emmanuelewumi: I will rather buy the one at Ikoyi,
But wait ooo, since the property already has tenants and the rent can pay the mortgage. Why is the owner selling.
He is either selling at an inflated price, he expects a correction in the real estate market or he has over leveraged himself by taking more than enough loans.
All I know is that real money making opportunities are top kept secrets and no one will invite others to understand their money making secrets.
My opinion though.
I might be wrong
I have been wrong on several occasions Hahahahahaha this bros always asking real questions Person is in America but looking for investors in Nigeria smh. Same America where you can get 3-7% loans vs Nigeria where the rates are cutthroat rates.. Scams/Hustling can come from any part of the world |

SonofElElyonRet: Agribusiness company, Ellah Lakes Plc, has revealed that it has notified the Securities and Exchange Commission of an investment by a core investor of the firm.
In an update filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited, the company disclosed that the fresh capital injection came as part of its fundraising activities.
Earlier in the year, the shareholders of Ellah Lakes approved the plan to raise about N5bn in capital either by private placement or any other equity issuance.
The firm explained, “Following the meeting of the Board of Directors of Ellah Lakes, which was held on 27 March 2024, the company has commenced the process of raising funds via private placement and notified the Securities and Exchange Commission of an investment by a core investor. Above was carried in punch newspaper of April 2024. Who is the new core investor? Six abi seven months later, you are still asking "who is the new investor?" It should be "who WAS the investor" That investor is not new again |

emmanuelewumi: My loans does not require monthly payments, but at least the accumulated interest should be paid at maturity and then you can rollover. But if you want monthly payments fine, but payments are flexible and does not require a fixed payment.
Eg N10 million at 30% per annum for 6 months, your interest at maturity will be N1.5 million, you can pay the accumulated interest at maturity and rollover for another 6 months
You can also pay down part of the principal Not requiring monthlies makes a difference. What if you could afford to pay the monthlies from your regular income? How would you approach this? FYI, the total interest on this loan is ₦500,000 as long as it is paid within 12 months |

And any month you default they compound it for the next month as capital then do the 5% interest. 😂😂😂 no senior man. 5% is for the year. I don’t even look at or consider loans over 6% APR. |

emmanuelewumi: The bond gives me regular income for the next 10 years.
Some of the loans can be referred to as bridge loan, assuming you are expecting dividends and coupons of about N10 million in January 2025, and you see a business and an investment opportunity. You can easily borrow against your financial assets and get funds within 48 hours.
At 30% if you pay back the loan in January which is in 2 months time the interest on the loan will be about 5%.
That means the interest on the N10 million will be around 500k.
Meanwhile you used the loan to get eg goods from abroad with a mark up of 50% and above, thereby making a profit of N4.5 million using banks money Thanks for the response, I have a follow up hypothetical question, if you could borrow ₦10M right now at 5%. With a monthly minimum payment of ₦200k until the loan is paid(within 12 months). How would you invest that ₦10M? |

emmanuelewumi: Kilode, loan at 30% and 42% Keh.
Even me, the highest interest on my loans is 27%.
Oando should be able to negotiate lowers rates na, abi na cowboys dey give the loans to the company ni Pa Emma, I've seen you suggest to people to invest in bonds at 20%, which makes me believe you hold some of these bonds in your portfolio. Now to my question, why invest for 20% then turn around and take loans at 27%? Isn't that like hustling backwards? I see a negative spread in this scenario. My understanding is very limited with bonds, that is why I am asking. |

KarlTom: We talk about spread and diversification. Personally, I feel we are all traders (directly or indirectly) with one aim: make money with minimal risk.
I have always said that I do not do TA or FA (and I am not willing to start learning). I rely more on getting information before it is released to the market. Once I have info, I go BIG.
Regardless of how we put it, NEWS is what moves the market (reports, board changes, acquisitions etc)
What is good for the goose is not entirely good for the gander o (na manage gander go manage am)
Every mallam to his kettle... Some people have no morals at all . Imagine making money by cheating and not putting in any work. Like I said before, this is still Nigeria, where like 80% of the people are crooks and proud of it 🤦🏽♂️ |

That is the first thing I read before going through the financial.
A lot of information are in that small print, but most of us don't read it That person just wants to 10-20X their money, they don’t care how it happens 😃. What’s their business with auditors? Eventually, we will all learn |

RodgersAkpafu: They are not a scam Their system is just...... Somehow
So lemme explain it in simple terms
For every asset on an exchange, there is the bid section (how much people are willing to buy) and the offer section (how much people are willing to sell)
So the highest bid price and the lowest offer price is always not the same the highest bid price will always be lower than the lowest offer price (well most of the time)
the difference between the two is what we call the "spread" in finance
In some sectors, the spread is very small (eg banking stocks, you often see 50k to N1 gap ) some other industries it is much wider Because Bamboo operates on the market buy Nd not limit buy/sell, what they do is as below
WHEN U WANT TO BUY SHARES. it will go and pick the offer price available there, which is always higher than the highest bid rate....
WHEN YOU WANNA SELL, it will now go to the bid side and pick the highest possible bid (the available one) And like I said earlier, the highest bid will almost always be lower than the least offer price
That's why it appears that bamboo is cheating
The limit buy/sell function is mot there yet for some reason best known to them. Just like when MTN said per second billing wasn't possible back in the day until Glo came in. All of a sudden, that which wasn't possible became possible. Scams come various forms. Like 2 years ago I raised these concerns here about all these "Fintech" companies. There are good ones with good intentions but majority of get as e be. Yochaa is also a Fintech company, while they also a middle man but theirs is straight forward as long as you know how to set limit orders. |
