Let the LORD, who is the Commander of the Host of Israel, arise and the enemies of this country planning to cause post-election mayhem, chaos or war should they lose the election BE SCATTERED, EXPOSED AND DISGRACED in the name of Jesus Christ.

Pray that God, by His mercy, shall liberate us from the politicians using insurgency to torture and to kill thousands in the North and let the Lord of Host arise and fight for our battles in this country; for the battles are not ours but the Lord's

**God will remove every Ahab that is in authority. Every ungodly rulers and those that do not stand up for righteousness and integrity.


**That the doors will open into every home that does not know the Lord for the penetration of the Gospel.

**God will bless and protect all the believers from every attack of the enemy in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Let us pray Isaiah 54:17 that “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”

**For a complete end to the cycle of religious, ethnic and political violence. Proverbs 23:18 “For surely there is an end and our expectation shall not be cut off”

**Pray for peace. Ask the Almighty God to comfort, heal and provide for those who have lost loved ones and /or properties and businesses during this insurgency or through whatever way.

**Pray against all hidden agendas of politicians, and that any attempt to deliberately orchestrate post-election violence in Nigeria would come to nothing. Pray that every evil counsel that is in existence at any level of government in this country be destroyed. (Job 5:12-14).


**Pray for wisdom to be endowed upon whoever becomes the president for the efficient utilization of the nation’s resources especially the oil. Let us pray that every corruption, injustice and wickedness in high places be brought down and totally destroyed in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. God declares in Proverbs 11:1 “A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.”

**Pray for mercy for the weak, the poor and the orphans who cry for help because our Lord is the Help of the helpless. Psalms 68:5 “A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.”

Also pray for all other Believers in other countries that are praying for Nigeria and ask God to strengthen them and grant them success.

You and I know that there are many divergent prophecies about what this year will be and the outcome of the election, however we have a non- divergent but coherent view of what we want as Nigerians for our beloved nation.

One thing is clear, we all love Nigeria, (It is one place we can truly call home) we all want one Nigeria, we all want Nigeria to be better, peaceful, free from insurgents, we want purposeful leadership, we want jobs for our youth, we do not want Nigerians begging for asylum in various nations, we want our agricultural, oil and gas, education, power sectors developed, we want to be free from corruption and become a developed nation like Canada, Singapore, America and many more. So let us stand in unity in prayer. Motivate people in your domain to pray.

Please pray with an open mind not skewed prayers. Pray that the election will be free. That there will be no bloodshed. Pray that God will give us visionary and purposeful leadership. Remember this election is not only presidential, but governorship, house of rep, senators, house of assembly elections are all very crucial. All these different levels of government count.


1. THE CHURCH

The Church is often relegated to the sidelines, considered irrelevant and out of touch. Though we sometimes deserve that critique, God has a completely different perspective on what His people are to be and how we are to function. In Ephesians 3:10, the Apostle Paul writes, "His [God's] intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known…."
Though seemingly powerless in the eyes of the world, the Church-through righteousness, prayer, and the power of the Holy Spirit-releases the wisdom of God into any and every culture

Pray today for the Church in Nigeria, that:
o Our eyes will be opened to see the hope to which we are called (Eph.1:18).
o We will experience in a fresh, new way the Presence of Christ in revival.
o Believers will be given the faith to believe that their votes will make a difference.
o A spirit of repentance and humility will be poured out upon the people of God.


2. THE VOTERS

This requires an educated electorate who will examine the issues and the candidates and vote in a way that is best for the nation, not just their own well-being. Much prayer is needed for this critical process. This is not the time for Office seekers to be deceiving and making a mockery of our citizenry by introducing stomach in fracture and the voters gullibly eating their destiny in one day like Esau!

Pray today for voters in the Nigeria, that:
o Wisdom will be sought from God (James 1:5).
o Self-interest will be laid aside for the common good.
o Discernment between truth and falsehood will be clear.
o Will reject bribe from office seekers.
o Will not vote based on sentiments of religion, tribe, nepotism, but who can develop the nation


3. THE CANDIDATES

In the early years of our nation, it was thought to be in bad taste to even be seen wanting an office, much less actually campaigning. Oh, how things have changed! Now candidates for public office, especially at higher levels, put themselves and their families through a rigorous process that brings every aspect of their lives into public view. It has become so intense that many good individuals have chosen not to endure the sort of public scrutiny that is an integral part of the campaigning process today.
Praying for candidates does not mean praying just for those you agree with or support. All are leaders and potential leaders in our nation-and as such, all need our prayers.

