys all d best. |
