I immediately registered for a Visa appointment (Cat A). Can I also book an appointment for certifying my documents at the consulate? I'm asking because the rule is one appointment per person. Thanks as I await your usual response.

Oh thanks Bro. For clarifying the wrong thought. There's this Central Bank policy on fund transfer. Hope it didn't affect your transfer as a bulk using Sterling bank...?
Fabcol:
Fintiba accepts transfer from Nigeria
I used fintiba and funded from sterling bank

Paper clip can be use instead... It's easily detachable than you using staple pin instead.
From what have deduce: one is expected to use paper clip so u can easily access the paper singly than being attach with stapled pins. Olorun a sanu wa!!!
Magma012:
So admission letter shouldn't be stapled?

More success and more blessings beyond imagination...

MY TRANSCRIPT:

So I had my interview today July 1, 2019. Got to the embassy by 5:29am met one person but he was for Short term visa. So I was number one on the queue for Student visa. Paulinus then started calling....I attached all my photocopies at the back of the originals to make them easy to access....thanks to Nairaland and my brother that told me about this arrangement (NB: Don't staple them pls, use office pin holders to hold them). So I didn't have any wahala at all with oga paulinus.
Oga paulinus first checked in the short term visa people. They were 5 in number.
I was now told to go in for the interview. But before I went in for my interview , we were around 8 Students on the queue. Fast forward to me and Vo;

Me: Good morning
Vo: what are u here for?
Me: Student visa
Vo: Let me have all your documents
Me: Alright ma. Everything?
Vo: Yes
Me: (I gave her all apart from photo passports)
Vo: Can I have your passport?
Me : It's there with the documents (pointing to my International passport on her table)
Vo: No, I mean photo passport
Me: oh...I gave her 4, she returned back 2 apart from the one stapled on the form.
Vo: you are going for bachelors degree?
Me: yes ma
Vo: Have u not had your bachelors before?
Me: I have
Vo: Y another bachelor?
Me: I chose to do my second bachelor because of change in my career path. I currently own a startup business and this degree will increase my specialization in the chosen career and help me become an expert in the field. Again it will help me to run my company more confidently and professionally.
Vo: ok
Vo: Your email is.........(printed 2papers and gave me; confirm your data and sign)
Me: yes they are all correct ( then I signed on both)
Vo: put your 4fingers, right hand first and then your left hand
Mesad placed as requested)
Vo: Can i have your visa fee?
Me: (I gave her, she then counted and gave me a receipt of payment)
Vo: Alright. Lets start the interview now.
Me: ( for my mind nawaa oo...so interview never even started before!) Ok ma
Vo: oh you have funded?
Me: yes ma
Vo: which school are you going to?
Me: Trier University of Applied Sciences, Umwelt-campus Birkenfeld (NB: I was slow because she was typing what I was answering)
Vo: Umwelt-campus?
Me: yes ma.... that's Environmental campus in English
Vo: Course?
Me: Sustainable Business and Technology (bsc)
Vo: Why this course?
Me: this course will help me to build my business management and technological skills to enable me run my startup confidently, effectively and professionally.
Vo: Is the course in English?
Me: Yes it's taught completely in English
Vo: Do u speak German?
Me: No I don't.
Vo: What do u do?
Me: I own a startup business (I called the name and said I have my website and I have got it registered)
Vo: what is the company all about?
Me: it's an on-demand home services technology startup that connects individuals, homeowners and companies to their professional skilled workers.
Vo: Have u been to Germany before?
Me: No ma
Vo: Do u know anyone in Germany?
Me: No ma
Vo: Have u applied for German visa before?
Me: No ma
Vo: Have u applied for visa at all before?
Me: yes ma(Poland). Some years back.
Vo: ok
Vo: why Germany?
Me: Higher education in Germany is among the best in the world(Then light went off, she said I should pause. After like 30seconds, light returned and she said ok continue). Universities in Germany are tuition free which is extended to us the international students. Also Germany is among the safest country to study for international students and I will also have the opportunity to learn a second language which is German and interact with other International Students.
Vo: Why not Nigeria?
Me: This kind of course that combines Business and Technology isn't obtainable in Nigeria. Secondly, we do more of theoritical learning than practical training so it won't help me to expertise in this field.
Vo: why not Uk, Canada or USA?
Me: Their tuition fees are very expensive. I can't afford it.
Vo: what do u know about Germany?
Me: Germany is located in central and Western Europe and it's capital is in Berlin. Germany is boarded by 9countries. Coming from North u have Denmark, down in the south u have Austria and Swiss, to the East u have Poland and Czech , from the West u have Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands, if you go down a bit at the south-west u have France (She was nodding her head; mind you I was using this North, south, East, west something to kill time small...lolz but all were very correct and I was saying them slowly). The German president is Frank Walter- Steinmeier and he is the head of state charged with representative responsibilities and power. The chancellor is Angela Dorothea Merkel, the head of government, charged with responsibility of discharging her executive duties through her cabinet. Coming down to the legislative; u have bundesrat headed by Daniel Gunther as the president and Bundestag u have Wolfgang Schauble as the president that oversees the daily session of the house. The reunification of Germany was on October 3 1990(she kept nodding her head). Berlin has the largest train station and Frankfurt has the 4th busiest airport in Europe(at this point my head couldn't remember anything. she said continue. I then said German chancellor office in Berlin is known locally as "Washing machine". Vo said what ? I repeated it but this time in a very low tone. She said don't say what you are not sure of. I come say sorry ma with small smiles and then I scratched my head). Immediately football entered my head and I began to flow once more... Germany have won world cup 4times...1954, 1974, 1990 and 2014. They have also hosted it twice..1974 and 2006. The Euro.....she then said it's ok.
Vo: So what's next after your studies?
Me: I will proceed for my master degree to be grounded in business and Technology. After which I will come back to Nigeria to re-establish my company professionally.
Vo: Alright that will be all .
Me: Thank you ma(I wanted to leave then I returned back, please ma can I ask a question)?
Vo: yes you are free.
Me: please I don't know my fate regarding this interview because am thinking of getting enrolled for German class .
Vo: for me u performed well in your interview but the decision is not only mine but anyway u can go ahead and enroll.
Me: Thank you very much ma.