Pray today for candidates for office in the Nigeria, that:
o They will take brave stands for righteousness, even when it may not be well received.
o Their families will be protected from harm and unnecessary scrutiny.
o They will surround themselves with godly advisors.
o They will focus on the issues we face as a nation and not on personal attacks on other candidates.


4. THE MEDIA

In our day of 24-hour news coverage, the media have taken on a huge role in our election process. Handling media correctly sometimes seems to take precedence in a campaign over actually dealing with issues. The media themselves often forget their role of informing and reporting and have become endorsers and supporters, even while they try to deny that role. Increased prayer for the media is an essential way for Christians to impact an election.

Pray today for the media in Nigeria, that:
o Truth in reporting and election coverage will become a high value.
o Media bias will disappear.
o Christianity will receive fair coverage in all reports.
o Hope will become a part of the message of the media.


5. SPIRITUAL WARFARE SURROUNDING THE ELECTIONS

Nothing is achieved in the Kingdom of God without warfare. That includes the election of righteous individuals to the leadership of one of the key nations on the planet. As we pray, we must expect the enemy to attack in many ways. There will be attacks on candidates and their families, on the media, the Church, and perhaps the nation itself. Some will be clearly spiritual, while other attacks may have physical manifestations. Our call is to have great discernment as we pray and stand in the strength of Christ's victory.

Pray today around the spiritual warfare issues involved in the election, such as:
o Great awareness and discernment for the Lord's praying people as they pray over the election.
o Physical protection for all candidates and their families throughout this campaign season.
o A strong hedge of protection around the nation itself during this time of decision.
o The unleashing of the sword of the Spirit throughout the nation, judging the thoughts and intents of the heart (Heb. 4:12).


6. THE PURPOSE OF GOD

Ultimately, whatever the area of prayer emphasis, we must always come back to the purposes of God. Jesus taught us to pray, "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven" (Mt. 6:10). As we pray for something as important as national elections, we must lay down our own desires and take up the desires of God. What we really desire is for the Lord's purposes to be achieved in and through our nation. All of our requests must be couched in words and thoughts that focus our hearts on the Kingdom of God.

Pray today for the purposes of God to be accomplished in the Nigeria elections:
o Pray that the Nigeria will turn and seek first the Kingdom of God.
o Pray that God will be honored in the midst of this election campaign.
o Pray for opportunities for Christians to share their faith and their values in the midst of this election process.
o Pray that the results of the 2015 elections will please the Lord and release His blessing over this nation.


7. DEVELOPMENT OF OUR NATION.

The crux of the matter is whether we were rightly amalgamated in 1914 or not we were amalgamated. The fact is in 1960 we got independence. The fact is that in 1956/57 oil was discovered in Nigeria. The fact is Nigeria is blessed with huge human and mineral resources and crude oil. The fact is Nigeria has not developed. Nigeria has not developed not because we do not have brilliant leaders or energetic leaders, but we lack leaders with integrity. Leaders who will lay their life for the nation. Leaders who will put the interest of the nation above their selfish interest. The fact Nigeria needs to develop and develop fast!

Let us pray that our leaders will develop our nation. All sectors of our nation needs development but POWER and SECURITY [/b]sectors are major and consequently our [b]ECOMOMY. Let us pray that whichever party wins their focus will be to develop Nigeria. May thy Lord help Nigeria. May we not miss this great opportunity again.

In a social climate of complete equality in all things, the biblical teaching of only allowing men to be pastors and elders is not popular. Many feminist organizations denounce this position as antiquated and chauvinistic. In addition, many Christian churches have adopted the "politically correct" social standard and have allowed women pastors and elders in the church. But the question remains, is this biblical?

My answer to this question is, "No, women are not to be pastors and elders." Many may not like that answer; but it is, I believe, an accurate representation of the biblical standard. You make the decision after reading this article.

