Your figures are modest. Ote$ puts it at N2trillion. Why did he push out those figures though? wink
If he thinks it is worth 2 trillion why did he offer to buy at 250B?? Believe these vultures at your own risk

Oga with the wolves in nigeria. I can bet you if you give otadola full control of transcorp he will push it #100 and above in 5 years. That man does everything possible to remain in the dollar billionaire list
As outrageous as this sounds, this is still less than 4,000% return lol.

10,000% no be beans! 100 billion naira companies don't just grow 10,000% in 5 years!!

It would actually be a 9,900% return.

Now that may seem exaggerative and possibly a bit over the line, but it is not impossible.
The growth of a firm can follow exponential pattern in an unimaginably short timeframe if and where there are "square pegs in square holes".

The said coy did deliver near 200% ROI within a space of ten days you remember?
Assume just 0.1% of that rate daily and unlock true value with a proactive and efficient magt,
and TRANSCORP might deliver even more in <4 yrs.

While I understand your drive to want to call him to order, this is subtle reminder that nothing is impossible in financial mkt.

It can go either way. (value accretion or erosion) ... everything is possible! wink cheesy cool

It is well
Bros I respect you, but like I said lets be guided! At 9,900% the market cap of Transcorp will be N1.5 trillion!

Is it possible for me to become a billionaire tomorrow? Yes, very possible, but is it probable? NO!

Just because anything is possible does not mean we should be throwing imaginary numbers around

Sir, investors have different goals and objectives. I consider myself a middle class Nigerian, with access to service that offer me free cash flow that No Government in this Nigeria can ever taxed directly.
My risk drive is driven by this heavenly grace which promotes my goals and objectives.
In order word, I based my risk on fundamental aspect of Nigeria economy.
I do not run after the performance of companies based on their quoted prices on to the exchange.
For instance, The problem of power generation would one day be solved by the private sector, this is what motivate me to acquire Transcorp.
For your information, the most potential companies that can turn N1000 to N100,000 in the next 5;years regardless of the direction of Nigeria economy is Mr TRANSCORP.
Bookmark this page.
People haven't realised that the potential in Transcorp outweigh the risk.
This is how I invest my sweat and blood.
Also, Meyer and Morison could be bought with fund/s that is not going to hurt you.
Invest and invest, set target of unit accumulations for yourself.
Start with few units, buy high and low.
I remember, about 10years ago, when I was a novince investor, I contacted a Nairalander named feelamong, I pleaded to him in an email correspondence, he recommended UCAP that was trading at sub N2.00.
I started buying and buying, and in those days, you could only buy on Morgan platform by sending email request. The Morgan platform of today was not mobile compliant then, and the lady that usually reply our mails before the advent of Yemisi, once asked me what did you see in this UCAP? there are better stocks.
Fast and forward, the then 500,000 units in UCAP is still at average cost price of N3.5.
From this I can tell you confidently that there are hidden values in all Tony Elumelu governing companies that had remain static at current prices.
In other word, UBA, Africa Prudential , Transcorp, UCAP.
I'm moderately strong in these companies.
They do not make sense to fundamental and Technical analysts.
They are always greenish in my portfolio.
My portfolio is a thing of joy 2me.
Wishing you all the very best in our uncertain Nigeria economy where boys are now men, where generational wealth are being built.
10,000% in the next 5 years? Please lets be guided when PREDICTING the future! I wonder why we did not see all these posts until recently whe Ote$ started hismanipulations.

BTW, the UCAP you used as an example only returned 450% to you and UCAP is like the only major triple+ bagger example I see on here but some how Transcorp is goin to do 10,000%.

Can you go a step further and analyse the dividend growth over a period of 5 to 10 years
Here is the data I was able to scrape from the Internet. You're better with spreadsheet, you can enter the info for us to determine the growth rates

Starting in 2019 as that is when MTN started payments

2019 2020 2021 2022
MTN N7.92 N9.4 N13.12 N15.6
GTCO. N2.80 N3 N3 N3.1
Zenith N2.80 N3 N3.1 N3.2
UBA. N1 N0.52 N1 N1.1
Okomu N4 N7 N8 N21

I watched the movie nah, Jordan and his team made mad money by cunning people into buying bad stocks, especially dead penny stocks. It has nothing to do with volatility.

