Adelaide, Australia. Edmar Mednis said he played his best game of the tournament against Judit. "I
was careful in that game", he said.
"Grandmasters don't like to lose to 10-year-old girls, because then we make the front page of all the papers."
"I always say that women should have the self-confidence that they are as good as male players, but only if they are willing to work and take it seriously as much as male players" said Judith.
She has been the #1 rated woman in the world since 1989 (when she was 12 years old).
On August 13, 2014,
she announced her retirement from competitive chess.