First of all, women are under-appreciated and under-utilized in the church. There are many gifted women who might very well do a better job at preaching and teaching than many men. However, it isn't gifting that is the issue but God's order and calling. What does the Bible say? We cannot come to God's word with a social agenda and make it fit our wants. Instead, we must change and adapt to what it says.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, the garden of Eden, and Adam and Eve. He put Adam in the garden and gave him the authority to name all the animals. Afterwards, God made Eve as a helper to Adam.1 This is an important concept because Paul refers to the order of creation in his epistle to Timothy when he discusses the relationship between men and women in the church context. Let's take a look.

"But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but remain quiet. For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived, but the woman being quite deceived, fell into transgression." (1 Tim. 2:12-14--all quotes from the Bible are from the NASB).

This passage has several interesting areas of discussion, but for our purpose we will focus on authority. At the very least, there is an authority structure set up by God. The woman is not to have authority over the man in the church context, but this does not extend to the political/economic world. In the Old Testament Deborah was a judge in Israel over men. Also, in the New Testament, Phoebe played an important role in the church at Cenchrea (Romans 16). There is no doubt that women supported Paul in many areas and were great helpers in the church (Acts 2:17; 18:24-26; 21:8-9). But what Paul is speaking of in 1 Tim. 2 is the relationship between men and women in the church structure--not in a social or political context.

When we look further at Paul's teachings, we see that the bishop/overseer is to be the husband of one wife (1 Tim. 3:2), who manages his household well, and has a good reputation (1 Tim. 3:4-5, 7). Deacons must be "men of dignity" (1 Tim. 3:. Paul then speaks of women in verse 11 and their obligation to receive instruction. Then in verse 12, Paul says "Let deacons be husbands of one wife . . . " Again, in Titus 1:5-7, Paul says, "For this reason I left you in Crete, that you might set in order what remains, and appoint elders in every city as I directed you, namely, if any man be above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion. For the overseer must be above reproach as God's steward . . . " Notice that Paul interchanges the word 'elder' and 'overseer'.

In each case, the one who is an elder, deacon, bishop, or overseer is instructed to be male (See article There were deaconesses, so there can be female elders and pastors). He is the husband of one wife, responsible, able to "exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict" (Titus 1:9). We see no command for the overseers to be women. On the contrary, women are told to be "dignified, not malicious gossips, but temperate, faithful in all things" (1 Tim. 3:11). Why is it that it is the men who are singled out as the overseers? It is because of the created order of God that Paul references (Gen. 1-2; 1 Tim. 2:12-14). This is not merely a social custom that fell away with ancient Israel.

Additionally, in the Old Testament in over 700 mentions of priests, every single one was a male. There is not one instance of a female priest. This is significant because priests were ordained by God to hold a very important office of ministering the sacrifices. This was not the job of women. Therefore, from what I see in Genesis 1-2, 1 Timothy 2, and Titus 1, the normal and proper person to hold the office of elder/pastor is to be a man.

WHAT ABOUT GALATIANS 3:28?
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus." (Gal. 3:28).

This verse is often used to support the idea that women can hold the offices of elder and pastor because there is neither male nor female in Christ. The argument states that if we are all equal, then women can be pastors.

Unfortunately, those who use this verse this way have failed to read the context. Verse 23 talks about being under the Law "before faith came" and how we are brought closer to Jesus and have become sons of God by faith. We are no longer under law, but grace and we are "Abraham's offspring, heirs according to the promise," (v. 29).2 The point of this passage is that we are all saved by God's grace according to the promise of God, and that it doesn't matter who you are--Jew, Greek, slave, free, male, or female. All are saved the same way--by grace. In that, there is neither male nor female.

This verse is not talking about church structure. It is talking about salvation "in Christ." It cannot be used to support women as pastors because that isn't what it is talking about. Instead, to find out about church structure and leadership, you need to go to those passages that talk about it: 1 Timothy 2 and Titus 1.

BEING A PASTOR OR ELDER IS TO BE IN AUTHORITY
God is a God of order and balance. He has established order within the family (Gen. 3:16; 1 Cor. 11:3; Eph. 5:22-33; Col. 3:18-21 ) and the church (1 Tim. 2:11-14; 1 Cor. 11:8-9). Even within the Trinity, there is an order--a hierarchy. The Father sent the Son (John 6:38), and both the Father and the Son sent the Holy Spirit (John 14:26; 15:26). Jesus said, "For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me." (John 6:38). It is clear that God is a God of order and structure.