Security people come dey tap me for small choppings as I dey leave, finally I dropped small tin for them. They tried for me anyway.
NB: I came out from the interview room around 7:45am. When I came out, the Students that were outside should be around 30. Though some might be for Certification. By my own calculation, I spent around 30 to 35mins with the Vo and I was interviewed by the lady in Room 2( Her style of hair be like dreadlock). To be sincere, she was very nice and friendly.
*On a lighter note...I no sleep last night...went to bed by 11:45pm and I set alarm for 3am on my 2phones(imagine). U know all these witch people fit remember person on a day like dis. Anyway they no see me shaa. Na so Lagos people dey suffer rain? It dealt with me shaa. Lagos una good morning! Make I do leave una.
Una welldone oo. Na so my interview waka take go.

Nice one here. Sorry to cut in, I hope there's no limitations for funds transfer from access Euro account and secondly which block account did you used? Because fintiba doesn't accept transfer from Nigeria. Thanks boss
Tamax:
Thanks bro, I am grateful. Payment into my Acc in Naira or what means do you use to pay into the euro Acc before u transfer to you block account? Thanks once again.

Congrats. Go and prosper in Germany.
I really appreciate everyone here: helping one another for God's sake. God will bless us all

To who much is given, much is expected....
I thank God for a favourable and successful interview on 18/06/2019. I appreciate the contributions, wealth of experience and love from this great family. Thank you all. May all our aspirations and dreams on this journey come to reality in Jesus name, Amen.

I arrived the embassy at 5.21am and was told by the police officer at the entrance to come back 6am. I got back by 6am and joined the queue.

Thank God for a favourable session with Mr. P . I must acknowledged that if you do whatever he instructs u to the latter (without subtraction or any addition), you will not experience his wrath. He is a principled fellow. please take note of this; try to go with extra copies of whatever is on the student checklist. There is no crime in that , so as to avoid unnecessary running around or telling stories that is touching..
...
I went with 4 copies of all that was mentioned on the checklist as backup.

I was check into room 2 for my interview.
Me: good morning
Vo: good morning
vo: can I have your international passport
Me: I hand it over
vo: why are you here. I'm her for my German student visa interview to study for a master degree in Groundwater Mngt.
vo: how old are you
vo: are you married? yes, I am with children
vo: how do u intend to sustain ur family while you're away in Germany. My wife is gainfully employed with a good pay. my employer agreed paying me half salary for the duration of my study. this would sustain them while I'm gone
vo: u hope I would not see them very soon that they want to come and join u? I said no and we both smiled
vo: you're yet to fund your BA? I said yes. please read carefully and sign the following documents. I went on to read before signing them , while she kept typing on her PC and the interaction is ongoing.
vo: tell me the name of your school and state it is located. I handed her the signed documents. she requested for 3 passport photos.
vo: which school did u graduated from and when. I answered.
vo: what kept u this long before taking ur Master degree. I told her I was gathering experience on the job which has just led to the motivation to take the degree after i discovered the origin of Nigerian groundwater challenges and it's major health issues.
vo: now let's Start the interview. pls be brief as possible as u can.
vo: why this course. it is in line with my future career plan. it would also help me to contribute to groundwater research development in Nigeria from the practical experience and knowledge I will acquire after the degree. vo said that is OK pls
vo: why study in Germany. high class of education system in terms of dual teaching which combines theoretical learning and practical training to produce bright graduates who are well prepared for work environment. The heavy investment of the German government in education and research development, plus her free tuition for their citizens and foreigners motivated me
vo: why not UK. huge tuition and high cost of living which is beyond my reach. another is racism and insecurity against black students. vo disagreed with me. she said racism occurs in Nigeria too.
vo: tell me facts about Germany u know. I mentioned population according to UNO estimate, first country to adopt daylight saving time in 1916, Europe largest economy, 4th and 5th largest economy in world according to nominal GDP and PPP, German president and chancellor with their parties and elected dates. she said stop. that is OK
vo: plans after the MSC. coming home to put to practise the acquired knowledge
vo: Bsc thesis.
vo: pls send ur BA asap to fast track the completion of Ur application .
thank u and have a great day I said. vo: and u too.
All the interactive session and biometric documentation is 10 mins.
good news to as many expecting AL, BA, SL, AM and Visa very soon in Jesus name, Amen.

