Health / Re: How St.nicholas Hospital Doctors Killed Chaz B By Chinyere Roselin Chukuma by adelolo: 12:17pm On Jul 15, 2023
You are a bloody liar. Receiving a call from another doctor on what to do in other countries like US, Canada and UK. I am sure their license will be taken from them by now in other countries.
Oduduwaboy:

What course did you study & in which country? If you trained in Nigeria, whatever is affecting the quality of the Doctors must have also affected you. Why must nincopomps like you always see this kind of rare occurences in the health sector as an opportunity to abuse all hard working Nigerian trained doctors? Events like this happen in every country. Stop being a big f.o.o.l!

What are they coping with? Are they doing it for free. Don't tell me nonsense
They collected 2m within 12 hours and said the person doesn't need surgery and later said he needs surgery. Confused set of doctors. May they and their families be treated the same way too
May the wrath of God fall on them.
d33types:
Firstly..RIP to the dead.

Secondly .the man was a high risk patient hence the doctors were right to be cautious about medications.

Thirdly.. All the steps taken were medically in order

..even if he anesthesiologist wasnt needed till the man was critical. the radiologist wasn't needed until the necessary resuscitation was being done .

It's a very unfortunate situation.. But its giving the dog a bad name to hang it.. Nigeria is bad for all of us..imagine calling the anesthesiologist by 9pm and he leaves home immediately but because of traffic he arrives late then you blame him 'chai doctors don suffer sha..
I swear Nigerians are damn ungrateful ..Doctors are the very few coping with the poor system.

Well it's because she's well to do

That hospital needs to be closed down. All they do is to collect one's hard earned money and put secondary school doctors there

Health / Re: Which Are The Best Hospitals In Lagos? by adelolo: 3:14am On Jun 30, 2023
Please don't go to St Nicholas hospital if you don't want to lose your loved ones. I just lost my dad there after they collected 2million naira within 5 hours and it is full of young doctors that don't know anything at all. Their consultants are not full time. Technology is outdated. Just avoid that hospital if you want your loved ones alive.
duke2000:
Let me make some comments here based on my personal experiences with 3 popular hospitals often cited in this forum -Lagoon, St Nicholas and R-Jolad.

St Nicholas:
- Too expensive and poor value for money: My baby underwent a couple tests in a day and got billed 70k. Consultation fee for a specialist cost me 10k.
-Unethical: I had a simple stomach cramp and quickly got admitted for surgery (appendicitis) even when their test suggested otherwise. I nearly had heart attack when administered a medication. Next day, I practically yanked off all intravenous stuff connected to stuff and left in annoyance.
- Poor Sanitation: Try the some of the wards. I got a flint to rid the room of roaches
-however, they are well-equiped; dialysis, mri, ct scan etc

R-jolad:
-Good customer service
-overcrowded
-attempts to target all segment of society
-lack of space
-not well equipped for a world class clinic

Lagoon:
No further comment -just the best
I have being to their Apapa, VI and Ikeja facilities.
they have good partnership with foreign clinics
Value for money
Excellent sanitation

I don't mean to de-market any. just to encourage them to improve
-need to improve their sanitation

How I wish I have read all these comments before allowing them to take my dad to that stupid hospital called St Nicholas. They collected #2million within 12 hours and I still ended up losing my dad last month. May 31st. No surgery was done, no lab test. Just very useless with children as young doctors. The next patient also died a night before my dad that was when I knew something was wrong with this hospital but it was too late to get him out.
Health / Re: St. Nicholas Hospital In Negligence Suit by adelolo: 8:48pm On Jun 06, 2023
And painful thing is I also just lost my precious daddy last week to this stupid hospital as a result of their negligence. I pray God Almighty will pay all of them back with their coins.
Omofranca:
Nigerians may be 'ignorant' but can still recognize negligence. This hospital and a number of others have escaped several law suits only because of our attitude of 'letting sleeping dogs lie' or that 'a law suit will not bring the dead person back to life.' In 2010, our family decided not sue this very hospital for our father's death for the same reasons.

For those looking to submit post-PPR applications to Accra....

info.canghaiom@vfshelpline.com (email)

+233 50 129 5270 (contact number)

Address of the VFS Global Office in Accra is

Canadian Visa Application Centre(In Partnership with International Organisation for Migration),
Baptist Convention House,
Abelemkpe Road,
Abelemkpe,
Accra.

I’ll recommend DHL. I paid an extra N1500 for insurance. Probably advisable, just to cover possible loose ends.

Good luck with the process smiley

Oh, lest I forget, you aren’t submitting directly to the High Commission.

Heeeeeellllllllll no.

You are submitting to VFS Global Accra, who will then submit to the high commission.

It’d also be smarter to pay for a return shipment by DHL and let VFS in on that. All that correspondence could be done via mail or phone, as given above.

Cheerio ✌️

(3) It is possible that it is with Unilag but has been forwarded to an office( i cant remember) in that same Senate Building. All i know is that they always receive postal mails in that office ( Mailing Unit)and are very very slow so the mail will now be forwarded to the Transcript Unit and it is until when Transcript Unit gets it, then will they communicate positive to you but go to their mailing Room at the Senate Building and check if your name is on the list for incoming mails to the School

FAX

Although it's not expressly stated on thier site that you can fax a copy of your credentials and documents required by WES or IQAS. People on this thread have successfully used online fax like www.hellofax.com. please include your WES reference number and details of accompanying documents as a cover page. i am also the PA. You dont need to change it. I used my maiden name while my husband and child bears same name that differ from my maiden name and so far my eligibility has been met just waiting for corona issue to be over. In my GCMS, the Officer said he has no issue with Family Composition since my marriage certificate has been provided. All you need is to scan your original marriage certificate, Notarized/Legal Change of Name and Punch Newspaper for change of name.