In creation, God made Adam first and then Eve to be his helper. This is the order of creation. It is this order that Paul mentions in 1 Tim. 2:11-14 when speaking of authority. Being a pastor or an elder is to be in the place of authority. Therefore, within the church, for a woman to be a pastor or elder, she would be in authority of men in the church which contradicts what Paul says in 1 Tim. 2:11-14.

BUT DOESN'T THIS TEACHING BELITTLE WOMEN?
No, male leadership does not belittle women. Jesus was given his authority by God the Father (Matt. 28:18). He was sent by God (John 6:38). He said the Father was greater than He (John 14:28). Did this belittle Jesus? Of course not. Women are of great value in the church and need to be used more and more according to the gifts given them.

Does the wife's submission to the husband mean that she is less than the husband, less important, or belittled? Again, not at all. Not having a place of leadership in the church does not mean a woman is less of a person, less important to God, or inferior. All are equal before God whether it be Jew, Gentile, free, slave, male, or female. But in the church, God has set up an order the same way he set one up in the family. The chain of command is Jesus, the man, the wife, and the children.

WHAT ABOUT WOMEN WHO SAY THEY ARE CALLED BY GOD TO BE PASTORS?
There are women pastors in the world who love their congregations and have stated that they are called by God to be pastors. Of course, I cannot agree with this considering the previous analysis of the biblical position. Instead, I believe they have usurped the position of men and gone against the norm of scriptural revelation. Additionally, those who state that they are called by God because of the great job they are doing and the gifting they have received are basing their theology upon experience and not scripture.

The issue is simple: are they submitting to the word of God, or are they making the word of God submit to their desires?

WHAT ABOUT A MISSIONARY WOMAN WHO ESTABLISHES A CHURCH?
Scripture establishes the norm. As Christians, we apply what we learn from the word to the situations at hand. So, what about the situation where a woman missionary has converted a group of people, say in the jungle somewhere, and she has established a church? In that church, she is then functioning as a pastor and teacher having authority over men in the church. Should she not do this?

First of all, she should not be out there alone. She should be with her husband or, at the very least, under the oversight of a church body in the presence of other women and men. Missionary work is not a lone endeavor to be handled by single women.

Second, if in some highly unusual set of circumstances there is a woman in a lone situation, it is far more important that the word of God be preached and the gospel of salvation go forth to the lost than not. Whether it be male or female, let the gospel be spoken. However, I would say that as soon as there is/are males mature enough to handle eldership, that she should then establish the proper order of the church as revealed in scripture and thereby show her submission to it.

DOES THIS ALSO MEAN THAT WOMEN SHOULDN'T WEAR JEWELRY?
"Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments; 10 but rather by means of good works, as befits women making a claim to godliness. 11 Let a woman quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness. 12 But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. 13 For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve." (1 Tim. 2:9-13).

Some argue that if we are to forbid women to be elders, then the context of 1 Tim. 2:9-13 demands that we require women to no have braided hair, wear gold, or have costly garments. Since no one wants to put that sort of a demand on a woman (since it is cultural), then why should we also demand that they not be elders since it would logically follow that it was also a culturally based admonition?

The problem here is that multifaceted. First, the objection ignores what the scriptures plainly teach about the elder being the husband of one wife. Second, it fails to address the real issue of biblical headship residing in the male. Third, it fails to properly exegete the scripture in question.

In 1 Tim. 2:9-13 Paul tells us that women should be modestly dressed. He uses the example of the then present-day adornment as an example of what not to do. This is a culturally based assessment by Paul. Notice that Paul emphasizes good works and godliness as a qualifier (as does Peter, see 1 Pet. 3:2). This is not a doctrinal statement tied to anything other than being a godly woman in appearance as well as attitude.

In verse 11, Paul says that a woman should quietly receive instruction. Please note that "The word, heµsychia, translated “quietness” in 1 Timothy 2:11 and silent in verse 12, does not mean complete silence or no talking. It is clearly used elsewhere (Acts 22:2; 2 Thes. 3:12) to mean “settled down, undisturbed, not unruly." A different word (sigaoµ) means “to be silent, to say nothing” (cf. Luke 18:39; 1 Cor. 14:34).”3 Paul is advocating orderliness in this verse.

