BUTONEDAY: @mecussey, Let's see if I can get someone to check the current status of 11449 @ Butoneday Thanks for d call, I really appreciate it. @ All I guess the signal is not stable for now, if we all remember d case with infinity den b4 it became stable, I believe something similar is going on with d ad sports tp for now, with time its goin to be available. |

williams85: @pitodenz, where have u been all this while? We missed u, but not so much. lol. @oga george, will signal splitter have any effect on h and v polarity of two recievers? That is using one dish on two recievers. Thanks @ Williams85 Yes, the solution to it is using a two way lnb. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Abudhabi Sport Testing by Adeexy: 9:40am On Jul 20, 2010 |
BUTONEDAY: @ Adeexy, I sent one of my boys to do the tracking/searching of 11449. He got five channels using srt4669X @ 59%. My dish is tilted towards MBC persia & ESPN most of the time. The channels are AD Sport HD 1 to 5. Next week, I will connect any of my HD receivers and see if there are pictures. @ Butoneday I want to believe its not ur 5m dish, so what size of dish did your boy use in getting d signal? And you didn't get back to me in respect of our discussion tried calling you but ur no. wasn't available. |

Ameboperoo: I'm just thinking about an idea that came 2 my mind sometimes. I want us all to think out, before I practicalise it. What if i construct an arc as lnb holder on a 1.8 metre dish, the center of the arc will be the focal point of the dish. Then the other parts will be offset focal point. The dish faces sirius 4 example, the lnb at the centre receives signal from sirius. Another lnb on the western side of d arc receiving signal from a satellite from the East at an offset angle and so on. The arc may not be a perfect one 4 all its parts to be on the focal points at different offset angles. If my theory works, then a single dish can be used to receive different sats with many lnbs. It is just a theory though, I've not tried it yet. I saw it already installed, somewhere will get pictures next time I go dre, go ahead bro |

Like you have something against broadcast in HD, the format on lyngsat is Mpeg 4/HD for the tp 11449 so Its not a bad deal considering d cost.
@ All The tp is not turning green on my 2.5m fibre, has anybody tried it? |

@ All The ABU DHABI MEDIA COMPANY now has the rights to the English Premier League for the next three consecutive seasons 2010/11, 2011/12, and 2013/14. All the sports bars and footy fans throughout Europe who enjoyed the superb EPL coverage through Showtime for the last 3 years will need to switch over to the Abu Dhabi Sports Package to enjoy similar superb coverage for the next 3 years. This means there will be a huge demand for these subscriptions. The new package is not due to be released until mid-july. This gives us less than four weeks to get the viewing cards out in time for the start of the premiership football season. The ADMC Sports package consists of 10 HD channels and is due to be officially released in mid-July. The channels are, Abu Dhabi HD Sports 1 - 6, Sky News HD, Fox Movies HD, Fox Series HD, and National Geographic Abu Dhabi HD. In an attempt to prevent piracy ADMC have teamed up with Humax and are using a Humax HD Receiver with an embedded 12 month subscription.Individual Abu Dhabi viewing cards will also be available. But at the momeNt it is only clear that the sports channels will be in hd only so will require a compatible hd receiver to view these channels we will be testing many receivers to find out which will be the best. |

Ameboperoo: I saw it but it's not very clear. There are 4 wires with 2 indication for +ive and -ive. What of the other two? Should I just connect them not minding the polarity? Again, at the back of the positioner, there are six ports. 2 with indication and the other 4 without any. Pls throw more light on it. to add to what sammu has said if u can't clearly see the instruction label, for ur positioner u are only going to make use of 4 ports in my own case d 2 ports in d middle is not useful so M1 and M2 should be at d top (i.e. d two ports at d extreme end) and d sensor will be below it in d same order. Then from d Jack itself pick one positive and negative and connect it to d ports of d positioner and if dat doesn't work pick d positives for d Motor and d negatives for d sensor. am sure it shud work out fine. |

Riodiao: @adeexy. Thanks man. I think i'll go 4 d motorised 1.8m dish. How much does it cost and what kind of channels can i get in ph coz am told they r nt much compared to when your in d north @ Riodiao Well in Lagos here new Jack and positioner goes for around 5-6k while 1.8m dish goes for 8-10k (depending pole or ground mount) I 'll advise u go for d pole mount or get a welder to fabricate a neck for ground mount. U will get intelsat 7/10, Intelsat 906, NSS 12, Ew3, Ew4/7, Astra 2B, EW 6, Sirius 4, Nss7 Ku/c band |

Riodiao: Hi everyone , pls i need your advice on dis. Iv bin going through d various threads and am kinda confused. I want to be part of fta. I stay in port harcourt. I want to buy a decoder and lnb. Iv got 10,000 naira 4 dat excluding d dish. Pls wat kind of decoder do i buy with lnb and wat size of dish is recomended(preferably 1.8m dish). What r d channels do i stand to recieve(movies & football stations) in ph. What r d advantages and downside. I would b very grateful if some1 can spell them out. Thanx guys coz your doing a great job here. My mail add is riodiao@yahoo.com @ Riodiao Strong receiver is your best bet and for d dish if u can't afford 2.4m den should consider a motorized 1.8m setup with dat u'll sure get what u looking for. |

jayron: @ George_ D
Am a bit confused, beside my office an installer was trying to nail NILESAT for the past two weeks . I move closer to gain from him, from what i saw they could not nail a single bird.
I contacted a friend who came and nailed it. The quality attained was just 48-50% danggling. The dish itself is 4. something metres, and when we tracked NSS7 on it was 97%. Although it was used for analog signal by the military. Am confused, i dont know what next to do.
I need expert advise @ Jayron Adjust the 3 poles holding the lnb , its the focal length and u didn't say the type of lnb u used? |

sammu: @George-D, thanks for your prompt response. i will adjust the jack holder bar and get back PLEASE, there is another problem with the positioner it misses the preset positions, sometimes i will have to move east/west a little to get the set position
@borderline, long time bro , am doing great. how is your end too. i discover that alaba is cheaper than oshodi. holla me to get the lead at alaba. he is a my tv strong accredited distributor @Sammu You can't get d maximum signal strength on d preset position u still have to do little adjustments to get it, or if its not coming up at the preset position, hold on a little before moving it further, @Olason Long time how is ur end @all Greetings |
