And my visa had already expired by then. I think i'm callingNigerian embassy today. That's the only option I think is available. They r with my passport and they gave me a note of worthiness pending the time they would rectify my case. The only issue now is this our lagos embassy..I know for a fact that they can be very nonchalant. Pls you guys should also put me in your prayers so the Nigeria embassy can pick there calls or answer mails. Cos they said they need to Send the passport back to Nigeria for renewance. Thanks all.

Once you got your Passport stamped at POE then there is no need for any stress and strain, the stamp represent your Green card for 1 good year.Majority of American dont know how to read and interpret VISA, I experienced it and I have to teach even my employer too.once your Passport is still valid and the Stamp reads that you were at the ponit of Entry before the Visa lapse then you can always refer to it.

Still need your advice on what to do concerning my Green Card.
I told u earlier that i called USCIS office and the gave me a tracking number to track my green card i tracked it and found out it was delivered on the 28th of sept to my Host former address.
I called the Post office they said they have delivered it to the given address.
We have gone to the former address to see if i we can meet the new occupant but it seems no one has fully packed in but it seems someone comes to pick mails from the mail box.
My host droped a letter in his post box dat someone was expecting a letter dropped @this address pls could u call this number
wen we went back the 3rd time the note has been taken with other letters there but no one has called since 3days now.
Pls what do i do

I also changed my address @the port of entry wen i arrived @JFK but wen i called USCIS they did nt effect the change the still went ahead to post it to the old addy

Sorry to hear about that, you can still go ahead with your job search and other activities with your Naija pali or one year. You can file for replacement of green card with form I-91.

We departed Lagos on 25th Sept., via Emirates, had a few minutes stop over in Dubai and finally left for New York. It was a smooth experience especially with the feelings that you are travelling on an A380-800 airbus....lolz
So far so good, it's been nice and cool since we got here. I have been busy with settling down completely and some other stuffs and i must say that the experience has been very good and stress-free.

1. How do i get health insurance and which one is most accommodating
2. I went to apply for my ssn and was told that i should with for 14 working days incase the immigration service at the POE had already applied on my behalf. Anyone encountered this same issue?
3. What can i do here with a Bsc in Human Anatomy? Can i find a work or shud I go back to school? Which school and what course can i enrol in on order to get a lucrative job.
4. My host is charging $500 per month on my stay. With your experience, is it a fair deal?

1) Health is good but that should not be the number one thing now except you are so sick or pregnant. Get your SSN first and your green card.
2)Yes, you have to wait for everything

ND is more of Associate degree base on the course outline and course duration.