Those people in the movie were not even doing any TA or FA, just be buying stocks based on recommendations from the wrong people.

To make money in the market you need to do due diligence, whether TA, FA or with luck charms.
Wolf of Wallstreet is more of comedy self, no real lessons there.

As stated, this bros no know the meaning of volatility. Maybe back in 2008 the 10% limit wasn’t a thing.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Ades1: 6:31pm On Apr 15, 2023
The one thing I almost never hear anyone talk about in this place is dividend growth rate! This is a secret sauce of wealth generation! Notable increases so far,

MTN 19%+

Zenith 3%+

GT 3%+

UBA 13%+

Okomu 30%+

Total 15%+

The big banks are slow with their dividend growth, but their starting yield is high! With growths like these, what you need as an investor is to be consistent with your investing and let time do the rest!

Plz explain much better for we who com to learn
Volatility means sudden and unpredictable movements! Movements like Facebook dropping 25-30% in a few hours of trading! Movements like Silicon Valley dropping from $100s to pennies within a day or two!

The most our stocks can lose or gain daily is 10%, not 30, 40 or 50% like foreign stocks. But according to bros we are volatile

The Nigerian Stock market is a very volatile investment channel. It favours only the super rich that are able to buy majority shares of a company. Before you invest in the stock market, I would advise you watch the movie titled "the wolf of wall street" and understand its intricacies.
Market that daily movements up or down is capped at 10% is volatile? Are you a learner?

Does anyone know when Zenith banks and GTB will be paying their dividends?By the is time last year ,they have paid.
Dividend payment for Zenith and GT dropped on the 6th and 8th of April 2022 respectively, will definitely be late this year. But this time last year, they had not paid.

This delay is probably the fault of clueless Emefiele and his cronies at CBN.

Rome wasn't built in a day......and,
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a step.

That was a good plan if you asked me because not all are traders.
We have those who invest for passive income, so such plan is a good one in my opinion.

Even if you buy at N10, with regular cashflow and, if you're consistent and keeps increasing your stake, you'll be earning something on monthly basis I Blv. smiley
We are basically saying the same thing, so I agree with you. No one poured N15M into UCAP when it was sinking, that is not normal human behavior. People tend to build their portfolios overtime. N100k here, N200k there, at least that is how I have been able to build mine to more than N110K in monthly income

In 2020, I purchased UCAP at 2.62 Naira per share, although some individuals may have acquired it at a lower price. UCAP provided a dividend payment of 1.5 Naira per share last year. Thus, a 15 million Naira investment would result in a 8.5 million Naira return, which translates to approximately 715,000 Naira per month over 12 months. Better than working a 9 to 5 in a lot of jobs.
The question is, how many people invested 15 million in UCAP at N3? The few that did most likely sold when it hit N10 for a nice 250% return while also pocketing some juicy dividends along the way.

I now people here bought UCAP at cheap rates but there is difference between investing N500k and N15M

I bought UBA early this week @N8.20 even after the SVB news broke.
Will buy more soon.
I am a long term investor and don't allow the daily noise to disturb me.
Also checking stock prices everyday is really not necessary if u are in for the long term.
Stocks will fall and rise and rise and fall.
Planning to use most of my dividend this year to increase my UBA holding.
Personally, this is what i like to read on here. People putting money where their mouth is. Not just making noise but actually back it up with their money! Kudos bros

This is funny. Nothing dey happen to Nigerian banks. The big boys just trying to drive down the price to get the softies out of the market. Nigerian banks dey gidigba. Everytime a little bit of selling-off happens that drives the price south people always come up with all these stories of how Nigerian banks are about to suffer.
Totally agree. The funny part is if by mistake all the hysteria people are calling for materializes, and Zenith, UCAP and GTB are at N10 and N9 respectively, these people will still not buy! They will start with another chapter of hysteria that will take the prices down to N3!!!

The noise is tiring, but lets keep falling, so my dividends can buy a lot more shares

2] investors in bank are not to be protected as they take risk to invest only depositors are protected
3] tax payers will not bear losses in SVB collapse
4] will not stop at this, will do whatever is needed
5] The banking system is safe