Then in verse 12-13, Paul says, "But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. 13 For it was Adam who was first created, and then Eve." Notice that Paul directly relates the authority issue with the created order. He does not do this with the woman's dress code. Therefore, the dress code is cultural and the authority issue as doctrinal since the latter is tied to the creation order and the dress code, and authority issues are not.

CONCLUSION
God's word clearly tells us that the elder is to be the husband of one wife. A woman cannot qualify for this position by virtue of her being female. Whether anyone likes it or not is irrelevant to the fact that this is what the Bible teaches.

Now as for scriptures;

There are no scriptures that explicitly says drink water when you fast; but such can be implied with care from some scriptures that talked about fasting. E.g.

Jesus was hungry after His forty day fast -not thirsty

Luke 4v2 -Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days He did EAT NOTHING: and when they were ended, He afterward HUNGERED.

It says "He did EAT NOTHING" -not drink nothing. And afterward HUNGERED -not thirsted.

Which implied He drank water. If he ate or drank anything with calories He wouldn't be hungry.

Also;

Matthew 15:32 -Then Jesus called His disciples unto Him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have NOTHING TO EAT: and I will not send them away FASTING, lest they faint in the way.

Here Jesus equated having nothing to EAT as FASTING; not drink. The people obviously had water to drink for the past three days, coz they were by the sea of galilee.

Matt 15v29 -And Jesus departed from thence, and came NIGH UNTO THE SEA OF GALILEE;....and great multitudes came unto Him.

While it is possible to go on fast without both food and water; as there were people in scripture who did it -Moses, Esther and Nineveh. It is not advisable to go without water for prolonged fasts -like 10 days to 40 days fasts. Its not even possible for that of 40 days, except you're breaking daily.

In the book of first Corinthians Paul gave certain instructions and he gave a reason for each of these instructions. Some he said it is directly from the Lord, another he said it's from the wisdom that God gave him, yet another he said it's just an advice. But when it came to the issue of women covering their hair he said "Now if anyone is disposed to be argumentative and contentious about this, we hold to and recognize no other custom [in worship] than this, nor do the churches of God generally." (1Cor 11:16).
Paul didn't say didn't say this is directly from the Lord and he didn't say if women didn't cover their hair they will go to Hell.

But Paul said this is a custom. Custom tells you what you need to do to be a part of a group or a society. And to be a part of the Church as at that time you must cover your hair as a woman.
But the gospel tells you what you need to do to make heaven and have a foretaste of heaven on earth.

Women covering hair is nothing but a custom for believer as at the time that verse was written. But if you choose to follow it fine and if you don't want to follow it there is nothing wrong with that.

Hello my brother, the interpretation of the verse you quoted above is WRONG. Possibly, you used AMP version but I will stick to KJV version and which says 1 Cor. 11:16, "But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God" To you, all the illustrations given before this very verse are worthless, meaningless and of course, MERE CUSTOM. The interpretation is "If any man desires to argue with or is not happy with what I, Paul has said unto you, tell him that we, Paul and those listening to him, have no such CUSTOM, neither the churches of God. WHAT IS THIS CUSTOM in 1 Cor 11:16? The custom of engaging in "foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law:" as it is written in Titus 2:9 for us not to engage in such things. That is why he specifically mentioned that "neither the churches of God"

Preaching or producing gospel music, film, book without charge & selling it for making profit is the ultimate sacrifice God desires His devoted ministers to reach.

Charging people of amount of money before presenting our ministration of preaching, music, and drama on invitation or in production for profit making is an abuse of authority in the gospel. “that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.” 1 Corinthians 9:18

Those who make personal financial profit in the process of preaching the gospel are making business of the free grace and gift of God.

The Secret of Apostle Paul Success in The Ministry Apostle Paul had a tremendous success and won many souls into the kingdom of God because he followed the principle of Free-of-charge ministry, meaning he preached gospel of Christ to all without demanding for money directly - by asking for amount of money before ministration as many preachers are doing today, demanding for certain amount of money before they accept to minister; or indirectly – by asking for some amount after ministration in the name of selling their ministration on printing books or recording CD beyond cost of production. As many are doing today, selling their printed ministration in books, not to get the production money but to gain profit; in their recorded messages, music and films on CD, VCD, DVD, not to make it affordable at production cost but to make profit thereafter.

Some churches and ministries who claim holiness are not only selling their CD, VCD and DVD but also sell their tracts, Sunday school books in making profits of their own sheep.

