South African police in Gauteng are looking for a man who hacked into the department of health database and employed himself as a system administrator since June 2018.
The suspect is identified by police as Bright Chabota, a computer engineering graduate, of Zambian origin. His father is Zambian and his mother is a South African.

He never actually went to work but he was getting the salary every month, according to reports.

Medical card and salary advice were piling up in an officer of the supposed system administrator in the department of health building in Pretoria but nobody had ever seen him.

His parents were tracked down in Alexander and they said he told them he got a job in Nelspruit. He had been sending them R7000 every month since June last year.

Where else but New York City? A newly opened restaurant within the city limits is boasting the nation’s first license to serve human flesh on the menu. The restaurant, simply called SKIN, received a license after petitioning the state and federal governments over laws against cannibalism.

“As a species, we are at the top of the food chain, and the only meat left to tackle was other humans,” said SKIN owner Mario Dorcy, a 4-star Michelin chef. “We battled long and hard to be able to serve human meat in our restaurant, and the government finally conceded that were were in the right.”
Dorcy says that he has been fighting cannibal ordinance laws for over 10 years, and was finally given the green-light after he promised that the meat that was used would only come from people who had donated their bodies specifically to his restaurant, knowing full well that they would be eaten.

“We have to keep meticulous records, and there is a lot of paperwork someone has to fill out before they die, and before they can be eaten,” said Dorcy. “We do pay handsomely for body donations, though, and the money can be used for anything, since funeral expenses become zero when you donate your body to be eaten.”

Dorcy says that there are plenty of dishes on the menu that do not include human meat, but those leery of the process should not order at all.

“Just like on those packages of candies with allergy warnings that say ‘the machines also are used to make items with nuts,’ our utensils are also used to cook human meat,” said Dorcy. “So don’t come in if you’re not down with what we do.”

There are many large hotels around the world but Saudi Arabia will soon have the largest. It is set to open in Mecca next year and will have at least 2,000 more rooms than the biggest hotel in the world today.

The hotel, called Abraj Kudai, is currently under construction and is expected to open next year. The building will have 10,000 rooms. The First World Hotel & Plaza, located in Malaysia, currently has the Guinness World Record for largest hotel in the world with 7,351 rooms.

The estimated project cost is around $3.5 billion and the hotel will have 12 towers, each with 45 floors. The hotel will also have 70 restaurants, a shopping mall, a number of ballrooms and five helipads. Five floors will be reserved for the Saudi royal family.
When completed, the hotel will have 2,649 more rooms than the current Guinness World Record holder, which has 7,351 rooms.

Saudi Arabia already has a number of luxury hotels but the 10,000 rooms, twelve towers, five helipads and 70 restaurants, easily make it stand out.

The Abraj Kudai hotel is being built nearly two kilometers away from the holy Islamic site in Mecca. It will be opened next year and will be the world’s largest hotel by room count. The city currently has more than 24,000 rooms under construction, 10,000 of them from the Abraj Kudai.

Remember the said lion in a house in lekki? Well the said lion as been evacuated by Lagos task force.
Officials of the Lagos State Task Force, in conjunction veterinary doctors from the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture, have succeeded in moving the lion found at a private home around Victoria Island to a zoo in Omu Resorts, Lekki.
There had been palpable fear at No. 229, Muri Okunola Street,Victoria Island area following discovery of the two-year-old big cat in one of the apartments by some residents.
New Telegraph learnt that an Indian, whose identity has not been ascertained as at the time of filing this report, owns the lion. He was said to have told the property owner that he wanted to rent the apartment for his own use but did not live there. Instead, he rented it for the lion.
Dissatisfied with cohabiting with a lion, it was learnt that residents of the building subsequently petitioned the Commissioner for the Environment Mr Tunji Bello on the development, calling for the immediate evacuation of the wild animal for their safety.
Speaking on the evacuation of the lion, Taskforce Chairman, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi confirmed that the exercise was carried out in conjunction with officials of the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and medical personnel from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ibadan.
Speaking further, Egbeyemi said that Dr. Ogunmo Bamidele, who led the medical team from the University of Ibadan, had to tranquilize the lion thrice before evacuation.

This is said to be the first of it's kind in Nigeria as three kidnapped victims consorted and killed their abductor in Oviri-Okpe Community in the Okpe Local Government Area of Delta on Thursday .

Police authorities said no offence was committed in the killing.

The three then immersed the dead kidnapper in a river around a bush where they were held.

Four other members of the kidnap gang ran away when they sensed their victims had broken free.

The dead kidnapper and four of his gang had kidnapped and held hostage four victims.

Later, one of the victims was taken to negotiate on behalf of others, their families with four of the kidnappers.

The tied victims had however undone the rope. It was why the last kidnapper was serving them food, on request, the three hostages attacked their abductor, and beat him to death

The three victims later went to the Orerokpe Police Station to incident the matter in line with the law.

Immediately, the police called the leaders of the Community to identify the corpse, before they evacuated the remains and deposited in a morgue in the area.

Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Adeyinka Adeleke confirmed the report.

According to him, the victims have committed no offence.

Hello Nairalanders. While I was battling with some issues on my phone, I realized I've opened at least 70 tabs in my browser(opera). So I'd like to know the highest you ever opened. Mind you, 60-90% of this tabs are important, so I find it difficult to close them immediately. Though I do offline the page sometimes I still find it easier to comeback to when I need that particular info.

How is this possible? Nothing Edet no go see for calabar.