Please accept my apology this is coming late. I have some challenges that cut me off out of reach. but better late than never......
Best of luck to everyone. Thanks for the privilege to share my little experience with this great generation.

In life, I believe if you everything will fall to place eventually. Like it just fall to place with or without people help. It might just take time but it will.. Being helpful is tasking and require lot of patience... I believe the person in question is tense with activities but don't blame who's asking for help.. If they also know they wouldn't constitute time deprivation.

My bro and sister, enlightened travelers and intending traveler I urge us all to endure one another. Help is unique and it can come from anybody and any time (even the person u assisting now)

Thanks y'all
Chriswazo:

I will answer you

u remember when you started, I think around December last year and I got your pm, you kept asking basic questions and I kept urging you to read up
I even had to give u my number and kept assisting you, at a time the questions became much, I had to add you to my WhatsApp group to get more information and guidance

Now u are in possession of the requisite knowledge, you are now acting haughty to people that you should be assisting
I first offered to help u and asked that you pm me simply because we studied the same course, a privilege I requested from someone here last winter when he posted his AL testimony for MSc Ecology in bremen, he only replied me his bsc discipline which happens to be the same with me, regrettably he refused my further enquiries

Bro I just want to tell you that no man is self-made, is delusion
Secondly, apply the virtue of patience when helping or raising someone, is tasking I know but do remember someone somewhere helped u also with the same thing
While I do not encourage pm over general questions that could be asked here to benefit a larger audience, but the bolded part of your reply seems inappropriate

I remain grateful to some people here, not limited to this list
Berliner, dailydolar, hadassheke, pecky222 and many others that I will recognize at the fullness of time

There are jobs and there are jobs got me thinking.... Work get level pass one another lol
@Deustchemann being resourceful and very helpful is also very important... Going this winter as planned.. I pray it works out beyond your expectations man.. You've always being there putting ideas up. You suppose Don dey speak Dutch ooh!!!

Deustchemann:

It is generally recommended to have at least a basic command of the language before you leave Nigeria. Even if you will find a job that does require you to speak English, how will you navigate through the city where most inscriptions are in the German language?
So it's advisable. At least even if it's basic introduction, names of objects, places, letters and numbers, basic sentence composition and so on. Depending on prevailing factors, you might not need to attend a language school as these stuffs can be gotten from mobile apps.
Your employers may or may not ask for proof of proficiency in German. They'll only say they want you to be fluent in German.
You can start learning here and if you put your heart to it well, you'll improve steadily when you get there.

This is a post copied from honourableseyi, cc hadampson

Without the language, you can still hustle. However, the longtime goal for those that want to stay back should also be taken into consideration. Having the knowledge of the language is a big plus. Though some people are not in the environment where they can learn the language, thus making it cumbersome. Don't worry if you are in this category, you will get along. But for those that have the opportunity; please, try and learn it. The truth of the matter is; in Germany, there are jobs and there are jobs. People in Germany will understand better. Shalom

Adeolamikaay, I'm still in Nigeria o grin na this winter I wan go

That's being thoughtful but since your medium of study is English. You go and rough it... Have heard from friends schooling in Germany that he knows of people that don't hear much of German and are working. After all he was just a novice when he was going as well... So, it all depends on you sir and the decision you feel it's suiting and point of view.

@deutsman and other brothers in the house, do we need german language proficiency to get a job in germany while studying? as my course will be delivered in english, i was advised to stay till summer application and learn some german as many employers in Germany demand for the language proficiency cert b4 employment , however, i cant seem to bear staying in this country, i feel irritated every second of my stay here. i plan to learn a bit here and continue in Germany

Thanks boss.... More blessings to all nairalanders! !!
I couldn't get their direct mail. So, I use the contact stuff on their Wed page but as we speak haven't hear from them... If no response I will do as stated.. That's what I was thinking but I needed more clarity.

Use the second one(Wednesday)

It simply means they have shifted your initial date from from Monday to Wednesday due to technicalities.

It happened to one of my friends

You can also mail the embassy...