Apostle Paul did not only run a free-of-charge ministry but he used his hands to labor, working to support his ministry, without incessant asking of donations from general public of both saved and unsaved. Why Apostle Paul made a remarkable success in the work of the ministry was because he made extra sacrifice for the kingdom of God by not depending on people’s support or selling his ministerial works to people, but diligently engaged his hands to work for the provision of the ministry he was called into.

“ Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working? 7 Who ever goes to war at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk of the flock?” 1 Corinthians 9:6, 7

Apostle Paul ran a free-of-charge most time at his own expense, from the money he got from his own business/salary.

Though it is totally wrong to sell your ministration to raise money for surviving, but it is not wrong to ask people of God to support your ministry and your surviving in the ministry, yet Paul went beyond that, he said, “Do you not know that those who minister the holy things eat of the things of the temple, and those who serve at the altar partake of the offerings of the altar? 14 Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.”

“15 But I have used none of these things, nor have I written these things that it should be done so to me; for it would be better for me to die than that anyone should make my boasting void.” 1 Corinthians 8:13-15.

What Made Free-Of-Charge Ministry Possible for Apostle Paul!

There are three major reasons Apostle Paul could successfully run a free-of-charge ministry:

1, He totally trusted God for daily provision. Paul did not devise his means for fund raising, but he trusted God per time for the provision of his personal and ministerial needs. “And we have such trust through Christ toward God.” 2 Corinthians 3:4

2, He worked with his hands for the provision of this work of the ministry. He did not only wait for support from brethren, but worked to get money to support his ministry and others in the ministry with him. “Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me. 35 I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:34,35.

3, He lived a humble, simple and non-luxurious life. You cannot run a free-of-charge ministry if you want to ride expensive car, send your kids to expensive school, live in a luxurious house or housing estate or use expensive stuffs. It will not also be possible for you either if you believe in graduation from contentment and moderation.

Some ministers of the gospel believe they suffered so much when they started the ministry but now is time for reward, that it is time for God to reward them with SUV/Jeep for their past trekking on foot, that it is time to live luxurious, expensive lifestyle for their past years labor. God does not work in such way, ministers of God who still follow the Bible are never to live luxurious lifestyle, but to be moderate in all things, and they are never to use expensive, glamorous stuffs but to show example of godliness with contentment. That was the message and lifestyle of Apostle Paul; he never graduated from a simple, content and humble lifestyle, even after many years in the ministry.

The bitter truth you may find hard to accept is that a genuine full time minister of God is not meant to be a wealthy or rich man; you will not find one in the Bible and among the old time ministers of the gospel even till Charles Spurgeon.

The new gospel of today that believes in expensive, extravagant lifestyle among the ministers of God is what Apostle Paul described as “useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. 6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 5-10.

Apostle Paul did not seek his own financial gain of money, birthday gift, etc.; he did not seek his own material gain in the name of ministry such as his own building, his own private school or college, his own private jeep, jet, etc.; but seeking for the salvation of souls. “just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.” 1 Corinthians 10:33.

Seeking financial profit in the cause of ministry is a misled notion into the ministry. If you are called into the ministry, trust God to provide for Himself in the ministry He called you into. Do not sell your ministerial materials such as ministerial books, ministerial CD, VCD, DVD messages, music, or films beyond cost production for profit making.

Never demand money for ministerial invitation and never collect every gift after ministration – so that you will not get used to it and become expectant.

The Pattern of Free-Of-Charge Gospel You can also be like Apostle Paul of free-of-charge gospel ministration in any of the ministries God has called you into. You can become Like Paul in labouring, working with your hands, sacrificing part of your salary, your house, car for the work of God just as the saints of old did. Apostle Paul said, “Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern.” Philippians 3:17.

You can be like Jesus Christ who freely gives us all things without a single charge. Jesus Christ says, “Freely you have received, freely give.” Matthew 10:8.

God is seeking among His children in this end time who will devote themselves to the work of God free of charge, who are not after personal gain in the cause of ministerial work, who are not after fortune, fame, followers or fans.

The Reward The rewards of free-of-charge gospel are enormous – here on earth are righteousness, joy and peace in the Holy Spirit. And in heaven are the ultimate everlasting rewards reserved for us. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7, 8.
